  1. Even then, 1:1 correspondence with one particular jet is too strict for purposes of DCS World and multiplayer design. I like a little flexibility in how I can configure each aircraft, which is why I will keep asking for the Aim7 on the Viper. Other modules have been similarly victimized by the 1:1 approach.
  2.
  3. The most numerous fighter aircraft in the world with the most variants...but in DCS it must have one-to-one correspondence with one particular F-16. Right. +1 for 4 AGM-88.
  4. Forgive necro bump. This issue is still outstanding. AI vehicles get stuck more often than not.
  5. The authenticity is great. We all agree on that, but it was a programming choice to make it so specific. There is another sim where, if we want to, my friends and I can load up the F16 with Aim-9Ps for furballing fun. Can't do that here. I don't get why half the users here seem to agree with that outcome when they would never have our gameplay choice imposed on their gameplay choice.
  6. I don't care if it is historically accurate. It needs to be a thing for mission design. I would make the same argument for rear-aspect ir missiles. Some of our fighters cannot downgrade to them.
  7. Not sure which is worse. This post or bumping an old one: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=232497 If I want to make a mission where the F-16 is downgraded, let me. Some F-16C have carried the Aim-7, just not ours...whatever. You don't have to play with me, right?

    Hornet vs Viper

Viper. It's faster and only a scrub takes 10 amraams.
  9. Come back after the bug AoA bug is fixed. Can't pull g at the higher speeds you should have for maneuvering. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4470317&postcount=179
  10. Force feedback not fully implemented.
  11. Very simple test mission. Single player. Set to AI, and I know it's working because the aircraft starts with a pilot in the cockpit (when static the cockpit is empty). AI spawns and sits there forever isntead of taking off. mission and dcs.log included. SWAPR test.zip
  12. The Colorado river on both sides of Lake Mead is pretty good.
  13. When you have done hundreds or thousands what is the point?
  14. I know one air force pilot who plays DCS, and he prefers air starts. There is a lot more to the fidelity of DCS than the rampstart procedure.
  15. This probably isn't the right attitude for enouraging more players to try multiplayer.:(
  16. Because there is always some arbitrary, hidden thing you have to do to get 100%... This is why I usually don't fly SP campaigns. Too much time spent with rampstarts, the same dumb-dumb AI you get with a quickstart. Multiplayer is the way.
  17. Can, but it is not important to me. Did it, got the t-shirt, off to do things that are more fun.
  18. If it is AI all bets are off that is following the rules of physics.... but it should be possible without gimmicks. Please report your airspeed and g-load when you are attempting to maneuver with this AI Mig-19. A track or video would be helpful, too. If you can maintain at least 6g and stay between 350-450 knots I don't see why you wouldn't win. Once you get on his 6 he will start looping (like all AI) and then it is OK to get slower.
  19. You don't even have to have them pop smoke. If you're using the ctld script you'll get an option to see the status with the F10 menu. Do your laser guided bombs work?
  20. Also, if the bandit is fleeing at 5nm, that is another good situation for a 120. In the other sim holding TMS-up locks up a bandit with the jhmcs, not sure how well it works in DCS, but it can be useful. Foresight and vertical scan are pretty useless right now in ACM radar.
  21. Inability to pull AoA at medium/high airspeeds is already a confirmed bug. Will be fixed in the next patch (fingers crossed).
  22. 1943/44 allied planes vs 1944/45 luftwaffe planes. That is his point, and it is a fair point even if he expressed it poorly.
