with the Saitek X52 Pro: I can set the trigger: (using Saitek profiling software) 1st stage (trigger pull less then 50%): 'T0' ======== 2st stage (trigger pull more than 50%): 'TV' ==== This is where Saitek profiling software comes into play: Saitek sets the HOTAS into 3 modes: 1,2,3 In mode 2, Trigger pull is set to: 'T1' return to bore mode The modes are enabled by Turning knob on Stick to one of three modes. ========= In the profiling software, you enter the key strokes for each position. ** note, you can elect to have hat switches or buttons to witch on and off keys. Instead of using trigger. ** With the Viggen I use the Pickle button for weapon release. ======= Last note: The changing on the modes T0, T1, and TV seem to not work smoothly as they should, but my Saitek is 10 years old, so I cannot say whether or not it is smooth and flawless. :joystick: ======

I think it's fixed.... something got changed in my controls... but, the scope is very hard to see objects...… contrast or?????

cannot slew and lock the targets with the mavericks. Tired with both the keyboard commands and joystick. No response from the scope. Unable to lock target through scope. Only seem to go bad after the last couple of patches, but cannot pinpoint the exact patch. I might try to do a repair on the modules. I spent a few hours trying to find the problem. I have both the release and Open Beta versions of DCS. I haven't used the Mavericks in a long time, but have used other weapons.

The Viggen has problems with the RB-75 Mavericks, after this last patch. I have problems with the crosshairs not opening and closing and locking on a target. What's more weird is that I have problems with both the release version and beta version. More so with the Beta though. I only started having problems with this weapon after the very last patch, but really haven't used this weapon in many, many months, so maybe it is unrelated.

I have issues too.... not always, but enough to not trust it...

Viggen parked in Hanger (shelter, Tab-V) facing in... not sure if this was reported as a bug... been this way a very long time... reverse plane so it faces out... thanx :helpsmilie:

I noticed this on my 46" lcd hdtv with hdmi and a GTX1060 video card. I told others in my squad I was having problems with the font in my ddi. To me it looks bad, hard to read. I see others too find it hard to read.

when I said take another aircraft, I meant another F/A-18C, and flew normal... will make a trak if it happens again, sometimes I just don't remember and expect others to see what I see...

I have the same problems with my Saitek and keyboard, the right throttle will not move when starting using keyboard... if I do auto cheat start, it has no problems. left works.

Several times I have been flying and the F/A-18C had no speed, even when applying lots of throttle, it would not go over say 300 MPH, IAS, etc... just no reason for it to happen. Then I would take another aircraft and had no problems. Way too inconsistent to find a pattern. Has anyone else had they happen? I told some others and they said they didn't have it happen. I have maybe 75% of DCS, have been flying sims for 25 years. This only happens in this aircraft. I also fly several other flight sims. Does not matter where I take off, what loadouts, etc.... :joystick:

How much longer for The Official InterActive Carrier Landing Training Video ? You know, where you select training video mode, get in and have video guiding, press space bar to continue. For landing on carrier. Thanx :thumbup:

I see I am note alone with Radio problems. I spent too much time with radio issues...

for some of us who are slower and age has been a PIA.... sometimes they go by a control and I have to replay it a few times to see what they pointed at or poked and even then often I can't see it.... out of view or too fast.... and can't say they were or were not DCS or a 3RD party, but it happens often. I am really looking forward to interactive training videos with the F/A-18C !!! The ones that have not yet been included will be really extremely helpful ! IMHO :joystick:

I have the x52 pro profile I made in user downloads on this website.. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/ had no problem making the slew work with the ministick on throttle

Wish: Interactive training F/A-18C landing on carrier videos. Like that come with most/all aircraft, official training interactive. Like 'press spacebar to continue'... I appreciate all videos that help, some are done extremely well, but the official ones will be very nice. Also, offensive, defensive, radar, navigation, all of them.... Will really be great! :music_whistling:

mine freezes, and always had at least 2 eternal fuel tanks, and before then 3 ext fuel, and the freezes just keep coming at least 1 per hour... sometimes even task manager doe snot help, have to do a total reboot to get out... never had this problem until this last patch...

My eyes are not very good any more, and one eye is better than the other eye.. but was wondering are others having problems reading the characters on the MFD's on the F/A-18c ? better if I zoom in but not very practical... I have a decent video card and computer, and lcd tv … 1080p.... any other find a solution? I suppose one can buy usb mfd's, but money ! $$$

we had a lot of the Brits fly them to Germany in the early 1980, before the Falklands.... also lots of F-111's were TDY from there too....

Some sounds in helos seem wrong to me. I am no expert. I am not a pilot. But, while in the USAF, I had the honor of flying a lot al over in different aircraft. Take the helos, the sound seems wrong in sims. The Huey maybe a good example because of the 2 long blades and turbines create a very distinctive sound. Actually several very distinctive sounds. Inside and out the helo. Everyone is familiar with the very heavy eggbeater sound of the long blades whipping the air into submission. Insides, it is not so much and the beating, but the turbines are excruciatingly loud! Outsides the doppler sound effects of the blades whipping as it passes by. In the sim, the blades whipping seem to be more pronounced then they Should be , instead of those turbines. In a small passenger jet, more commonly, Lear Jet, the turbines purr through the sound deadening materials so that the important VIP's can relax inside the carpet, sofas, chairs, etc. In a multi-blade helo, the whipping is different because of more blades, with a different whipping, or multi-blades whipping, but that get very difficult to explain. The blades can actually reach the pint of the doppler plus the point of the sound barrier. But, that' way beyond me. It is mostly that the sound seem reversed, inside outside. Plus, I don't have a killer sound system, I really don't want one, it's to much for my old beat up ears and body. IMHO For those most part the software guys and engineers to a great job, but these sound issues could probably be fixed easier, because they can be adjusted and moved around by the powers that be. it appears all FC-3 aircraft have this problem with the constant beeping. Tried more, SU-27, A10-A,..etc... beeping tone.... no way to shut it off once the aircraft gets power turned on in the cockpit. I tried getitnga recording, and the sound isn't there when I turn the microphone on... wt...h ??? dcs.log.txt

I just tried re-shade utility, and with FC3 F-15C there is a continuous beeping sound that cannot be turned off, or source located. before this no problems. I have not tried all with this re-shade yet. But so far just the F-15C.

sorry don't have F-5, so no profile for that... maybe use another similar and tweak it... :joystick:

I checked again, this time it started both engines fine.... don't know why the first time after the last 2.5.1 patch it had 2 bad auto starts...….
