I strongly considered going from to x52 pro to the x55 but after reading your post I am glad I got the warthog. You wanted an upgrade but the x55 let you down in that regard. Hope you still have it under warranty and get a refund under customer dissatisfaction grounds.

Sometimes its good too take off the hardcore sim hat and enjoy the flight and combat with less technical cockpit managment.

Its heavy and to perform at its best you need it bolted in to a base plate.

I bought BS then the upgrade and after running out of licences for BS I bought BS 2 in the sale.

I agree this would be a wonderful feature.

I love the vast ammo of buttons on it.

Consider a wheel stand pro v2 while your at it. Got mine and its great for couch simmimg.

Yes the performance improvement mentioned is very promising news.

I hope all those buildings are neseccary, it would be a tad disappointing if they led to poor frame rate. I would rather lower model count and higher frames. Total speculation and it would be rather overkill if the buildings caused a signifigant frame rate drop but regardless less is more.

I have ordered my wheel stand pro as part of furthering my commitment to playing in a comfy sofa chair with my warthog angled in front of me. (Burp!)

Warthog gets shelved until December but thanks for the honest update and info. Will be worth it so get it right and take your time.

Thats a tad unrealistic for long missions. Even in the create fast missions it breaks immersion to know that when your wingman lands he retires.

I asked for this ages ago. I love the idea.

When your wingman lands can he re arm and return to your position?

They take getting used to from using the stick but the toe brakes and rudder functionality particulary for the choppers make them a worthwile investment.

I have 40 - 69 with vsnych on at 4k sli 970 and with v synch off i get 122. So switch off vsnych and watch the frames fly. High tex high buildilng detail low view msaa x 2 no hdr no trees or bush. No tsaa and or cockpit shadows. .

Its impossie to play without trackir once you get used to it!

As stunning as Edge looks the frame rate during combat really needs to improve.
