  3. Most probably some of the following points are already present in this forum or will be addressed in a future patch. Nevertheless, I wanted to summarize them here. Almost all cockpits 2.5.2 are much better compared with Release version 2.5 WITH deferred shading, some even better than it was the case then WITHOUT deferred shading. The rain droplets are fantastic, the clouds gorgeous, the new explosions and effects great, terrains amazing. Loading times and responsiveness of the program have improved. I acknowledge the huge efforts that have been made, both from ED and the devs. That being said, the sun is now a pathetic - not-nearly-as-bright-as-it-should-be little spot in the sky. It was immensely better in 2.5 WITHOUT deferred shading AND HDR on, as clearly seen here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202460 Maybe the intention / meaning of this is that it would be the sun as seen trough very dark sunglasses or visor. If it is so, please give the option with / without sunglasses. The struts of the cockpits did effectively “block” the sun in RV 2.5 WITHOUT deferred shading AND HDR on. This very nice and realistic effect has now regrettably completely disappeared. :( Next time you drive or fly somewhere without sunglasses with the sun in a low position in front of you pay attention what it happens and you’ll see my point. See also screenshots. Flashing position lights far too bright in several planes. On the contrary, several plane landing lights are far too dark, seen from the cockpit. (Not a gamma - related issue, I have tried different gamma settings). A-10 C formation / nose illumination in its highest setting is lighting up the cockpit as if you’d place powerful lamp inside of the cockpit itself, and oddly, the nose illumination itself is barely visible from outside. The fluorescent lights of the instruments of the BF-109 are too dark, not nearly as bright as those of the FW-190, which seems OK. Nice reflection / refraction effects of the glass covering the instruments have, also very unfortunately, gone lost. (F-86, BF-109, etc.). See screenshots.
  4. Funny but very sad at the same time.....
  5. Wondering the same here...
  6. Same here. Release version 2.5.2. No droplets on the A-10 C cockpit.
  7. What do you mean? STILL not fixed the cockpits after all this time?:(
  8.
  9. Let's hope indeed. We very seldom get comments from the developers. At least let's hope that they read this posts. From my side, I got fed up playing free of charge beta-tester, especially considering the great amount of money I have invested in Terrains and planes.
  10. You said it! Exactly my thoughts! That's why I stopped using DCS for the moment. Only the gods know why they released a "release" 2.5, and THEN a "beta" 2.5.2  Great / best sim, but VERY chaotic development roadmap....
  11. Yes, that is what i do since years for all planes. Once an update for dcs world comes, it overwrites the modifieds files, but creates a “backup” folder in which the modified files are, and not just the souund ones. Then you merge the files of the backup with the fresh ones, overwritting them. Easy- peasy.
  12. Well, I use this one: https://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Audio-Editor.aspx Wich can open, modify and save .ogg files.
  13. No problems here. Win 10 Version 1803 OSBuild 17134.48, Updated a few days ago.
  14. + 1
  15. For me the problem has never been performance, but the disastrous night / dusk cockpit lightning...
  16. I agree, and do see the potential of deferred shading. BUT... Not "maybe has been pushed to release a bit too early" Instead: MOST CERTAINLY the major engine update has been pushed to release FAR too early and in a rushed, erroneous and incomplete manner, killing the cockpits and a lot of other stuff, especially at night.
  17. I see this only now. Great idea! +++
  18. I COMPLETELY AGREE... You are NOT the only devoted player wondering why the move. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202460
  19. "as much as me and everyone else would have liked these issues to have been ironed out before the release of 2.5" HOLY WORDS!
  20. I completely agree. In my signature all the Stuff that I have bought...
  21. I tried to use it many times, you can assign axis to it, but now I use it only as a "button" pushing it to the inside.
  22. FULLY AGREE !
