I find any extension longer than 12cm and you need to spread your legs so wide to accommodate max deflection that keeping your feet on the pedals is tricky.

The magnetic sensors cannot be 'cleaned' like a potentiometer but other things can go wrong like loose/pinched wiring or loose mount for sensor or magnet. Either way, open her up and have a look if there is anything obvious out of place. Good luck and let us know what you find in there.

Yes it often happens there are more fixes than in the update log however usually the main fixes are reported.

I think you will be ok, if you are happy to go a little lighter on eye candy you will still be able to get 40-60 fps, but it's just a guess and ultimately we won't know till it's here.
