  1. Maybe you try the 109 next time :megalol:
  2. I don't checked every single post but as far as I know the complaints about how difficult a two seater may be came from other users. Cobra never lost a word about it. Otherwise many other options like the F-4 would also be dead. According to all clues I have seen so far it will be a F-14 (my guess). If ED will get a multiplayer two seater working in the not so far future (and maybe someone make an AH-64) I will need no other games for the next decade.
  3. Ok, as promised I made another flight over MV. There are very few smoke plumes with these effects on my side. As you can see in the picture only two over this part of the town. My settings are high for both, scenes and vis range. Maybe some kind of a former effects test. Since some People get serious fps issues with that it would be worth looking into it....
DCS Open Beta 1.2.14.35513.594 released, you can update your Open Beta builds. F-15C external fuel tank weight fixed F-15C unintended roll fixed
  5. I refered only to the graphics effect. I have no fps problem with the effects in my picture. Btw as said by some others these plumes seem to be only around MV. Will take a flight there next evening and report back.
  6. Or to make it short... How deep are you into physics, flight model creating, 3D modeling and programming? There are experienced excellent 3rd Party developer teams which work a couple of years to bring us a new airframe... If you just wan't some arcade fun it would be a lot easier to try another game... (no offense) Otherwise, if you have serious ambitions you should really talk to the team since there may be legal problems in adding planes (especially if you would like to share them).
  7. Maybe you should point out what your intention is. Modding an existing plane, fly an AI aircraft or create a new one? For the last Point you should talk with ED officials since this may be a bit more work than you imagine to say it cautious :music_whistling:
  8. Strange, made a screenshot with 1.2.12.35194 some minutes ago. Thats my result, Looks different from all the other examples. My driver version is 344.48.
  9. Thanks guys, that was my concern. Let's hope for the future...
  10. Since this thread already exists, is there a pilot with an idea to successfully employ the BL-755? Tried two approaches: fast low level drop (750km/h, 100m, level flight) - no explosions at all dive drop (600km/h, 1000m, 30° dive) - one big explosion, no clustering so any ideas are welcome
  11. Ok most of the sources are from YouTube. I think that says all. Even if you look at Wikipedia, there is stated that Russia claimed to have jammed the Spy1, not shut it down. From the United States was no statement at all. No neutral sources were available to confirm the russian claims. As far as I know from my time onboard a german frigate the skipper had two choices: 1. To sit there and let the pilots play their game (which is an unfriendly act when there are no common maneuvers and no comms - Try to show me a News report where a Hornet or a british Tornado passed a russian strike group while flying an attack profile. The skipper achieved two goals, he deescalated the situation and his EW Team learned valuable Information about the russian ECM-Pod 2. Even if the Spy1 got jammed (which I won't believe without a neutral source saying so) the Skipper was able to use the AN/SPS67(V)3 for low flying targets or switch to target Illumination (which is a really unfriendly act, we did this only in preplanned maneuvers against british Hawks simulating sea skimmer attacks). In These cases he would have been able to track the fighters and last but not least there were still 2 CIWS ready for action... I would think it is 15% real and 85% propaganda. As stated before, look which nations are conducting such "show of force". I think most NATO pilots would never get in the air again if they play sea skimmer against a russian ship during their maneuvers in the barents sea. I think the jamming took part but instead of 27 resignations were 27 people which had to be held back from pressing the trigger :joystick:
  12. Nice storytelling but as a former non-russian, non-american radar operator I'm really amazed to hear the whole story from you, maybe in another thread.... How can two jets shut down the AA-Radar of a frigate? And by the way, as far as I remember US-frigates don't have AEGIS systems... :music_whistling:
  13. Would not say it is a bug. Maybe the description of the main intercom panel is not really correct. You can see no sub switch which is dedicated to the LASTE. Even the main volume knob only turns down the volume of all shown sub switches.
  14. Yes I know what you mean. In many things I would be on your side on this topic, like the ASP. I'm pretty sure that we will see some option for that in the future when the way radars work improve with DCS. The Grom is another point. It is no fictional weapon and older models of the 21 were able to fire beam riders in A/G even the RS-2US. So for me it's more like fitting an F-35 with a dumb bomb than screwing a JDAM on a plane from the sixties... The point is this is the closest method normal people can come in flying the MiG. Instead of hammering on the developers how this module still can contain bugs (in my version it's still listed as beta) we should focus on serious problems one after another (See the dozens of bugs already fixed since release). In my opinion it's no proplem posting bugs, even if they aren't bugs. It's the intonation that is used sometimes on these forums.
  15. Sorry but I don't get it. As already seen 2 "bugs" mentioned in the op are crap as a result of missing knowledge. 20 minutes of reading the forum and this thread had not been here. I like realistic sims but at what costs? *irony on* Delete the Grom? Ok than you can delete the nuclear weapons too. There is no damage modeling for it. Maybe we should simply delete the complete A/G part because DCS uses a hit point system for damage modeling. Thats so BF4...You can even respawn... *irony off* I think we should take a look on real problems. You will never get it 100%. If you can live with it, enjoy DCS. Otherwise I suggest you enlist in your countries airforce. There you get everything, including the only one life mod :)
  19. Not exactly as I understand. DCS 2.0 is the program version that features the release of EDGE which is the new rendering engine with better performance, stunning graphics and some new maps afterwards :joystick:
  22. Edit: Ok I think I know what you mean with it but that strategy was used after some days into the war. During the first raids the missiles were shot in guided mode. A good review could be "Viper pilot" where these change in tactics is described really good. I don't know if there were modifications on iraqi SA-2 but i think it speaks for itself if a whole flight can't pick up a single launch were dozens of missilles flying around. Some days later after some reprogramming you can read of exactly working RWR's during further raids.
  23. Yes, but I'dont know what you want to say with it (sry, english is not my native language). As I would imagine the Fan Song activation for Missile tracking should initiate a RWR warning for missile launch!? PS: I have most of my knowledge by documentary books, if you have better hands on material I will believe it.
  24. 1. For sure there are limitations in memory and in this case you are right. Eagles were the main platform which encountered These Problems. But even with 6 months preparation some genius decided Gammon and Grumble threats are more likely to expect at this time...Maybe it was simply grossly negligent :music_whistling: 2&3. I really mean the RWR not the ECM (Don't know about the ECM stuff but can also be true if you say so). Yes there were warnings on the RWR that they got illuminated but without a clue which system it was. Ok, you can do your evasive turns under all forms of attack but again I would say with 6 months prep it was at least negligent. From "Strike Eagle" page 111 (Capt. John Norbeck): "I called and told them about all the SAM's and that our RWR gear did not give us a single indication of all those SA-2 launches. It was not a malfunctioning instrument, either. We had done the self check on it on the line. It was fine. It just didn't have the programming to pick up the band they were using up there." This was no single case...
  25. Hi, versuchs mal damit. Ist nicht von mir und aus dem englischen Forum: Follow instructions: 1) Enter in DCS and click Options 2) Click Special and select MIG21 3) Check > Simplifiel Engine,Prevent canopy, custom cockpit > and click OK. 4) Return on Desk DCS 5) Click Option 6) Special and select MIG21 7) Remove check>Simplifiel Engine,Prevent canopy, custom cockpit > and click OK.
