  1. One think that's really bothering me, right now, flying in MP, with all human and AI comms going on, is the impossibility of asking Jester to lower the volume of V/UHF radio and RWR... I know, a minor issue, but sometimes that makes really hard to understand communications and building a good SA in general (beside being really annoying for the ears...)
  2. Yeah, I saw that, thank you! I was asking because, in the Hornet mini-update of March 26th, Wags said they were planning JDAM release for today's patch, but I haven't heard anything since then.
  3. Hey there! Maybe I missed something elsewhere, but I see Wags hasn't published any new update since last week. Given today should be an OB patch day, are we going to get the JDAMs as initially planned, something else, or nothing at all? Anyone knows anything?
  4. Done, thanks guys! I was afraid it was going to mess up my key bindings, but everything's fine!
  5. So, how do I install it, exactly? The instructions aren't that clear and, before messing with game files, I'd like to have some more directions on what exactly I have to do (I'd like to be able to bind axis to slew the pod). Thanks for your help!
  6. Agreed, I think the manual, while very informative on the airplane, leaves much to be desired in terms of actual procedures and training to fly the aircraft and fight with it.
  7. With TGPs, when it'll be available, I imagine we will be able to set the target like we do on the A-10C, but I'm assuming that should be considered TOO. For PB, I imagine you'll have to know the exact coordinates of the targets, I can't see any other option (it'll be easier when we have the cartdridge for mission data, I'm assuming). EDIT: I'm wondering, BTW, if for TOO we can use the "ball and chain" to designate a target of opportunity, since "ball and chain" IIRC, works only with auto delivery and we won't have that for JDAM in the initial release.
  8. Just had three consecutive CTDs, all in SP instant action missions with the F-14, not once the reporting tool started.
  9. +1 Plus, lights aren't particularly bright (playing in VR), and it might take a while to even see the MC going on.
  10. Thank you for sharing those gorgeous skins, guys!
  11. I would take into consideration even buying a graphic card with more memory. I have 16 GB of RAM and a 1070 with 8 GB, while the module does require a lot of RAM (I sit around 14/15), it does take more video memory than you have, I'm afraid, my PC shows around 7/7,8 GB of VRAM in use.
  12. Could you please elaborate on the above and share it with us? I have many tracks, mostly long tracks (1+ hour missions in the Hornet) that I'd like to rewatch without cursing because they break. Thanks.
  13. Well, I always evaluate the position of my head comparing it to the rest of the surroundings, whether it means the pilot body, like in the F-18, or the backrest of the seat, like in the F-14. In both cases, I see that my head (or my buttocks, in the 'Cat's case) is too far ahead of where it was supposed to be. I believe (only my opinion, of course) that devs do it to offer a more clearer view of instruments in VR, where, notoriously, there's a readability problem. In my personal opinion, in the F-14 cockpit, positioning the head further back doesn't subtract much from the readabilty of the frontal panels and helps a lot with the instruments in the lateral consoles. Anyway, regardless of what we think should be the right head position, it would be nice to be able to permanently save a custom head position, so to accomodate everyone's need. Therefore, I ask: does the above outlined procedure work to that end?
  14. Yes there was. It's Buno 159437, one of the two that shot down the MiG-23s in 1989, as Gypsy 202. You can see it in the Pilot's Cockpit Walkaround video, on the right instrument panel (timestamp is 5:54 more or less). I'm not sure, though, if it has any consequence on the model that is simulated in DCS, or if it's just an Easter egg.
  15. Yes, we do.
  16. If you mean the yellow triangle with an inscribed circle and number, those are your RWR contacts displayed on the SA page. You can see that in Wags' video.
  17. And that is what afraid of. Thanks Shimonu. Considering time zones and my slow connection, I'd better be ready to play on the 14th... :(
  18. Hi there! What I mean with the thread title is: a) I have to first patch the game, then download the module; b) the module will be downloaded, for those who own it, together with the patch. I'm afraid I know the answer (slow connection here), but I'd like to have confirmation. Thanks!
  19. You're forgetting asking her to use her bathroom to take a shower at your first date...
  20. Yay, baby! Time to dust my (very) old Tomcat T-shirt.... :)
  21. There we go! Thanks Nealius!
  22. I'll be honest with you, I just ignore the warning! :prop: Anyway, if I remember correctly, recycling bleed air is done only because it got shut when you run the Fire & Bleed air test. I think your best bet is to turn off either the pitot or the engine inlet de-icing, but I'd have to check manual and NATOPS to be sure.
  23. Right now I'm at work, so I can't search for the threads I read it from or the NATOPS, but IIRC the cause is bleed air. In my case, I always turn on the de-icing as part of start-up checklist. Both the tanks and the de-icing system use bleed air to work: for tanks, bleed air is used for pressurising them, for de-icing is blown on the interested system (pitot or engine inlets). So, if you have both the de-icing systems working, you have less bleed air to pressurise your tanks, hence the caution warning. At least that's I how I rationalized it, after reading two totally unrelated threads. Opening the fuel receptacle depressurise the tanks, as well.
  24. Thank you Chris! Yeah, I hope that my connection will be ready for Friday... looks like I got Lucky! ;)
  25. Are you kidding me? Just think of all those dogfights against the Nazguls.... :D
