  1. I have a vehicle seat with positional arm rests. There is a Microsoft Intellipoint trackball mouse mounted to the right armrest and a Cybersniper gamepad mounted to the left. There is also a Logitech T650 trackpad mounted forward of the throttle within reach of my fingers when at full throttle. It's mapped for 1, 2, and 3 finger tracking so I can execute any mouse or scroll wheel command needed.
  2. You can’t just throw something like that out there without a pic... let’s see it.
  3. Here it is. https://www.protubevr.com/en/accueil/127-protasvr-solo-pre-order.html In preorder with shipment in Nov/Dec. I have the basic stock and the controllers stay in the cups but are easy to pull out to access belt items and throw grenades and such.
  4. I just deleted an email the other day from the company that makes the VR rifle stocks. Something tube??? Anyhow they have the controller cups mounted to throttle and stick bases. I’ll go find the link
  5. Curious why you would want this. I can't think of a reason but it might be a really cool one that I want to try...
  6. When I first got my Odyssey I put it back in the box to ship back probably 10 times over a 2 week period; for many of the same reasons you have addressed. But it grew on me to the point that I can no longer play any game on a monitor. Maybe it triggers some sort of addiction switch or something. You're right about the religion thing. People seem to think the just because you disagree with them that you think they are wrong; and they take it as some kind of personal affront. This is one of the only forums I read and post on now because the membership has maintained a sense of civility. There is the occasional outlier though. Hopefully VR will reach a level of acceptability for you on the next go around because feeling that immersion is a great experience.
  7. I have an IPD of 72. I have the O+. I have to dial it in some from its maximum width setting. So it will definitely do 74.
  8. Just thinking of the basic stuff first. Did you use DDU to remove your GPU drivers and do a clean driver install? Did you delete the metashaders and fxo folders to let them rebuild?
  9. Your issues are not common. This definitely sounds like a driver issue. I would suggest you post your issues on the WMR Reddit page to reach a wider audience.
  10. Go through the wife’s makeup and skin care products. Do the math. Then go buy yourself a proper flight system.
  11. Are you using the scroll wheel and does the scroll wheel have a click (middle mouse button) function? If so try double clicking the middle mouse button to see if you regain control. You may be switching focus away from DCS. CTRL+TAB will switch focus between programs. Make sure you don’t have that function mapped as a key press. When it happens, raise your visor and see if you can CRTL+TAB the focus back to DCS.
  12. Whenever I fire up DCS it starts with an adjustment screen to solve this issue. I just X out of it because my HMD doesn't have the issue. Can't remember if its just for the Odyssey+ or WMR in general. You might want to ask Wags if you can enable the adjustment screen for your HMD.
  13. I like the O+ better. It was $300 and I planned on selling the O for at least $200 but the wife decided she wanted it. I did have to do some minor modding to make it comfortable and loose the light bleed. I just posted the mods on the Samsung forum a couple of hours ago. I’m holding out for Samsung’s answer to the Rift S/ Index HMDs. Hopefully by Christmas.
  14. Yes. Auto correct corrected then I re-corrected incorrectly. I have been going through the in game training as well. They are very well done.
  15. I usually just open the desktop and full screen what I want. You do have to alt+tab to switch focus. I bought a couple of aircraft since going VR but haven’t properly learned them because I couldn’t access youtube’s Training videos. I may now be able to get a handle on the A8V now.
  16. Once you are in game just hit the windows button on the controller. Then just choose the app you want to open. I'm on both the SteamVR and SteamWMR beta. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
  17. WMR has that functionality built in. It’s just came out with last month’s Windows update. I can pull in, size, and move pretty much anything like the desktop, a browser, a document, or an external camera view. It’s pretty neat.
  18. I agree whole heartedly. I have both the Zotac and Gigabyte water blocked cards heavily overclocked and it makes a world of difference. Shame that DCS/VR can’t utilize SLI yet or I’d snatch the Zotac out of my wife’s machine for “testing” purposes... :music_whistling:
  19. Great input gentlemen. Thank you for helping me realize that the best course of action right now is to wait. The CPU and memory upgrade put me in a nicer place with regards to the overall VR experience so I’ll just leave it at that for the now. Maybe when Samsung announces their new HMD I’ll start looking into a GPU to drive it.
  20. I noticed a fairly decent improvement when I got a Ryzen 3600 and 32Gb of 3600 ram. I was flying MP last night in the 4YA caucus server. 33 players. lots of AI. Never dropped below 45 FPS with pretty high settings. My old 1700 and 3000 memory struggled to keep 45 FPS with frequent dips into the 20s and sometimes teens on the same server.
  21. Are these worth the investment? I was looking at the chair with the moving back and seat panels as well as the seat belt that tightened. They were kind of expensive but looked very immersions helpful. Can’t seem to find any for sale though. How loud are these pads?
  22. I got mine from WidmoVR and just used the distance part of my prescription. Before I got the lenses I wouldn’t wear my glasses under the HMD because the glasses would contact the HMD lenses. This always ends up with both becoming scratched up. That’s a $1700 hit I wasn’t willing to take.
  23. What are your computer specs and what headset are you using?
  24. iRacing is a totally different experience as well. You’ll find yourself looking for games in VR that are comparable to the games you play now. I’ve replaced my whole game library with VR. I played Skyrim last night for 3 hours without fast traveling just because ( a heavily modded) Tamriel is so beautiful to just wander through. The only game that I still play in 2D is City:Skylines. I’m hopeful that will soon be VR compatible.
  25. Right now I have a frame time between 18ms-21ms. So with reprojection I'm pretty solidly at 45 FPS all the time. A 30% increase should allow me to get a fairly solid 60 FPS with no reprojection. Does this sound right or is there more to it than that?
