  1. Good point!
  2. Just tried the same mission and Mavs un-caged fine. Had a hell of a time getting the Sidearms to launch (and when they did they missed) but the IRMVs worked OK.
  3. Try fuzing set to IN
  4. I've read somewhere that for the time being the dedicated server is being tested on servers with little or no scripting to help diagnose problems.
  5. You can still push the buttons 'through' the center console if you aim the mouse correctly. Alternatively you can shift your head to the left & right with RCTRL+RSHFT+KP4 or KP6 But, yes, but you're better off with head tracking of some kind.
  6. So you don't have to start from scratch (A-10A...USA...Airborne...etc) every time you run DCS.
  7. I don't know if this applies to VR but there's an option in the 'System' tab - Res. of Cockpit Displays that despite the name also governs mirror fidelity. I haven't been able to discern any appreciable difference in performance between the various levels available but it might be worth a look. edit: after you change the values you need to restart DCS before they'll have any effect iirc
  8. Optional of course - but there's so many times when you're just having fun tooling about in a quick mission and find yourself miles away from your spawn airfield and you have to re-load the mission because you're out of fuel.
  9. Have a look in your C:\Users\*wilbur81*\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View folder and open the View.lua (edit at your own risk, use Notepad++, always read the label.....etc) Try experimenting with these values.... CockpitMouse = true --false CockpitMouseSpeedSlow = 1.0 CockpitMouseSpeedNormal = 10.0 CockpitMouseSpeedFast = 20.0 CockpitKeyboardAccelerationSlow = 5.0 CockpitKeyboardAccelerationNormal = 30.0 CockpitKeyboardAccelerationFast = 80.0 CockpitKeyboardZoomAcceleration = 300.0 DisableSnapViewsSaving = false UseDefaultSnapViews = false CockpitPanStepHor = 45.0 CockpitPanStepVert = 30.0 CockpitNyMove = true CockpitHAngleAccelerateTimeMax = 0.15 CockpitVAngleAccelerateTimeMax = 0.15 CockpitZoomAccelerateTimeMax = 0.2

    TAXI!

Just tried it and my Harrier (full fuel - no weapons) doesn't move at idle - 285rpm for me. I have to throttle up to 370rpm before she starts biting.
  11. I just tested and both the F-15 and A-10A steer fine?
  12. The Harrier is great fun but like the A-10C and the Hornet unless you have a HOTAS then some of the operations will seem obscure. For instance in an FC3 aircraft you might have the command 'Lock' - but in one of the higher fidelity aircraft the 'Lock' command will be replaced with something like 'TMS-Forward Long' or whatever. There's a syntax and rhythm to operating the Harrier's sensors and armament that will likely be initially daunting if you're used to FC3-level aircraft and it will require practice. But even if there's a lot to learn you can still take it in small chunks - you can just create a quick mission carrying dumb bombs and 20 minutes later you'll have most of it memorized. Then you move on to the next weapon....etc Just be aware the Harrier and Hornet are work-in-progress - there will be bugs and some of the things that appear clickable don't currently have any function. If that bothers you then I'd push you towards the A-10C which is a mature product.
  13. I always do the same - get close to the target area then cruise up & down scanning from the side. You can see where the TPOD is looking on the EHSD - there's a small diamond (iirc). Until the slave function is implemented/fixed you can use it to slew the pod over waypoints or wherever.
  14. If you hop onto Youtube and search for 570 vs 1060 you'll find loads of videos comparing GFX card performance. e.g.
  15. The OP is talking about changelogs not changes. Nobody's demanding weekly fixes - but if you do release fixes or changes into the wild then maybe tell us what was fixed or changed?
  16. If it's the same video I watched (Redkite's?) then disregard that piece of info - it was a bug, the localizer behaves properly now - thank god.
  17. Ooh you're getting novichok'd
  18. Not yet functional.

    Flying the F51

Hit escape; from menu hit 'Briefing'; hit 'Fly' It doesn't reset the mission but it puts you back in a fresh aircraft.
  20. That's the AoA indicator (if you mean the caret) e: sorry, misunderstood you
  21. e.g. Wouldn't it be great? For all the sophistication of the VTOL HUD display I'm surprised there's nothing to tell you you've started going backwards. Doesn't the real thing have this?
  22. The Harrier has this, too.
  23. Are you using AUTO? because it's bugged. Try with CCIP.
  24. The 130 TACAN does work - however - the other night I set up a simple refueling mission and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to work. So I deleted the mission, built another one and it works fine. So either it's a bit glitchy or we're doing something wrong. Here it is if you want to muck about with it.... AV-8B Refuelling test.miz
  25. I'm using r via my throttle profile - don't remember if r is the default key.
