ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Pman replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
I'd think there is space in the screenshots section of the forum for Aerobatics teams rather then dumping them in the Mods section simply as they have things they wont release to the public ? -
ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Pman replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Now that sounds like an excellent idea, especially as there are a number of teams with non public release mods. Gets my vote -
If you join the Virtual Aerobatics server tehere are generally a fair few people on there who are experienced with the Mustang. I dont know how many of them use it in combat but they should be able to get you started with general handling, engine management etc. :) Pop into our teamspeak during the evening and have a natter with some of the people there. Questions regarding the stability and control of the Mustang
Pman replied to Pajeezy's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Just an FYI I was THERE when then horsemen and the greys flew it, as well as Steve Hinton Jnr who just won Reno again in a Mustang... So if they tell me its good, then I will take their word for it :) Pman -
Questions regarding the stability and control of the Mustang

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=111388 Enough said Unless your Mate has more experience then the 3 pilots who fly in the Bremont Horsemen and the 2 Mr Greys from The Fighter Collection then I am sorry I will believe these guys Simple as that Pman -
I tried so many different options including hardcoding the damn ip into dcs.exe itself, dont ask lol anyway it just corrected itself, I put it down to an IP assignment issue with the master server Just keep trying Pman
-
Just an FYI I tried that at the time and it didnt work Pman
-
Ironically I went to go and try your fix Xcom and it was already working Pretty sure it was the IP assigned to the client upon connection to the master server was incorrect. Either way its up now :) Pman
-
thats exactly what im going through, not fixed here yet though
-
Ive had two of the most experienced network engineers around working on it for an hour and they cant fix it, confirmed that the ip on the server hasnt changed. but since the master server was down earlier its screwed Nothing we can do now, over to you ED Pman
-
Same issue with the VA server mate, Exact same ip showing in the interface box. Cant seem to fix it :/ That said there is alot of servers missing tonight Seems to be alot of the ones that use dedicated servers in data centrers, people from their Pc's at home seem to be ok Pete
-
Confirmed I cant shift that 176 IP no matter what coding we use and what reverse engineering we are doing Working on it....
-
yeah sith and the others know VA well. They already have the mods that we use with the modifications made to it :) Pman

Indeed there are a number of 24/7 servers as mentioned above. I know the the Virtual Aerobatics one is up almost all the time. The crashing that you say is part of the inherent game state at the moment, there is nothing we can do about it. Its for ED to fix the game then it will be stable. I could put my server box inside ED's head office would still be unstable as that is just how the game is at the moment Pman

Yeh its the things like the MOTD and mission restart timers that prevented me doing SLmod on the VA server. The sub admin commands make it easy for me to give admin roles to my server admins for when Rock or I are not around. As/when things are added to Slmod (or its successor) then I will happily move across, so if your going to implement the things I need Grimes then I'll happily pop it on the VA server Pete

nope its serious, some people suffering a huge improvement in frames just by holding down a mouse button. There is another thread on the main boards for it I am at work at the moment, will try it later Pman Edit: sniped by Sith

Question concerning the Propeller lever during the approach step ...
Pman replied to Skulleader's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Its truly interesting to read about other pilots preference when it comes to something like this, Makes me want to try different ways of doing it just so I can say that I do it differently haha! -
Hmm interesting bitmaster, I've never had issues on the VA server in 1.2.6 but then again a critic would think I'd say that anyway lol Not fps stuttering anyway, there is sometimes abit of lag but that's down to how many people are on and their own net connections as well. We keep an eye out for that specifically on our server anyway. Looks like I've managed to aquire an nvidia card to use in the short term will try it tonight and report back Pman
-
That's interesting, what card are you using?
-
Very interested to know exactly what driver your using and what settings. As it may be a "sweet spot" thing Sith, I will do a track tonight, I have to leave for work in about 3 minutes so cant do it now :p Pman

tried those and not alot of change, have tinkered with Radeon Pro and forced a few issues to low and it bumped the frames abit but still way under par The dual GPU's are only running with one (known SLI and Xfire issue so np) but the one core it is using is only clocking up to 50% ish Hoping for some optimisation along the path :)
