I don't think DCS will ever be able to compete with the usual flight sims for the simple reason that they offer what DCS can't and will never be able to, the whole world (even with lower details). That takes out all scenery developers from the equation (DCS needs maps, sceneries are secondary at this point) and the development of airlines (considering how important the whole FMC programming is, SID/Stars and so on). But turboprop transport planes, helicopters and other similar aircrafts can be enjoyed both here and on other sims.

The wind indicator near the runway now seems to work. Also the C-101 now doesn't crash the client anymore when picked in multiplayer :)

Do you honestly believe he didn't have a build before? He also made a Q/A video using it :P He doesn't need such plans to test it. Anyway, what Wags said is also about some bugs being found AND Razbam still having to deliver a quick start manual

I agree with the fact that VEAO announced too many planes, and it's unrealistic to see them all coming anytime soon, year wise. However i guess it also depends how many guys are working on the project, i assume that VEAO has more people either way, and ED have the most competent people around regarding DCS world (after all, that is their job. most of VEAO guys do it in their free time, not sure about Aviodev). In the end yeah, i think some patience is required.

Oh well, i was going to buy it to have some fun before going away for xmas. Sadly a Wednesday release is not good enough for my plans, i guess i will make it mine later on then :P

Besides guys, it's not like the Hawk is doing much better regarding EFM and completition, is it? Sure, they released some videos with the EFM. I assume the same could be done for the C-101 if they wanted to. Instead for the C-101 it's possibile to use (to a certain extent) the shared cockpit feature, or at least switch seats, something that is not possible for the Hawk nor it will be in the future. As long as the Beta is playable and enjoyable, i am not in such a hurry to get the C-101CC ready to fly right away. Also it's a Beta, and the moment you read that you know time is never set.

A long time ago. In fact i used the open beta version as my "release" version. Once 1.5 was released that's what i used.

Would be nice. But i don't think it's something anytime soon, they need to keep the focus on the two choppers for now. And i need to keep my hype down as well :P

For now you should keep the 1.5 and the 2.0 versions, so you can play on both maps. Version 1.2 surely isn't worth to be kept in a long time. But yes, the old map will be ported in DCS world 2, but we don't know when.

Are you able to launch R-33s with it?

We need proper lights, especially at night. Especially anti collision lights should flash more, they are a little too weak?

Flying with another person in the same plane around Nevada is still fun :)

I just tried on Nevada map as well, yes, you can still activate them but they still kill your fps

Yeah.. always downloaded previous patches at full speed. Now it's taking hours to download something i could usually get in 10 minutes. Hope they'll fix whatever is happening.

Well, if you want something that is small and nimble i think the Gazelle fits more that. But i am also curious if someone can tell me something more about the Bo-105 too. I only know Red Bull had one :P
