One of the biggest problems I see is the quality of the kickstarter video.First and foremost I have been an almost diehard flight sim fan since 1987.To me DCS A-10C is the best sim ever...period. I was never a big fan of WWII planes,so how will you attract people like me? If you REALLY want to get more money for your project you should have a more polished product to show and you should partner with someone like Oculus to create some buzz. I would scrap the current kickstarter campaign/video and take 6 months to create a more polished version.Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward. I wish you the best and you have my donation!!

It looks like 50 percent of those are some type of view,solved with a rift,another 40 percent solved with a mapped HOTAS.The last 10 percent are end mission etc. I will concede that this would only work in a fully clickable cockpit.

I think the mouse issue could be solved by someone developing gloves with reflective marks on them,like trackir.Your fore finger would act as a mouse cursor, and maybe a pinch motion to click mfd's etc. I bet you could modify trackir to do it.

Guys get rid of your 8 track tapes and cassettes,the rift or something along those lines is coming soon whether you want it to or not. All things being equal 2 virtual pilots in a dogfight with equal skill,one with a rift and one with a 3 monitor setup. My money is on the rift pilot all day.

From what I'm reading EVERY flight sim/space sim developer is adding rift support except........DCS.

I'm in the same boat,I think I'll go ahead and get VRS also,I'm betting we wont get so much as a screenshot from DCS for 2 years.

I dont know of a single game in my 30 year history of playing PC games that took 8 minutes to load...WOW!

Although I didnt read it in depth it doesnt seem like a "dummies" guide to me,looks kinda complicated. Are you saying someone with little to no programming experience could do this? If so I'm all over it!

I tried it and its fun but its way too complicated as far as how to get the plane you want,the coins etc.

I say bring em on,hell I'd like to see DCS space shuttle while youre at it lol. I think the civilian aircraft would be a welcome addition as it would also help with that "sterile" feel that DCS has at times.

I think once we start seeing more DCS fighters come out Thrustmaster will start making removable sticks,I dont see how it would take much effort on their part,I think they are just waiting for a market....I hope.

No way that would work,a sim as detailed as A-10C would take the average person months to learn. I'm not buying your product if I have to study for months to use MP. The simplest solution would be to add a note to the server i.e. experienced only,noobs welcomed etc.

I'll buy it if the price point is right,arcade or not.

If it were up to me,and I know its not lol. I would make Nevada strictly an interactive training area. Flight School if you will .There are a lot of training missions missing from A-10C and this would be a perfect place to add those,air to air refueling,using a JTAC,formation flying etc. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe they are saving the announcement of rift support for the Sept 1st secret announcement.
