  1. Thanks for that curve, Rudel - I tried doing the same but nearly strangled the cat in frustration.
  2. Try this - go into your \Saved Games\Config folder - make a copy/backup of your 'Views' folder and then delete the original. When you restart DCS it should rebuild the folder and files to their original states. Now hop into the 29 and see if the 'stripe' is gone. If it's gone then you know, approximately, where the problem lies - then it's just a case of narrowing down further.
  3. Mig-15 will be part of MAC (which by the sounds of it ED are trying to release before the end of the year) so maybe that's when the fix will be rolled out.
  4. Grab a Saitek Quadrant in addition to a throttle - a cheap solution for 3 extra levers.
  5. You know it makes sense.
  6. I've un-mapped the roll axis from my trim hat for the time being. I rarely/never use the autopilot so I don't have to worry about it ruining my mojo when I resume flying, and so far the only time I've used the roll trim is because I accidentally banged it while dialing in some pitch.

  8. You don't need a separate install for the open beta (although that is one option) - you can use this utility... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 ...to flip back and forward between stable and beta. I usually stick with the official stable release but made an exception for the Mig.
  9. Yes, it's in the shop.
  10. Good luck....it gets much, much better, trust me :)
  11. In the other thread Svende says.... https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3654671&postcount=20 So maybe they're pulling through the limiter, which presumably requires a bit of force, in order to get full elevator deflection/drag?
  12. It's basically the 'Let me do a Kobra' switch.
  13. Ah, so 'Y' just disables the 'kicker' thingy.
  14. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3654358&postcount=112 :music_whistling: :) But does the real thing behave like this? Should the LEFs deploy fully & suddenly as we have them now or should they deploy gradually?
  15. Something-ALT :) Yes, but if you do the plane will start complaining at you.
  16. Same here - I think it's supposed to be a temporary override (which suggests the real-life control might be found on the HOTAS), and if we want to shut it off completely it's RALT-9 for 3 seconds.
  17. Open the controls indicator (RCTRL-ENTER) and watch what happens when you pull the stick right back - you'll see the plane pushing back against the stick. Disabling the deflection limiter turns this off.
  18. I think the reason for the weird pitch behaviour is the front wing slats. To test - put yourself in a steady turn at, say, 750kph look behind you and watch your wings. Now start very gradually increasing back-pressure on the stick - sloooowly tightening the turn (and increasing your AoA). At some point the slats will deploy and *bang* the nose pitches up violently.
  19. If you raise the flaps while taxiing you can turn much tighter.
  20. You're missing the point. The tires on this aircraft (designed to operate from rough airstrips) are exploding on smooth tarmac at 180mph.
  21. This one explodes at 285kph. It seems to happen as the plane begins rotating. Is anyone old enough to remember the A-10C beta bug where the plane would stick to the runway then bounce off into the air with a burst nose-wheel? Kinda feels like that.
  22. The tire explodes at 300kph.
  23. Same here - I tried briefly to 'fix' it by tinkering with the user curves widget but it ended up looking like an ECG and I gave up. I think it's intentional/realistic but I don't think it translates well onto PC controllers.
  24. Hold L-ALT+9 (iirc) for 3 seconds. All the lights will go out and the warning will kick in. It's no fun, trust me.
