  1. Ken King is the guy to ask as he has a knack for making the difficult relatively easy to digest. His DCS username is 531-Ghost : ===================== https://forums.eagle.ru/member.php?u=44731 and CH-Hangar : ======== http://www.ch-hangar.com/ and Windows 10 issues (a bit dated) : ===================== http://www.ch-hangar.com/hardware/ch-products-and-windows-10-compatibility/ and http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php/topic/8218-ch-and-win-10/?hl=windows and Use their forums' search engine for designated topic to find more. -+- (I use CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals using Win 7 Pro. My Control Manager copy is version 4.52)
  2. Looking for a Spit or mix of Spit and Mustang squad to fly combat sorties online on any of the WWII servers.
  3. Be realistic, how many of us have chased a distant bogie for ten minutes, never getting any closer to it, then realize it is a loose dust speck that can easily be wiped off our monitor? LOL!
  4. I would buy a B-17 with the ability to fly it and also man any gunner station like Aces High II used to do it in a minute, even for a $100. But we would have to start way back at some air field in order to get to altitude. Probably a medium altitude, smaller bomber would be more practical. Guys, I just turned 65, if lucky, maybe I have 15 good years left. Don't wait too long developing the WWII bombers... Reconsidering, an A.I. bomber would be just fine.
  5. WW II Scenario Dog-Fights; Finding Bogie at Distance ? Do not know where to ask this question. How do guys flying the WWII aircraft find enemy aircraft at distance? Are any mods being used in Multiplayer that are allowed and get past the Integrity Check? Dog-fighting ======== That is my biggest negative issue, seeing the enemy bogie before he sees me. Advice, tips, etc. appreciated.

  7. Gospadin, Thanks for the Mirage Mods for the English cockpit and your Kneeboard pages. Much appreciated by me. Cheers
  8. In 1.5, your advice worked fine. After initial setup, additional mapping does not need to be done in a SP or MP mission, but in Option/Controls not in flight and will no longer crash when exiting. Still need to setup in my Nevada map. Thanks. (Mirage is easy to fly compared to the Spit and I am using zero dead-zone and zero curves currently with the Mirage.)
  9. Will attempt assigning controllers on the Nevada map, latest update. Stay tuned.
  10. Possible solution, not attempted, yet; work-in-progress : =================================== https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3008508&highlight=black+screen#post3008508
  11. Purchased and installed the M-2000C module to DCS 1.5 (December 25, 2016). My current version is DCS 1.5.5.6065.216 Have not attempted setup in the latest Nevada map. Yesterday started assigning my 3 CH controllers. Have been pre-occupied learning the Spit 9 for a month. Just loading and assigning my CH Fighterstick then saving causes black screen. Only way out is bringing up Windows Task Manager and "End Task" for Digital Combat Simulator. Tried both ways using my CH Control Manager which I always use, and separately in DCS Options/Controls without using CH Control Manager. I have most of the DCS inventory---this has never happened before. Went into the DCS Module Manager for my M-2000C Installed Files installation, my Serial Number shows itself as being installed. Using no mods. All JSGME mods turned off. Went to 104th Phoenix's server, the aircraft shows up, me in the cockpit. What is going on? How to fix? If necessary, what is the process to uninstall this module, do a PC restart, and do a re-install?
  12. +1 As to the copters Stay low, don't fly predictable, pre-planned routes. Ideally get somebody to fly cover for you.
  13. This is what I did by resetting NumPad Enter key to the FOV I want as to "Zoom normal". My lousy short term memory, I don't remember how I reset the Numpad #5 key, but I think I did like setting up SnapViews. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=180549 See Message #'s 6 & 7.
  14. (re: Message #10) Nice! That is a save. Thanks
  15. Nice discussion. Dam_ nice video! (Where and how did you find that?) See at 7:15 into this video for setting the compass and Directional Gyro. ========================================================================================== - - Is Chuck's .pdf Guide WRONG ?? See Page 58 . https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-uSpZROuEd3RmVCamxfZDNaOVk/view To check >>> see the supplied airports' guide in the kneeboard as to a runway's compass heading. - - Have not tried to digest the supplied Spit 9's Flight Manual just yet.
  16. (re: Message #7) See Chuck! He said it. Chuck's .pdf Guide---page 54 I turn on the left side fuel pump at 15,000 feet when the engine starts to sputter.
  17. RPM is at 2650. Boost at 4 but I play at it as necessary. Gear down 1st and adjust up elevator. Get slower, then flaps down. I trim up elevator by feel and the angle of attack I am looking for once flaps are deployed, but I have my one eye glued to the slip/turn indicator nicely centered, the other on the runway's threshold and centerline. Wags describes the how-to nicely. I am doing fine landing until I get below 60 mph when my rudder is no longer effective. Still working on that. Maybe have 30 landings so far. I have the 3 other WWII birds as previous experience. This Spit is a bit touchy in comparison to the other 3 aircraft in its current state. I like flying the Burning Skies server with that stiff crosswind. I have zero experience flying in Single Player. My ping is about 150 or so. Early afternoon Eastern Time Zone finds lots of guys on.
  18. So, I flew the Burning Skies server today. Worked my way up to 25,000 feet. Nobody flies up here where the Spit's performance is ideal. Let's get some bomber modules of the era and force higher altitude fights. A.I. does not interest me at all.
  19. Flying my Spit on the Burning Skies server the artificial horizon goes out and is not true to the horizon: left / right roll and up / down pitch. Today, I went to 25,000 feet. Is there a way to adjust in-flight? Anybody else have this negative issue? (later edit) ======= I see I am not alone : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=180415&highlight=artificial+horizon and https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179164 -+- Pretty good re-creation of this plane, developers re-created its flaws! LOL!
  20. Ditto as to your observation. Me, too---rolled back to 368.81 awhile ago and works good for my GTX970 and Win7x64.
  21. Not Australia, but, Tasmania: Is Devilman's MadDog server still up, the old S77th guys? http://www.maddog-simulations.com/ I am in NY, USA; I played on his server for several years with Cooper and others.
  22. I know this reply is a bit off topic: Just seize up the engine, there is lots of smoke. LOL! Be careful on takeoffs once in the air as to rpm's.
  23. (re: Message #1) Hi neighbor, Wow, Brooklyn. I am in Orange County, couple hours north out of NYC. FPS issues should be nil for me. Lived in Freeport for couple years as a kid.
  24. (re: Message #506) Just consider it; it is your server, do what you think is best. And thanks for putting your WWII server up. +1 Thanks
