A more step by step version: select the pylons you want to jettison, flip the jettison switch to selective jettison, press the jettison button, switch the jettison switch back to off. If you don't turn the jettison switch off you will find that your sidewinders no longer fire until you do. Very annoying in a high intensity dogfight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Radar antenna azimuth bugged? They upgraded (more realistic) the radar several patches ago so the radar is vertically stabilized. I think it was before too but it never showed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Smoothing out my rudder axis
ricktoberfest replied to Raven_Morpheus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Have you adjusted the axis curve? I've got my x52 at about 35 for the yaw curve. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I don't know about the right engine thing, but I do know aircraft engines at that time frame had the delay when setting afterburner. Whether it was 4 seconds or not I don't know, but I remember reading of a pilot in Vietnam who found himself sinking towards the ground after a bomb run (f105 I think) who crashed because he selected afterburner and lost some crucial thrust before it caught. I think afterburners work different now. I think it basically "choked" the engine for a few seconds with extra fuel until it lit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This has been talked about many times. Although it is possible to make a new module (F5A), it would have to be made pretty much from the ground up as it's an entirely different airplane the the F5E. I might be wrong but I don't see much business sense in doing that for Belsimtek. Not when the F5E fills that roll. There is a mod floating around that give the look of the F5A (added wing tanks), but that's about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did anyone else see the G-Anal favorites tab? Lol jk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Just jumping in here, but how about creating an escort bomber mission at 30000 ft? If the 109s don't want to come up and play then their base gets bombed Or make it 15-20k if you want more advantage one way or the other Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another question I use the kneeboard and marking my spot regularly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can you use the mission editor? Try a few head on engagements with various aircraft on the 2nd highest AI setting and see how it goes. Part of the fun is overcoming a challenge. If you win (even once in awhile) then you'll manage the campaign probably. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FaceTrackNoIR Setup for DCS
ricktoberfest replied to MRaza's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm pretty sure that you don't have to copy the files over anymore. It works fine for cheap, but I do notice other people's videos being more stable than what I see I'm looking at building an LED setup to try as it only costs a few dollars. Like you I'm trying to do it on the cheap! Even with its faults it's 1000% better than using. A joystick hat to try and look around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Stock fan, Liquid Cooling or Air Heatsink?
ricktoberfest replied to Gault05's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Stock fan, Liquid Cooling or Air Heatsink? I just switched to closed loop water (corsair h80i v2) and it seems to do the job my cooling tower did but with less noise and more room in the case. I had to switch as my tower air cooler didn't allow more RAM to be installed and the LEDs are kinda neat too Oh and I've run an overclock of 4.5 on my 3570k for the last 4 years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thanks for the info. It's good to see this is on their radar ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As fun as this would be for 3 seconds, I'd rather use my CPU usage for flight model and weapons employment. Not bug death simulator Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DCS 1.5.6.3690 Update 1 dor stable or openbeta version ?
ricktoberfest replied to Skulleader's topic in DCS 2.9
Probably not. It just means the open beta and the stable are running the same version until the beta gets more updates -Tapatalk -
Now how bout doing it for Canada where we pay 30% more than our neighbors to the south of us! -Tapatalk

I'm most interested if jettison drop tank in F5E still crashes mp -Tapatalk -
Not sure what updater you were using as you shouldn't need to download that unless you're trying to download Nevada or the whole game again. Register on the DCS website and use that info in game -not sure about steam install No way to skip instructions unfortunately -Tapatalk

Reflection on flex and fixed sights in 2.0
ricktoberfest replied to Sandman1330's topic in Bugs and Problems
Also had this issue but I thought it was lumped in with the other issues. Good info about changing the time of day because in my test mission it was always noon, but itnstill reflected even when it should have been in shadow -Tapatalk -
Just got home and checked. So for example on a 2 stage trigger: First stage is unprogrammed in saitek but programmed in DCS. Second stage is programmed in saitek profiler. Shift and modes are programmed in saitek profiler (although I only use mode 1) Looking at your screenshot you are using different drivers than me and/or the x52 pro. I'm using an original x52 from 10 years ago -Tapatalk
