  1. Not more, but absolutely would love to see them.
  2. Ah, OK - thanks for the info.
  3. I can't get the VSN 104 working either. It used to work fine, a couple of patches ago. I have the OH-6A and UH-60 mods running OK, but the F-104 won't even show in the Mission Editor.
  4. I trust you! I've snuck in an M.
  5. Would be a perfect adversary for the F-4. The Mig-17 and F-100 are on the way so a period-specific Mig-21 makes perfect sense for the emerging Vietnam plane-set.
  6. No biggie, but after changing, say, V-sync or any other asterisk'd option the game asks if you want to restart but it just shuts down; you have to launch DCS again manually.
  7. No. Dynamic reflections are still in their infancy and so the big red ACHTUNG sticker will probably look weird for a while (unless it's removed from the seat, or a virtual pilot is modelled to cover it) But they are on the right track; and they are more realistic than having none at all.
  8. +100 Are Deka open to the idea?
  9. Especially now we are flying in and out of rain regularly.
  10. Look at the real thing. Reflections & distortion everywhere. I'll never understand why people want to fly around as if they're in an open-cockpit.
  11. It was driving me mad why the pitch trimmer was so flaky but it turns out roughly 50% of trim inputs are being ignored by the aircraft. Compare the number of inputs (how often the hat switch moves) to how many times the joystick/plane actually responds. And when it does respond it's in very coarse/large increments. It all makes trimming a nightmare.
  12. Careful, Fen - he's got a knife.
  13. Only if the pilot was wearing one of these... In your quest for realism you've sacrificed two vital ingredients on the altar of correct scaling. 1: Peripheral vision 2: Moveable eyeballs Peripheral vision allows us to be aware of things in a cone of appx. 100° around the centre. Our eyeballs can then swivel to focus on whatever takes our attention - all without moving our head an inch. But with your scheme we are trapped looking down a rectangular tunnel. If we want to glance at our instruments we need to move our head. If we want to glance to the left we have to move our head. Only owls think this is normal. So, while adjusting the games FOV to produce the correct scaling initially looks kinda cool, it bears no resemblance to how people actually see things in real life.

  15. Is this official?
  16. Air start, engage MW-50 - engine blows after 1 min 45 secs. Fw-190D-9 engine blown.trk
  17. A little experiment with our own FC Mig-29A. 100% fuel used. 2:00 Invert aircraft 3:10 AEKRAN reports 600L fuel remaining 3:53 550L warning 12:46 Engines cut out 13:09 Level aircraft - engines restart automatically 13:43 550L warning extinguishes 13:46 AEKRAN 600L warning extinguishes It took 1min 53secs for our 550L warning to appear after inverting compared to the RL aircraft which appeared immediately. Also at no point did our master caution sound, not even when the engines conked out.
  18. Well spotted!
  19. Occurs when he flies inverted - is it something to do with fuel starvation?
  20. Flappy HDD shroud.
  21. Windows Defender. Both the main Eagle Dynamics folder and the User/Saves folder have been excluded already, but I'll specify the .exe too, thanks.
  22. Bump for this. Baked-on reflections are terrible, we can all agree - but currently it's like having no canopy at all.
