Just started flying the Spit on your server as you guys need another dummy for target practice.... Since vulching seems to be allowed here by the other side before I even get to taxi. How about allowing Combined Arms so I can man the ack-ack guns, etc. ?

(re: Message #1) Got approval by John McCain? LOL! https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1BOHD_enUS487US526&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=A-4E+McCain I used to be a Navy guy, though not an airdale (Navy-speak jargon). USS Forrestal ========= https://www.google.com/search?q=uss+forrestal&biw=1229&bih=589&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiRoKanwr_RAhVj_4MKHYwNBywQ_AUIBygC I was to Gitmo in 1978. I saw a crackerjack pilot fly one of these out of the air-station there. Had a mini-airshow for about an hour. Cooooool jet!! As usual, I am a bit late to this party. You build it, I will buy it.

Got the Spit IX for my birthday and the Mirage for Christmas. Got the Spit down fairly well, now setting up the Mirage. My wife took French in high school. Looks like I'll be in her debt again >>> dinner out somewhere nice... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Got this from Gospadin's signature (have not tried it yet) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=158050

+1 Me, too >>> Thanks!

(re: Message #5) Finally got takeoffs consistent using the current Burning Skies server with its stiff crosswind conditions. Of course get shot down a lot, but at least can now get in the air and once in awhile get back to land it. I just sim fly, don't have real life experience. Other 3 WWII birds I finally got how to fly the pattern, touch and goes, flying the pattern, pretty much just trial and error. And finally some combat action. Message #5 's advice : now got the Spit IX down fairly goodly. Thanks (My stuff are CH_Products: Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals >>> no Dead-Zone and curves at 30. Not using any cheats.)

Very helpful, as you always are Yo-Yo . Spit IX not using any cheats except curve in my Fighterstick and Pro Pedals. Thank you. -

Thanks for the video. Learned something! Finally got takeoffs consistent using the current Burning Skies server. Of course get shot down a lot, but at least can now get in the air and once in awhile get back to land it. Guy I know that my wife works with his wife flies tail-draggers pulling gliders to altitude. That guy can really fly that thing. He is also an A & P mechanic and built his own big ass bi-plane. http://www.naa.edu/programs/what_is_an_ap_mechanic -
Spitfire better than P-51D for online matches?
DieHard replied to TripRodriguez's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
(re: Message #1) Well, it doesn't really matter which plane I use; I stink at dogfighting! I just enjoy playing DCS. Figure Rickenbacker was considered an old man at age 25, his reflexes were that stale compared at age 18. How about us old farts on here playing against the kids? -

Took me about a year to get fairly good in the Ka-50. For me, the Spit is a handful learning her, like the 1st 5 years getting used to being married... Once I finally get in the air, flying her is really sweet. My 1st landing was dam near perfect. But I am not consistent at it, yet! Have not found that ideal sweet spot as to the axis curves setup, am still experimenting at it. -
(re: Message #1 as to your Freeflight scenario) I am not too fond of any of the DCS aircrafts' canned sorties, missions, or training scenarios. I like learning and flying online on somebody's popular server. Whether there is anything to my point of view, I don't know, but that's how I do it. It seems there are trigger point conditions that have to be met in the offline scenarios before proceeding or advancing. Might try doing a repair under Eagle Dynamics under Windows All Programs listing as to your ESC key problem.

I'll spice it up... Jay Leno's jet car out of the same TV episode: http://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000575498

I have Time-Warner cable TV, now they call themselves Spectrum. TV these days compared to the 1950's and 1960's, for me, rarely not much to watch that is very interesting. I like Jay Leno's Garage episodes. Did a search for "garage" and found his episodes replays availability. The episode "Space Age" talks about visiting a VIP-only flight museum to Edwards Air Force Base. http://afftcmuseum.org/visit/edwards-museum/ Anybody been there? Anybody want to expand on this subject? Thanks for info. Repair via All Programs under Eagle Dynamics for DCS World fixed my issue. And the repair did not mess up my saved custom Snap View settings and my new FOV in cockpit. I am good. Joined Burning Skies WWII server in MP no problem. (See my Message #19, this thread)

Integrity check failed! Culprit is "views.lua" via Spitfire Will attempt a repair.

"Pure Client Required" Just tried to join the Burning Skies WWII server. Never saw this message before, been playing DCS online in Multiplayer for 6 years. What's going on?

Bragging Rights: Max X-Wind Safe Landing
DieHard replied to Schwarzfeld's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
This isn't final release by any means. There will be some fine tuning along the way for awhile, usually 2 years. -
If you can find a new one: Get yourself a Logitech G510 keyboard with its 3 modes of 18 each mode programmable G-keys. That's what I use.

Concerning Number-Pad #5 Default Centered View
DieHard replied to DieHard's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Stonehouse, I think this is what I am looking for. The default FOV view that I changed is the last entry in the Spitfire category. I only setup the sim version. The various aircraft type listing is alphabetical. Notepad++ allows a much better organized look than just the plain Notepad. Thanks -
Bragging Rights: Max X-Wind Safe Landing
DieHard replied to Schwarzfeld's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
(re: Message #1) This plane is a (insert favorite swear word) to taxi and takeoff. I got the landing 1st time, on the runway touchdown I was at 60 mph and not a bounce. I used the offline quick take-off sortie with the included crosswind that is setup with it. I use the CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Pedals going on now 7 years. Finding the curves sweetspot is the issue with me including throttle and analog RPMs. I set everything at 30. Deadzone for everything is 2. I prefer not to use curves at all. Not using any other cheats, though. This thing is a dream to fly compared to the other 3 WWII birds. SOB to learn! Not ready for combat, yet. Only difference this time around is I now take a pretty strong dose of anti-seizure meds twice a day and that has killed my concentration for study time. Work-in-progress. Booze is off limits for me. I had good party times in my younger days---no regrets. I still have fond memories!! P-51 was also a pain initially until I found its sweetspot setup. I am pretty good flying the circuit pattern takeoffs and landings in both German planes. ____________________________B_U_T_____________________________ When I switch aircraft, there is a re-adjustment time frame to get re-aquainted with them. I usually stick with just one aircraft at a time for awhile. I'm getting to the senior citizen time frame where my memory isn't what it used to be. I thought attaining age 65 was suppose to be "Live happily ever-after!"
