  1. What graphics card? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Actually as I get older the less time I have for long missions. As a kid or young adult I had the time to spend hours on the computer. Now as a 40 year old 1 hour is a lot to take out of my day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. In the controls menu, select the axis to modify, select the button to edit or modify axis and it will come up with a graph of the axis. You can then add a curve to that graph (I like 15 to 25 for main x and y axis and 40 for rudders) that makes the axis a little less sensitive around the center of that axis but still allows full movement of the axis. If you reduce saturation on that same graph it limits the amount of input the axis sees so you don’t over control. I don’t find saturation that helpful but the curves are almost necessary unless you have a full size Huey control stick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. How many people are going to sit at a simulator for more than an hour or two on a mission to fly from point A to point B? Even those who say they will, may do it once or twice. Do we really need to devote the resources this would take for something a dozen people might do once or twice? And same with the helos. It’s already hard to justify the time spent to go on some of these missions in a helo from just the FARP to the front lines. If you want to play big aircraft or reconnaissance then fine, but you don’t need to take off in Hawaii and then put on autopilot for 12 hours to do that. You simply air start on the edge of the map and return to the edge of the map to leave. That will give you still more time flying a single mission than most people actually want. Especially at subsonic speeds. Even in the “whole world sims” very few people use more than a small section of it and those who do often don’t sit at their computer the entire time, or they cheat with time acceleration to get over the boring parts. 5. I thought so, but apparently I was wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Really? I thought I had used it before for target practice. I could be wrong as I haven’t played for awhile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. What is the difference between their AI and the currently implemented AI? Model textures and liveries? I’m not seeing why it’s such a desire to have? Maybe for movies and such but not for gameplay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I wouldn’t get too excited yet. I don’t think this is on the horizon even for years. They just figured out the new map technology to have multiple maps and it’s taken years to do that. It’s a very complex simulation and simply doing the FSX or xplane thing wouldn’t work without scaling back the parts we all love. Also it’s not very necessary. I for one feel no need to simulate an Atlantic crossing in an F18 and if I did I would do it in a different simulator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Greased nipples are fine! ;). Now a working radio on the other hand... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Actually by having my joystick on the right I can use my left on the keyboard for most common buttons. For example on the F5 I have Z to B mapped to arming stations so I just pop my throttle hand down to the keyboard for a second. Like others have said, all major combat buttons are mapped to my Hotas anyways Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Trim the airplane And be quick! Autopilots help too even if it’s just an altitude hold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. 1. Try to run as administrator 2. Contact trackir support Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. It’s like the marines version of the A10 but a bit better preforming with a bit less avionics and much less bomb load Right now at least. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. If this livestream is an April fools joke then some people gonna be angreee! ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Helicopters are huge radar targets in real life. I assume DCS simulates the rotor radar return although like you I’ve mainly been on the receiving end of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. How did you find the wiring process? I don’t mind the sidestick in the desk but I hate the base buttons and have been thinking about moving some into the grip. Do you have any pictures of it in transition? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. No it’s not normal. Which version -steam or stand alone? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I use it all the time. My only complaint is a bit of wandering on the extremes (when head is turned more than 25 degrees or so). I’m thinking about building a LED clip to improve it and to allow me to drink while I fly (glass to the mouth makes it confused as to where your mouth is) For the $2 it cost me I can’t say enough good about it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. What was it? This is something that’s never worked for me and I just gave up when the auto connect feature came around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Exactly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. But previously you were stuck with whatever map loaded unless you wanted to wait for 60 seconds to load the new one. 2 clicks is much better than 60 extra seconds of waiting for the map to load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I’m pretty sure It was mentioned that the only bug is that disabling the SAS system doesn’t actual disable it- and it’s going to be fixed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Did you turn off the parking brake? That stops the throttles from going above idle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. So there may be 2 ways to do this. Bomb in zone triggers a big smoke to spawn there, or place an infantry there and when he dies that triggers the big smoke spawn. Neither way will actually change the model of the static object to damaged though- just add smoke to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Lame attempt at trolling? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
