  1. SFM? Gross! Don't worry, it even says that it's PFM in the features list: - Professional Flight Model that accurately mimics the performance and flight characteristics of this legendary trainer And +1 for accelerometer relocation, although I doubt they'll change that now.
  2. ...that's on the wikipedia, but I also read they just stole it from a friend who came up with it... And they're bad and you should feel bad! :D
  3. Everything goes into the Liveries folder. So in Bazar/Liveries/A-10C, every folder there is one skin and includes both lua and textures.
  4. Excellent, thanks Matt! Well now, this is interesting! Looking forward to the Sunday stream then :)
  5. It would be really great if they could determine it somehow soon as they're already asking for money. If they want to release ZA as a separate full priced module, I might want to skip C altogether for example. :) "TBD" is something they could have said six months ago IMHO, so I'll wait a little bit before I purchase, there's still enough time until September. ZA brings four hardpoints + cannon, so it's more usable in combat while it's the same aircraft, more or less. I actually doubt there's anyone using C in combat roles or at least I can't remember right now...
  6. Su-25T is not clickable just like FC3 modules.
  7. You got it all mixed up a little bit. Sonic boom is an acoustic phenomenon and already present in the DCS. Condensation on the first photo is usually called vapor cone and it appears in transonic speeds, not supersonic. On the other two photos, it's a normal over-wing condensation, again, nothing to do with supersonic speeds. And it's already somewhat confirmed for DCS 2.0
  8. Congrats on officially becoming the 3rd party. Does it mean that you sorted out the legal stuff with manufacturer? And will you be getting your own forum section now or at least proper public FB page? :)
  9. No. + It looks great because it's the exact representation of the area - Might require a lot of work. You need to correct colors and imaging errors (cause I'm not really sure if they do that in the first place). You need to delete roads, houses and such, if you want to add your own. No, I don't like the idea of objects and whole cities projected onto a flat texture. And how would that even work? You need to get a licence from ED to get access to map tools and I doubt they'll agree to that. They want quality, not FSX freeware-level crap. - Takes TOO much space. NTTR is already 25GB or so... I've had sceneries in FSX which took four times that number, even more... - Unless you use very high resolution imagery (which might just not be available for the area) or fly FL350+ all the time, you'll never get nice and sharp textures. And if you do, forget about 25GB and start counting in hundreds. Quality > quantity. I'd wait 2 years for another proper map like NTTR rather than fly above flat blurry crap in 2 months eating all the space on my SSD. ;)
  10. That happens, maximize the window. Windows key + up arrow when the windows is active. Or via task manager (right click on process). Or if aero is enabled, hover over the taskbar icon and then right click.
  11. Ok, alternative: Go to ...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Textures and open Su-27.zip Extract Su-27_numbers_red.dds Put it into the folder with that skin. Use this description: livery = { {"su27_tex01", 0 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex01", 2 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex01", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex02", 0 ,"su27_tex02_bodyaft_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex02_compos", 2 ,"su27_tex02_bodyaft_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex02_compos", 0 ,"su27_tex02_bodyaft_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex03", 0 ,"su27_tex03_wing_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex03_compos", 2 ,"su27_tex03_wing_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex03_compos", 0 ,"su27_tex03_wing_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex03_compos", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex04", 0 ,"su27_tex04_wing_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex04", 2 ,"su27_tex04_wing_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex04", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex05", 0 ,"su27_tex05_under_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex05", 2 ,"su27_tex05_under_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex05", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex06", 0 ,"su27_tex06_tail_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex06", 2 ,"su27_tex06_tail_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex06", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex07", 0 ,"Su27_tex07",false}; {"su27_tail_numbers", 0 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tail_numbers_top", 0 ,"Su-27_numbers_red",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN31", 0 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN31", 2 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN31", 3 ,"Su-27_numbers_red",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN32", 0 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN32", 2 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN32", 3 ,"Su-27_numbers_red",false}; } countries = {"RUS"} In both cases it works just fine so I don't know if you're doing something else there... Are you actually saving the lua properly?
  12. This: livery = { {"su27_tex01", 0 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex01", 2 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex01", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex02", 0 ,"su27_tex02_bodyaft_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex02_compos", 2 ,"su27_tex02_bodyaft_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex02_compos", 0 ,"su27_tex02_bodyaft_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex03", 0 ,"su27_tex03_wing_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex03_compos", 2 ,"su27_tex03_wing_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex03_compos", 0 ,"su27_tex03_wing_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex03_compos", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex04", 0 ,"su27_tex04_wing_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex04", 2 ,"su27_tex04_wing_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex04", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex05", 0 ,"su27_tex05_under_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex05", 2 ,"su27_tex05_under_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex05", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex06", 0 ,"su27_tex06_tail_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex06", 2 ,"su27_tex06_tail_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex06", 3 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tex07", 0 ,"Su27_tex07",false}; {"su27_tail_numbers", 0 ,"empty.tga",true}; {"su27_tail_numbers_top", 0 ,"Su-27_numbers_red",true}; {"su27_tex01_BN31", 0 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN31", 2 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN31", 3 ,"Su-27_numbers_red",true}; {"su27_tex01_BN32", 0 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN32", 2 ,"su27_tex01_bodynose_TomW_spc.bmp",false}; {"su27_tex01_BN32", 3 ,"Su-27_numbers_red",true}; } countries = {"RUS"}
  13. Which paint is it? If it's on LOF, then you probably can't link it so give me name or something...
  14. Try FaceTrackNoIR instead (don't forget to download and install the hotfix too!),
  15. Neither does TIR from what I've heard. And it really comes down to used IR filter. Of course, when you stick a floppy disk in your ps3eye, it won't filter any IR coming from the sun, it's a high pass filter. When you use proper band pass filter for the wavelengths you're working with, it should get better. But it's still wiser to try not to let much direct sunlight in your camera FOV and you can also fiddle with exposure, gain and detection threshold. ;)
  16. Try using value of 62, that's what I'm on now and I can't complain. Some stuff is overlaping here and there but 90% of the time it's OK and only affects non essential stuff IMHO.
  17. None of these aircraft are available in DCS. As much as I love western Cold War era jets, I think it would be wiser to wait for them to release at least one bird and get it to a working state (i.e. fix the post-release bugs) and maybe only after that we should wonder about what's next. IMHO :)
  18. Lua should be editable with standard windows notepad but I highly recommend using Notepad++ instead
  19. I meant just for spell check... BUT on character panel in photoshop, there's a magic button that will transform your text to all caps, looks like TT ;)
  20. The easiest thing to do is just to put that sentence you're trying to type in google. It'll usually correct you if there's a typo and display a wiki article which has correct spelling. ;) Myśliwskiego :D Good job so far though.
  21. I agree... mostly. I have no problem controlling myself (and I come from the region where profanity is very much a cultural thing lol), but by definition (not an linguist though!), vulgar is anything from damn to f-word. Yet I see a great difference between such words. So, are there going to be bans for anything that's on the lowest end of that spectrum and in the real word frowned upon only in kindergarten? :)
  22. Might be redundant. What's advertising and what is not? "Hey guys, new game is out, anyone plays it?" is allowed or not? This is somewhat confusing: - Somebody makes thread for ArmA, locked because it doesn't belong here. - FSX, lock, doesn't belong here. - There is also Kerbal Space Program thread, which is fine, even though it does not belong here just like FSX. Or does it? What about Assetto Corsa or threads discussing many other games? - We do have pinned "(news only)" threads for many games though... if I post there, am I not advertising other products? Or maybe it's allowed in those threads but then... - If I make a new thread about a game, who decides if it'll get locked because it does not belong here? Or if it's OK and we can have a discussion? Or if it's OK but only for news? Or if I should get banned?
  23. Would it be possible to show us the new cloud system in the next stream? How it looks with different coverages etc...
  24. This one is more up close but different, dunno why. But it's fairly easy to draw anyway: More photos: http://www.przemkko.strefa.pl/m_walkaround/mig_21_zloty.html http://apachemodel.blogspot.cz/2012/11/mig-21-zoty-z-krakkowskeigo-muzeum.html http://archiwum.plastikowe.pl/galerie/mig-21mf
  25. Excellent, thanks! :)
