Loading a mission on SP first fixed the issue for me it seems.

I seem to be experiencing the same. Would loading something in SP work regarding regenerating shaders and so on?

Sadly it's something we have seen since some time in multiplayer :( I agree they need to focus on it now.

Contrast is a bit too high for me, which is usually why i avoid such programs. I know it can be tuned too but honestly, i am fine with what the stock game offers and don't want to play too much on those things :)

The new promotional DCS video was taken with gamma at 1.6. Personally i enjoy 1.8.

Have you tried checking all the combinations with cockpit global illumination on/off?

I think all the reasons are here for the Kiowa to join the DCS fleet. I use XP11 and AFS2, but i would never, ever, buy a military platform on it for the simple reason it woudn't be as enjoyable. So i hope you will stick to DCS considering you said you are a small team, and covering different sims would most likely end up delaying both projects.

I think you are under the wrong assumption that releasing x means delaying y. There is no proof of that. Besides, as they said, it is part of a professional effort they had already started.

I appreciate what Silver_Dragon does for us. And i think it's not about it being russian, it's about Chizh giving a generic and not clear idea of it. either way i appreciate some kind of information, even rumors, to the lack of it.

Well, sure, it's better to get things when they are actually working. But you know, it's not like it must be either released bugged versions or delayed working versions. Sometimes people are actually able to stick to their schedules without delaying it by months. That being said, it can all happen and nothing will change for me without 2.5. However i would have liked for them to update Caucasus before Nevada and the Normandy map, because Caucasus is the map everybody has and will get, especially those new players who might approach the sim for the first time and might enjoy even more the reworked map.
