  1. What are the benefits suppose to be?
  2. After touchdown, there isn't enough airspeed around the rudder for it to have authority.
  3. Its the engine torque trying to make the plane spin; completely normal for a plane with a propeller. The effect should be less at ~2300 RPM.
  4. Overhead panel, towards the back. There is only 1 switch, you cant miss it.
  5. I was in a mission earlier and my Shkval got damaged; it was out of action. Its been a while since i flew the Black Shark so I couldn't remember exactly but I think I've seen somewhere that it was possible to move and aim the cannon without the Shkval, using the HUD. Am I mistaken or is it really possible to do so? And if so, how?
  6. What I was looking to do, though, is to see all available planes already parked on the ramp. Maybe it is possible through some scripting? Like for example make the parked plane disappear when a client chooses it?
  7. I'm new to this whole mission building stuff. I want to make a training mission with a lot of different planes already parked on the ramp with the possibility to jump into them from the spawn screen. Is it possible to do?

  10. I think spotting a plane in the distance is marginally easier in real life compared to DCS.
  11. Maximizing plane visibility distance? Back when I was flying the Huey or the Warthog, the visibility of distant planes wasn't that important. Now that I've got the Dora, priorities changed quite a lot and I find myself having a very hard time spotting enemy planes so I would like to improve my visibility distance. What are the optimal settings to maximize the dot draw distance? I have a 21.5" monitor running 1920x1080 native resolution. I've also included a screenshot of my current graphical settings in DCS. Is there any way I can improve the visibility?

  15. I remember once my pilot died mid-air in a multiplayer server at something like 20,000+ ft. No enemy planes around, nothing. Just died for no apparent reason. I thought it was hypoxia but can't remember if air was on...
  16. Nailed my first Mig-15! The trick for now seems to be dragging it into a high g turn fight at low altitude. If you let it climb away there is no chance of catching it. EDIT: Oh yeah... It was on average, though :music_whistling:
  17. I still can't kill anything in this plane. I find its a difficult bird to fly in combat. You can't really fly it as a jet because of the limited armament and you can't really fly it as a WWII plane either. Its a whole new world IMO. Gonna take time getting use to this one.

  19. Skate, are you referring to the panel under the dash with a knob that reads "Missile"?
  20. I hope so as well. If we're stuck with guns only, the F86 is going to be so underpowered :'(

  23. Thanks, that did it! The gun fire control now fires the rockets and, when selected, the cannon. :D
  24. Flagrum: Thanks, I'll give it a try. Rapier-VCG-: I had the cannon selected but weapon release did not fire the cannon. I made sure the cannon was functional by pressing the space bar and that did indeed fire the cannon.
