  1. OMG...it's surreal...they're still flying the MiG-21F13 but wear Grigorovich I-2 flightsuits...
  2. I need one for my mother in law!
  3. Thanks Friends! I appreciate it!
  4. Hey Dali, I'm a frequent guest at Brnik, perhaps we could arrange some panoramic flights over Krvavec?!
  5. True, it's not limited to huge RCS targets but it's a SARH missile which means it's limited to a radar sensitivity of a launching platform throughout its flight. It's limited to low maneuvering targets which all of the missiles you mentioned are. Now if there's B-52 flying 300kts @ 36,000ft Zaslon can track it at greater distance but if it's a M3,0 flying AGM-69 SRAM which is much smaller than a platform it was launched from there's really no point in engaging it with R-33 from 10nm... :smilewink:
  6. AKAIK there's "Theater Switcher" already implemented with DSC:W however not in use as the only map available is the Kuban/Caucasus/Georgia. With "Theater Switcher" one can select which parts of the Black Sea map are active or select completely different maps (i.e. Nevada when ready).
  7. Crimea map in DCS http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/did-a-decade-old-flight-simulator-predict-the-invasion-1535619213 Well I kinda miss this part of the world in DCS World to such extent that in paralel I still fly FC1.12a. Wold you like to have Crimea back in DCS-W?
  8. OK, Thanks for clarifying, although they look very similar.
  9. US fighter jets in Poland and Lithuania US deploys fighter jets to Poland, Lithuania (AFP) Warsaw — The United States is sending a dozen F-16 fighter jets to Poland as a part of a training exercise, amid continuing tensions between Ukraine and Russia, the Polish defence ministry said on Sunday. Three hundred US service personnel will also be sent to Poland as part of the exercise. The deployment will be completed by Thursday. Chuck Hagel, the US Secretary of State for Defence, and his Polish counterpart Tomasz Siemoniak agreed the deployment during a phone call, according to a statement from the Polish ministry. "The unit will be composed of 12 F-16 planes and will transport 300 soldiers," defence ministry spokesman Jacek Sonta told AFP. The fighters had been sent following a request from Poland. The exercise was originally planned to be smaller but was increased and pushed forward because of the "tense political situation" in Ukraine, added Sonta. The deployment in Poland comes after Washington announced it was also sending four F-15 planes to Lithuania to strengthen surveillance in the airspace around the Baltic. According to Lithuania's defence ministry, the deployment was in response to "Russian aggression in Ukraine and increased military activity in Kaliningrad," the Russian exclave which borders Poland and Lithuania. While, Poland has 48 of its own F-16 fighter jets, the Baltic states do not have sufficient air resources and look to NATO to provide protection for its airspace.
  10. The idea of R-33 is to attack large (B-1B, B-52), fast (SR-71) and distant targets (B-52) that cannot Split S and drag it. It's also an AWACS/Tanker killer if you eliminate it's escorts first, it's very ineffective vs maneuvering target such as fighter jet of small RCS.
  11. Looks like Photoshop to me...
  12. Did they reveal cause of that F/A-18D "Gladiators" crash from last year? Or was it 2012? You remember the one that hit the apartment blocks?!
  13. ^^^^ Cool "Tetris" camos! Thanks for sharing, hope all of these birds survive the recent events!
  14. I know many VFS flying F4-BMS MP use nav lights in different way. Flashing upon engine start and steady during taxi. This is of course wrong but when I tried to explain and add some RL proves I was ridiculed...
  15. Nice camo on that 27. I always liked UKR camos, sort of a digital in VGA resolution.
  16. Where do U buy Microflyers from and are they RTF? I ask because I inherited my father's Precedent Hi Boy (he built it back in 1981 and flew it actively up to 1991). Pictured here: As you can see it has circular airfoil wing so requires a lot of speed so it's Max O.S. 6cc engine revs up to 10.000RPM: I moved outta my parents house back in 1999 and I took it along, I hated seeing it sitting in garage. So I changed by then fishy servos and dead batteries and started flying it in 2000. Crashed it once in 2005 thanks to signal interference from a nearby telecom tower. However no big deal as I managed to hard land it without major damages, IIRC rear wheel struts fell off and tail rudder was pried off, something I repaired by next weekend so it flies again. In the mean time I got another one, Taxi III pictured here: Has a more powerful but heavier Max O.S. 7,5cc engine so I had to reposition fuel tank, in fact I introduced a larger one that shifts the CoG back where I want it which is inch and a half in front of it's main wheels. However this engine, as time told is a pain in the ass, it's not quality built like older (I mean '70s) Max O.S. engines. Some say she's similar to Hi boy but in fact she's quite different as it's a Clark Y airfoil and few inches wider wings so she's much more maneuverable at lower speeds and doesn't stall when flying slow, I mean really slow and low with lowered flaps, just check that AoA: Next time I'll post a Cobra video...
  17. ^^^^ Well the RuAF models are by that logic also paper models as wahta we're lookin at for tha last 3 years are testbeds. On the other hand I don't think there's RuAF / Indian AF version difference...
