I think it would be possible to add these things since they are not more than eye candy (I think the C-101 already features an external GPU as you requested) but as you must understand the ED Team and the LN guys are still very occupied with preparing DCS 2.0, new aircraft etc. Simply a matter of fact to survive on the free market... You mentioned FSX, I think it would be possible for a skilled modder to introduce such crowded start up procedures but DCS has more relevant weakspots to care before.... Just my two Cents... :music_whistling:

Noticed it. There is some time to go until this will be implemented but I hope the C-101 and the Hawk guys will be ready to deliver the rear cockpits when time has come. Would be too bad if we have to wait some months to fly these wonderful birds with a crew.

Hello Finger, nice pics again but the information is spread to wide in my opinion. Maybe we should ask for a subforum like "MiG-21 construction basics and manuals". :music_whistling: I don't think many users have the time to observe all subthreads for your documents. Personally, I would like to see it in one place if I'm interested in technical details. :smartass:
-
Ok, if you want to know the exact detail we have to wait for an official answer but I would guess on electrical systems. If you can convince the system to send the trigger impulse to only one pylon it would work. Maybe by manipulating the connections on the pylon selector knob. BTW I don't know if the MiG-21 uses an electrical Trigger so it's only a guess in the blind.
-
As Cobra said, it was never intended to work such way. The MiG-21 from the assembly line is not able to do it this way, thats the product LNS delivered to us. If you ask if it is possible, sure. You can also tune a Vespa to drive 140 km/h if you know what you do. So if you know what to mod feel free to pimp your 21 but it will not represent the thousands of MiG-21 that was in service. That's the point, it doesn't reflect the "real" MiG-21.

Is this project still being developed?
FSKRipper replied to Fangio's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Thanks for clearing that up. My last info was that there is some kind of teamwork by 1C maddox and ED but that info is very old. Maybe one problem to the public is the same project name... A big trailsign on kickstarter could lead these poor backers to this forum!? :music_whistling: -

I don't think the OP had trolling in mind. For people who are not up do date with these forums it is difficult to understand the mix of this project with several third party developers. Some weeks ago there was a report in a famous german gaming magazin about a statistics loving member of NeoGAF forums who made a risk analysis of 185 successfully founded kickstarter projects. According to the development state he came to the conclusion that 10 of them have no chance to get finished. DCS WW2 is one of them. http://www.gamestar.de/news/vermischtes/3083199/kickstarter.html That's not my opinion btw... Maybe a little more PR work regarding gaming magazines could clear these misunderstandings... Patience young padawan. Emotions are the way to the dark side :music_whistling: Maybe you should relay this to the guys in the russian section. A serious investigation takes some time and as you can see in the thread title, evaluation is in progress. Please remember that these complains, bashing posts and emotinal but not rational comments made Wags canceling the weekly development update. -

Ok I think we had a misunderstanding due to language issues. As this thread is dedicated to AG effectivness and tactics, I supposed you are talking about the fuse setting of bombs. Regarding your last post I would assume you mean the current absence of circuit breakers?
-
Please blame ED for the fuses, LNS has nothing to do with it as for damage and blast modeling. Hint: The DCS main forum has a wishlist

Ok I found another document for the three gunsgight versions (ASP-PFD, ASP-PFM, ASP-PFM-B) of east german M/MF series implying auto range in a status called "locked". cover.pdf gunsight.pdf -

Would you be able to share additional information/manuals with us? The contact mentioned above said that technical details and construction plans were not defined in their maintenance books. These details were treated as secret. All "modern" IFF equipment with malfunctions had to be removed and directly shipped back to the Soviet Union without opnening it and try a repair. -

Thank you for this advise. I contacted the webmaster of the regarding site (http://www.mig-21-online.de/) and he confirmed the mistake (he also uses official military documents btw). Regarding the SRZO his statement was, that he will check it with some fellow technicians but according to his written remarks for the maintenance book the NVA 21-M used a SRO "Chrom" and not the SRZO "Chrom-Nickel". The SRZO with a higher frequency count and more resistance to jamming came in later models to the "Jagdfliegergeschwader 8". He don't insists that this was true for all east german squadrons. Thanks for your translation. That was the kind of information I was looking for in a half dozen of threads regarding the ASP. -

Let me make something clear, I will ignore any posts which include developer bashing or insults against members of this forum. This includes your last one. Would you have tried to join in a productive discussion like finger ore some1 and bring some facts and publications instead of agitating against Novak this could have been an interesting exchange of views. I don't have an idea how old you are but looking at your join date I would recommend you carefully read the forum rules... -
I'm not sure but I don't see more than some technical details. It would be great if this could be brought together in one manual but nothing more. No specific version mentioned, no photos only hand made writings and drawings... Without confirmation by other sources? I could serve you an invincible Eurofighter if you are impressed by such drawings [emoji1] But yes, it would be a lot of fun to see a module, especially the flight model made by people who never experienced the 21 from the cockpit.

[EVALUATING] ASP for A-2-A gun use incorrect / Radar
FSKRipper replied to Shark-Bait's topic in Weapons
Weapon systems yes, equipment, no. I never denied the ability of the ASP-5 to use radar information. I'm not 100% sure if all variants had the same equipments in all air forces. But the 21M and the 21MF used in the east german air force used a RP21 MA which is some kind of radar gunsight. We call it "Funkmessvisier". The RP-22 is a completely different construction site.... I don't say so, but since it is not my native language I would kindly request the exact page of your link stating the coherence between the gunsight and the radar. I will take the time and check this with a native speaker, ok? I mean the first picture by finger the book with the red envelope. Is that really not cyrillic? If so I'm sorry. Last but not least I hit the right model :) Edit: I don't know how good your german is finger, this is a datacard of an east german MF Again, I don't deny the possibility of a radar range function. But before I join your team, convince me! www.mig-21-online.de_mf.pdf -

Before this will take a spam character, my russian is not the best but your book says MiG-21MF right? Maybe it will follow but on the pages shown, I can't find a clue about a rangefinding by the RP-22M. -

FSKRipper replied to Shark-Bait's topic in Weapons
I can understand your point of view but otherwise I have not seen one reliable source stating that the ASP-5 is fed with range data by the RP-22M. It may be, but I have never found evidence on this point. Sure there are possibilities, the ASP-5 worked good in combination with a SRD-5MK radar rangefinder on older versions. But before posting in every LNS subforum that this is unfinished software (show me one module which is completely error free and not WIP), give us the proof :music_whistling:. The promised information from finger is still to be delivered... If you have no written evidence it would be nice to see some statements from real pilots or technicians (not the "a friend of mine" story). If you can't deliver it, i would stay with the LNS Version of the MiG. -
How to Add Custom Pages to the Kneepad

Anyone encountered problems with *jpg files or is it just me? Converting them to *.png works fine but all of my former Kneeboard files in jpg Format are no longer working. -

He is not stating that your source is wrong. As I understand it, both documents, the polish and the english one are of the same origin. He simply asks for another source document so no need to be upset. @ finger: I hoped you would deliver us some additional documents for the AA-ASP problem as promised. Another "facts" without a reliable source publication won't bring us any further :music_whistling: The grom comments are not relevant since the 21bis is not able to fire it in RL (see the numerous grom threads).
