I think that's the reason why the guys doing the real stuff everyday get paid for it :megalol: BTW: Maybe it's a bit ill but flying something with PFM and a clickable cockpit after work is real hard work. But some kind of work I love to do

ATM not, let's hope the next patch or finally 2.0 will bring salvation :music_whistling:

You don't have to read all but the thread is exactly the third in the LN forum and has the same title as yours. As it was already discussed it is not so simple to create a new model with another cockpit and other weapons in a couple of weeks or months. BTW I have the feeling that the next plane coming from LN is maybe a two seater ;)

Flight Qualifications Campaign
FSKRipper replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
I think the TOT's work good if you keep your briefed Take off time. I need 11 minutes for ramp start and wait the 4 minutes until TO. When you have programmed your Nav System as briefed you should be fine with approx. 240 kts. -
Flight Qualifications Campaign
FSKRipper replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
Ok, edited my logbook and made another try. During Fence in the instructor told me to make a markpoint on the target. I think that was my problem last time. I turned onto the target too early which prohibited the IP trigger to work. Everything seems to be fine now. Thanks for your outstanding work Sabre, especially since DCS is bringing in new "features" with every second patch. :megalol: -

The practice mission worked fine. It's the campaign mission that was not working. Will edit my logbook and try again tonight. -
Flight Qualifications Campaign
FSKRipper replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
Had a similar problem today. Everything looked fine in AFT04, had the Fence check but the IP trigger didn't fire and finished with a rating of 0. Wanted to play it again to post a track but as I see now the campaign switched back to AFT03. The training mission worked fine for me... AAT Version 1.4 DCS: 1.2.11.34087 -
Clarification would be nice regarding SPS-141-100
FSKRipper replied to TwojaStara's topic in MiG-21Bis
If you mean his last post to ECM and A-10C it is no longer up to date. As stated on the last page the patch came out after his tests. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126447&page=6 For all other means you might be correct. Don't have enough spare time to get deep into ECM atm but would still think that the people and testers in the general DCS Forum could give you more detailed information. -

Lot's of interesting questions. Maybe you should use another subforum. Radar frequencies and the implemented ECM models are more regular DCS stuff instead of Leatherneck specific themes. Don't nail me on that but some patches ago I saw a notice that ECM strenght was upgraded (by 10-20%). If this was not only for the A-10C I would think DCS uses a similar ECM model for all aircraft (with type specific ranges). I don't think it would make sense to model specific frequencies at the current state of DCS. Since most modern Radars use ECCM tactics like frequency switching the amount of work would be incredible (Not to mention that most characteristics are still classified). :music_whistling: -
Short question, your landing seems to be some kind of a last minute touchdown, very hard, late down the runway and with high speed as the airbrakes would imply. Was it intended as fast version or emergency procedure? Could imagine your tanks were still filled to the top... got the irony at the last 5 seconds :megalol:

Interview with Leatherneck Studios

Nice try pal. You can get F-117 and B-17 Flying fortress as well. But for what price... eye cancer? :megalol: -

Absolutely right! Think of Tornado from Digital Integration. It is possible to handle that as it was in 1993. Sure the models are more complex now but the AI routines and the programming skills have also come a long way... I would prefer a two seater like the Cat with a working (but not for everybody perfect) RIO UI than only single seaters. If it work's, maybe we will see an Apache in the far future. I think Flagrum would love to change his sig again :music_whistling: -
Hello Grimes, thank you for your tip. Tried it but without success. I attached the mission file and the track. I made sure that for the georgian ships ROE=Weapon hold is set as first command. After mission start, they will move in position start firing at the tanker. I have no idea why. @MasterFlash. Thanks, for your tip. Will think of this for my next projects. It also keeps it cleaner. Hello WC, thanks for your quick reply. I tried both versions but the enemy planes still reacted to me. However I found a way by stop being lazy and give the ROE and threat reaction orders for every single waypoint of the flightplan. Maybe the orders interfered with the CAP-task?! I don't know enough about whats going on behind the scenes...:music_whistling: Still got that problem for ships but this is maybe a different thing. When placing ships of opposing forces adjacent to each other they will begin fighting even with ROE=Weapons Hold for each waypoint. Found nothing like Threat reaction=None for them. Im still not happy with the situation but satisfied that my OP problem is solved :smilewink:

Hello Folks, tried to get more into the editor but I'm stuck at the moment. As the title said, I'm trying to create an opfor plane which is flying a racetrack pattern. I used the immortal setting, ROE=weapons hold and no threat reaction. The MiG has no external weapon stores, only droptanks. Now the problem, when getting near the plane, it will start a head on engagement with guns and then continuing a dogfight. Am I missing something or aren't the game mechanics supposed to work like that?

Ah ok. I was also wrong. Thought it would be some kind of the Lancer upgrade. In this case it could be also difficult to get reliable information on the Kopyo. Most nationd seem to have problems with sharing data with flight sim enthusiasts :). Would also like to see a modern version but at the moment I'm more interested in what the puppet master will reveal as next aircraft. What you said about time... I know it well, a job, a wife and a 14 month old son are very time consuming. Maybe DCS with a big amount of planes will be ready when my little wingmen get's a HOTAS for his 12th birthday :)

[EVALUATING] ASP for A-2-A gun use incorrect / Radar

Sounds nice but not very promising. Don't Forget these great guys are still working hard on bug fixing. Major problems 1. To get first hand facts about the Radar. Israel don't talk much about it's developments including the jammer of the Bison. 2. Modeling of AG radar. Could be possible for a third party but will take too much time I think. We should wait for ED with the F-18 since they will have to solve this problem as well. After that they will hopefully be so kind and share this technology with other developers. 3. You call it mod. If you would spend again 50 bucks I see no problem but how many people will do? I think beside the external model and some weapons they will have to go much of the way again. Cockpit, systems, sensors, balancing. Just my opinion :music_whistling:

Flight Qualifications Campaign
FSKRipper replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
Hi Sabre. Tried to Play the BFT campaign again after more than a year. In BFT06 during the forced landing I experienced something strange. When rolling out (without emergency brakes) I exloded shortly after overshooting the runway. In the training mission (no track) and the supplied short mission I exited the runway every time with the same speed around 188 km/h and had no more damage than a broken nosewheel. Are there any special parameters for the campaign or is this some random experience? Tacview.zip -
Sorry but how can you use some Youtube videos to judge the simulation level of this module? I'm aware that there are some problems with high altitude performance but the most (when looking at the further development steps) are minor system modifications like SAU or navigational equipment. The suspension is already known as under construction so in my minor opinion this is the best fixed wing simulation after the A-10C. Some "nerfs" to keep it competitive with other planes are surely existing but what do you want? There is simply no better MiG-21 Simulator on the market. I would ask my father how it feels for him to fly this bird but his last flight was 36 years ago for the East German Air Force. I would say give it some time but in my eyes this module makes a damn good Job

Nerven hilft also manchmal . Dranbleiben aber nicht übertreiben:thumbup:
