  1. Done, works fine. Thanks for the quick answer
  2. Thx for the missions. I encountered a Problem with the ramp start. I'm using 1.2.15 and your last mission pack 1.05. When starting the mission the plane is already running.
  3. I think they will introduce an incognito mode for Cobra if this continues :megalol:
  4. First of all I'm not a flight engineer. But reading and taking part in the very emotional discussions during the last two months regarding the flight model, I would assume it is a compromise between reality and our sim. Many people were very upset about the speed barrier which was used to prevent massive engine damage. To satisfy the demands for more reality it was a logical step to remove this limit (as a quick step). I think in reality would be a safety margin but the result of overspeeding your engine is clear. In best cases a shorter life of your jet engine, a significant overspeed will lead to catastrophic engine damage (to the turbine blades) immediately. Maybe we will see some kind of random failure after exceeding the safe rpm but when reaching a critical value your engine will stop working (if not blowing up in flames).
  7. Here it is, hope it helps. To clear it up, I had the "sitting in the fuselage" bug after the patch. Running the repair solved this issue after downloading ~400MB. autoupdate_log.txt
  8. Run a repair after the patch (yes it's strange :music_whistling:) and the MiG21 will be fine. For FPS issues, post your settings, modules you tried and comparing screenshots would be nice...
  9. As far as I remember you won't need to assign a center position for use with the A-10C. It's automatically recognized as CCD sensor of the TGP while the other two positions reflect IR polarity (White hot/black hot) . Using these three way switches with other modules is another thing. You need special configuration files. For the MiG-21 this would be something like this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130459
  11. Maybe this is only a matter if you look at specific nations. This plane was used in the NVA for 15 years. Maybe LNS simply modelled an older version? According to my sources the east german air force used the MiG-21bis equipped with a RSBN-5S. :music_whistling: (Sorry but no direct link possible, website in german http://www.mig-21-online.de/)
  12. As the title says... no german FC3 manual as stated in the 1.2.15 changelog...
  13. Geht mir ebenso... Vielleicht könnte ja mal ein User mit deutschem DCS posten ob er sie hat aber irgendwas scheint da schief gelaufen zu sein.
  14. One of my favorite actors ever. R.I.P.
  15. Thanks for this patch, only one question... I installed the patch, run the repair (for the MiG-21 Problem) and now... I'm missing the Flaming Cliffs Manual in german language. I searched in DCS\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Doc without success. I'm using DCS in english but to my best knowledge all language versions were installed in the past!?
  17. I have only a slight imagination for which air force you work and can only speak for german air force standards but our pilots are supposed to study things like aerospace technology/aerospace engineering during their carreer. Won't say they have no idea how their plane works.
  18. Pleeease! First of all edit your last posts and try not to spam the whole thread with new thoughts every couple of minutes. 2nd, you constantly try to ignore that this is a beta. LN IS WORKING on the Asp 3rd, you know there is a bug report forum?
  19. The Caucasus map is only a starting point of DCS. I think for Nevada and especially the Strait of Hormuz, the Tomcat is a must have for scenarios around the 80's/ early 90's. Since carrier operations are planned and most of the FC3 aircraft (plus the the 21 bis, the Hawk, Uh-1H, Mi-8 are perfectly fitting into this timeframe, it would create amazing options to use this bird on both sides (in the A Version).
  20. I think it's like hiking in the wild with a swiss army knife. In 95% you won't need it but on this one special trip you left it at home, you will damn yourself forever
  21. No dogfight hit but I can recommend reading "Viper Pilot" by Dan Hampton. He used his cannon to successfully engage APC's and Trucks during a heavy gunfight between US Marines which were pinned down by Iraqi armed forces (2003). Several vehicles were destroyed and they retreated. So the gun is still a lifesaver (if you are one the right side of the gun :music_whistling:).
  22. Thanks for this patch. Let's hope nobody complains that his engine is desintegrating beyond a speed limit which was so "unrealistic" Only a joke, let it hit them hard :megalol:. Would like to see overspeeding turbine blades setting the whole thing to fire without warning.
  23. Instead of Steel Armor you should hope for something like Steel Beasts Pro PE. But since the physics of this simulator are enough to keep a modern I7 busy we should invest our prayers for a 200 year long life to get the computers for such a combined Air/Land/Sea simulator. Even with ED's indicated future plans we will get 10 years older to see all this stuff :megalol:
  24. Since I can't find an official thread I will make the report here. Every sort of crosswind is moving the rudder to the respective direction. Very funny during landing runs
  25. First of all welcome to the forum. You joined some days ago, your experience is based on how many flying hours? - Don't see this as a game, it's a simulator not Battlefield 4 (as mentioned: life ins't fair nor balanced) - Do you know that flying in a formation, communicating with each other and employing tactics can simply counter this issue? - You are aware that the F-15C in DCS is not the same build than the actual USAF version? (btw same for the Su-27 which had a lot of upgrades) - You know that you own an aircraft with a "light" simulation level where the focus goes on tactics and flying skills? (For real simulations, look for the A-10C, Mig-21, F-86, or the Belsimtek helos) Spend some time on online servers, consume a lot of BVR/WVR documents and most of all, get some folks flying with you. I can promise you, trying the lone wolf scenario will make you regret your purchase.
