  1. lol, that makes 4 people who think its their model... Amazing how when something new rocks up people always lay claim to it... For a Start its a 1C
  2. Just a small correction G-AWHE Is owned by Richard Lake and is not a resident of duxford, it Lives at Humberside along with his MkXVI Spitfire That leaves the Arco Buchon that is a permanent resident. Well airworthy one anyway, flown primarily by John Romain (as you can tell when you have a gander in the cockpit hehehehe) I would have thought John would give some valuable feedback, whenever I have spoken to him he has been a very nice guy. I'll collar him next time I see him and ask. Pman
  3. Apologises for scaring you :D :pilotfly:
  4. Beg Pardon its the Canada one http://www.platinumfighters.com/#!bf-109e/c7r0 My sources have said that it has been up for sale for quite some time but for paperwork issues its unlikely to get permit to fly in the UK Pman
  5. This one Although commonly listed as a G10 I believe judging by its Werke number it is actually a G14 although it started life as a G6. Even this one though doesnt have the original wings and they are repo's Pman
  6. If your editting the cockpit position of an imported cockpit (like the ka50) then you need to edit the files for the Ka50 Cockpit. Not whatever you called the data lua for the aircraft (chinook.lua) or whatever. But bear in mind if you do this then when you fly the Ka50 the cockpit will be out of position Pman
  7. Well in Europe anyway the 2 in Germany are actually Spanish built Buchons refitted with DB605 engines The ones in the UK are modern spec buchons. In fact there is only one G airworthy, a G-14 in the USA, as well as a single E model in the states and one in Canada (the USA one is up for sale as well :D ) Pman
  8. Yeah thats the one I was speaking about Good Read
  9. Rob Erdos did a good pdf about his experiences with the 109E from Canada where he goes into the problems with the gear, bear in mind alot of it is to do with the small fusealage, small rudder and alot of torque from that engine. It is a sound fact that the Me109 is a dangerous beast on the ground, there is a reason pilots have to do more hours to solo on this than any other warbird
  10. to be fair thats one guy who's mate has a few hours in a P51, with a setup that was configured incorrectly, play the sim for 10 minutes, A recipe for disaster. To counter that you have 7 of the most experienced warbird pilots in the world including the worlds only P51 display team with correctly configured equipment spending alot longer on the sim saying its as close as you can get without being in a Mustang. enough said really... The 109 will provide some interesting spectator moments watching people land it thats for sure :) From the pilots I have spoken to each of the Spitfires and Stangs have thier own special needs and you need to have a smooth touch with them to get the most out of them. 11. The only thing I am cautious about when comparing the 109K to the 51D is that they had unlimited access to a real airworthy P51-D, 2 in fact. They dont have access to a real 109K that is airworthy So I dont know where our benchmark of realism should be Pman
  12. Congrats to all the winners! Pman
  13. Alot of the 3rd parties are going down the payware route. However most of these aspire to study sim detail level. This is alot harder and more involved then a simple SFM model. Even if you borrow code from the A10A or something. But to use SFM and get it flying isnt too bad. Also to release a payware model involves contracts and licensing things etc which for some part time hobbyists who wont make any real money out of it just isnt worth it Plus thats before you go down the protection route needed to stop only one person downloading it and giving it to everyone... Pman
  14. Yes, depending on how skilled you are with code and 3d modelling it's not too hard Guided munitions aren't too bad but I haven't done it as I don't have any interest in it
  15. Nope I dont know of any that have gone into depth with modern weapons deployment. Its something you need an immense amount of data for and without military contracts you just wont have it as a good portion of it for a modern fighter is classified. Getting one in with SFM isnt too hard though
  16. combat capable is more difficult, especially if you want weapons that use profiles that are not already in the game. Since you normally have the new imports working with SFM you have to adopt preset weapons profiles unless you want write your own. Im not going to get into it in a screenshot thread but there are some good guides out there :D Pman
  17. If only it was that simple :) Also alot of the aerobatic teams like having things just for their team to make them unique :)
  18. lol Blaze But yeah, none of the refueling system is gravity fed, the pressure the fuel is transfered under I have no doubt it would work. If they were allowed to try is another question :p Pman
  19. quite simply alot of them are personal projects and whenever anything gets released to the general public 90% of feedback received is negative. "This plane should do this, take off in that, can out roll this blah blah blah" I know the planes I am working on are for aerobatic use and as such I dont care about weaponry which would annoy people if I released them ;) Pman
  20. I've seen him and another guy do a whole tank of gas with it As for AFM, highly doubtful but AFM in the Su33 isnt even a dream atm
  21. Wishing you guys the best of Luck, wish I had more time to do work with the A10c as it was the first aircraft I came to DCS for :) Pete
