    As far as I can see in the not-to-be-mentioned document, while the operation of the AR switch does exactly what described before, there are no references that I can find to any time-lapse before refueling. I'm not saying it's not true, just that I can find it, that's why I'm asking for the precise paragraph. Just to be clear, I'm partial to Greek aircraft (if you catch my drift...)

    I was looking for that in the not-to-be-mentioned, could you tell me in what section you found it? P.S. Is anyone else having the feeling that, between sims-who-cannot-be-named and manuals-not-to-be-mentioned, this place is becoming very much like Hogwarts? :D

    No, it's not. Yesterday night I spawned behind the racetrack tanker and got the "refuel complete" bug; I pressed Esc, choose "select a slot" and respawned behind the orbit tanker and refueled without any problem. I didn't do anything differently between the two attempts; it looks like there has to be another explanation than air start. The first time I tried the mission, last weekend, everything went fine, no bug in two refuelings.

Yeah, it's a really nice airplane: after all the computer and electronics of modern modules, it gives a special kind of satisfaction to blow something up just aiming by eye! :D Don't know if you're a multiplayer or single player kind of guy, but, till we get more SP missions/campaign, might I suggest taking a look at Hoggit's Georgia at Cold War server? It's still in Beta, but it has the 339 and the Skyhawk, and it can be really fun.
  5. Confirmed, the student probably mashed too many buttons all at once, making the instructor very angry! :D One thing, though, on the engine start panel, the master switch is not highlighted when you have to turn it on.
  6. To have pairs you just have to select the two pylons to fire at the same time in single mode; what we don't really have is the ability to fire in single mode alternatively from the two pods (you could do that by selecting and deselecting the pods in turn.... basically unpratical!)
  7. I was never stuck, but instructions went one over the other and possibly out of order. Sorry for the rest of the guys, it's faster and easier if I go in Italian: subito dopo aver premuto il tasto "fly", la prima cosa che ho sentito è stata l'istruzione per avviare il motore (intendo l'audio dall'istruttore) e l'interruttore JPL era evidenziato dal quadrato giallo. Poi la missione ha ripreso come (immagino) da normale flusso, ma il JPL è rimasto evidenziato; mi pare, poi, ma vado a memoria, devo giocare di nuovo la missione, che anche per altri passi l'evidenziamento dei comandi sia rimasto illuminato anche quando avrebbe dovuto spegnersi. Scusa se non sono preciso, ma come detto ho fatto una prova veloce in pausa pranzo e non sono ancora a casa, appena posso riprovo!
  8. Ciao Beppe, I quickly played training mission 1 in lunch break, and I found that some of the triggers seems not work properly, could you guys take a look at it? I'll play it again this evening and see if I can provide you a track (hopefully ED fixed them this time...) Hey Max! Did you see Sydy's video in post #288? It has some parameters that, despite being different from the ones given in the training missions, might help you hit more consistenly. As for ammo, if you want to make another run, disobey the instructor and select "single" instead of "ripple" as release option, in the rocket mission (Beppe, you guys might wanna add more rocket pods for this mission); as for guns, I'm afraid there are no alternatives.

  10. In the F-14 you have to set the code on the ground, before take off. Once in flight, you can only change your TGP laser code, not the bombs' one.

I still have to fully read the manual; I played the One that cannot be named, but a while ago and only for a little while (no TrackIR and not enough hats, at the time!) I take it all back! It's actually great to dive bomb with unguided munitions and strafe, now I can see the target from far away and I don't need to zoom in (playing in VR still has disadvantages... and VR zoom is way better now!)

  14. Do you mean you just have to add any kind of waypoint, or that one has to put a waypoint on top of the target? And, I tried to drop a GBU in CCIP, just like I can do in the Hornet (without needing waypoints), it didn't work, TGP lost target and went it's own way, not even close to target area...

  16. Nothing wrong with the Strait of Hormuz or with hypothetical conflict (in fact, I love them), just saying that it'd be great to have Iraq/Kuwait, too! And yeah, it'd be great to have a big area with the three maps: Hormuz, Iraq, Syria.... Just imagine that! Oh, wait: Afghanistan is nearby, too! :)

  23. Thanks Backspace. So, it seems it's a mimicking of what's happening in real life. Does anyone have any idea why USAF is not using the 83s? It seems to me like the perfect jack-of-all-trades munition (at least in DCS). I'm quite fond of it.
  24. Just follow the Official updates subforum, there will be a new post in this thread when the patch is out. Remember, it's coming out in the Open Beta branch, not the Stable Release.
