Nope. Because when I press down. The pedals in the sim go down. When released the mini hud show released. It’s not the brakes guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Although would obviously be the problem, it’s not. Handle is in and light is off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Ah okay. Now that you mention it, you’re right. It seems all modules have this behavior all the way to the A10. It does seem more pronounced with the big cat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Most likely. I don’t really desire to use MGRS simply because other modules still don’t implement that format. Going from plane to plane and switching formats will create more mental fatigue than what needs to be. As lord Wags stated in the book of EA chapter 1 verse 3. “Doth purchase thy Early Access, must wait the time of developers.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That’s not what I said. I said the F10 is incorrect for the DDmm.mmm conversion. If you read my previous posts you would see that. Multiple ways to skin a cat. Either way, like other things, it’s not complete. Still WIP. I’ll just wait until fully implemented. Guided weapons are really slow to develop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I can confirm that was my issue. The F10 map doesn’t provide precise coordinates. To get precise coordinates you must copy them from the mission editor and make the conversion. I have not checked to see if the mission planner works or not. This is using the DDmm.mmm format. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

reported Low HUD refresh rate for LTWS L&S and DT2 targets

Excellent break down. Thank you for accurately documenting this problem. This is exactly my observation as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
I’ll try that and see. I also noticed the in mission map F10 doesn’t have the same coordinate resolution as the ME map. Both provide the same format. I think that’s my problem. Sounds like I have to stick with providing the coordinates in the brief. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

On a somewhat related, is the simulation correct for taxi thrust? That also seems a bit underpowered. Seems like the airplane weighs +100,000 lbs. To maintain taxi speed I have been having to set a constant 80-85%. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Hey guys, I’ve converted the coordinates correctly to the DDmmss.ss format but have noticed that the impacts are still not as accurate as say using a targeting pod. Is this intended? My targets are ground vehicles. Some either directly impact or in proximity. But it seems like killing armor vehicles has a very low probability of kill with how loose the targeting is. I’m using GBU31s. To convert, I take the .mmm x 60 = ss.ss Isn’t that correct? Not sure if my expectations are correct with these weapons or not? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Returned and tested again Hey guys, I've been able to try this again and I think I know what happened. I accidentally bumped the trim hat. I took off again with same conditions and she flew straight and true without any problems. Out of curiosity I pressed the trim nose down. And sure enough, it caused the same problem I originally encountered. Question: Is the jet supposed to have trim on the vertical axis while in Auto? From my understanding, its not, and even the mini control hud (Rctnl+Enter) sort of supports my query, because if you input trim in Auto, the small trim diamond doesn't move. Also, I can't seem to get my wingman to taxi to the runway. I didn't alter anything regarding him and he seems to taxi only after I takeoff which is odd. I have the tanker truck drive and park close to wingman, but not in a blocking or restricting way. Any help would be great. Here's the mission. F18 bomb practice.miz

Cold start. I will post both the mission and track file when I get home. It will have to wait until Thursday unfortunately. Also it sounds like this is something very isolated. Maybe something I did wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Hey everyone, The other day after I built a simple bomb range mission in Nevada, complete with fueling truck. I originally built the mission for F-14 but it was so well written that I decided to make it also a Hornet mission. Usually I fly on the Caucuses map or Persia map. So I don’t know if this is map specific related? Problem: I noticed I have to constantly pull to keep the jet in level flight. I never had to do that before or at least in such an extremity. It seems to always nose down about 5 degrees. Flaps are in AUTO, Gear UP, flying in cruise flight with 6 mk20s, 2 65Fs, 2 120Cs, 2 9Xs. Can anyone confirm or duplicate this? I just want it to add the immersion in missions. If I’m operating a jet that requires external sources to start and come to life. I want to see them there and hear them working. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Where to keep FPM during landing The pitch ladder and wings symbol are depressed. The FPM isn’t. That’s why to fly straight and level with PFM it’s close to 5 degrees. So a 3 degree descent would be 2 degrees above the pitch ladder horizon. Noticed it’s not exactly 5 degrees on the mark for level flight. It’s about one width of the FPM below 5 degrees up. What’s even more strange is turning greater than 45 degrees of bank, it appears the horizon line of the ladder lines up with the horizon and the FPM?? Crazy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Ground Power and Air Cart 3D Models? Here’s a better air cart. The other one was a cooling cart. This one may be a combo. It looks like there is both power cord and HP hose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

GPU Air start cart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I was just wondering about this the other day. It’s a shame we don’t have a simplified model of a GPU and start cart for all DCS aircraft. Would also be nice if the carts actually had the appropriate diesel sounds too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Is it because the cat always needs +5 degrees of pitch attitude to land? Sorry for the curiousity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I noticed once, granted once, that the radar was showing the missile in flight no where near the target when the counter reached zero. Are we sure it’s time to impact? I can’t understand why this would happen otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Difficulty seeing lighting/Warning lights
Eagle7907 replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I have this problem too. I created a mission to help me with BFM. In the middle of the quarrel I run out of fuel. Didnt see the warning light at all, nothing from J-man. (Would be nice if he says something about bingo light) Just the unmistakable silence of fuel exhaustion. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Me too. I have transport category experience. To me, DCS wind parameters seem off. Almost like the effects of wind with munitions and aircraft are the same, which it shouldn’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Low HUD refresh rate for LTWS L&S and DT2 targets Same here. It’s best to leave LTWS off. I’ve been shot down numerous times because I can’t even get the steering cue inside the reticle. I turn to the left. TD box appears off to the right. Turn to the right, TD box back left. Turn back left, oh look a death stick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
