  1. Try multiplayer. There are some good servers for dogfighting other players out there. Way more fun than fighting bots.
  2. .stm goes in the static template folder.
  3. Kind of worries me that they said they implemented it but it's not there.
  4. 1) this test was without warmup, as specified in the op. It could be repeated with a warmup to see the difference. 2) because the point was to blackout the pilot. Without the paddle it wouldn't be possible in the f18 3) F15 reaches more than 11g with the turn performed more precisely. 4) turn was ended in the f15 because the 180 degree turn around the platforms was complete. The other fighters cannot match the maneuver without blacking out the pilot, even though the g load is lighter.
  5. If you fly multiplayer in the Viper you can reproduce this. "cannot reproduce"
  6. Perfect for Syria, thanks. P.S. Just use a simple zip for compression, dude. We don't need winzip, winrar, etc.
  7. In the future you will be to add steerpoints where you need them with the JHMCS.
  8. No, it's a bug. He means that it won't turn off when's he's looking forward at the HUD. Only saw the bug once during multiplayer. Can't reproduce it.
  9. 4th Gen Fighter maneuverability and pilot G tolerance I set up some oil platforms in the Black Sea as a kind of maneuvering course. Try to approach at 500 knots and then turn as hard as possible with afterburner. I ran this course many times with various jets and had consistent results. I am not a content creator, but here you can see what I did from the cockpit. The trk file was recorded from external view so I could see the g-loads through black screens. The mission is there too if you want to try it yourself. No warmups were performed to prep the "pilot" for the maneuver. Aircraft, g-load, result F18, 8.3, gloc F16, 8.6, gloc M2K, 8.6, gloc F15, 10.6, tunnel vision onset Su27, 7.7, black screen, no loss of consciousness Mig29, 10.1, gloc F15, 11.6, tunnel vision onset For the Su27 I did not disable the g/aoa limiter (or whatever it is) because there is no way in heck I would be able to control it effectively for the procedure. That said, I was surprised at its poor performance. The F15 is the outlier, but the result is consistent with how I've seen it performn in guns-only combat against human opponents. test.miz gloc.trk
  10. No, you can't dismiss the point just like that. You haven't even offered a rebuttal. Just tried out the Mig-29A in the same setup. Result is 10+ g, pilot g-loc. With other aircraft you get gloc with less g in the same time you can pull 11.8g in the F-15. Keep whiteknighting all you want for it.
  11. This module is arcade mode because of the insane g the F-15C pilot can sustain before g-loc. Take any other 4th gen fighter we have, at 500 knots execute the hardest turn you can with full AB, record result. (no "warmups" beforehand) F-16 = gloc <9g F-18 = gloc <9g M2KC = gloc ~9g Su27 = gloc <9g and has a huge radius F-15C = 11.8g, screens gets grey I'm not arguing the airframe can't sustain 11.8g. I'm sure it can. The issue is the pilot model. Because of the Flanker's performance (easily the worst of the bunch) this isn't an FC3 vs DCS squabble the way some might try to make it. It is just the F-15 alone.
  12. Level ups in a flight sim? No thanks.
  13. In the meantime, some FC3 jets pull over 12g without blacking out the pilot, while if you're in a DCS module it is lights-out right away. The F-15C can't hold 12+ g for long, but it can do 10-11g for quite a while without gloc'ing the pilot.
  14. Use a Freesync/Gsync display. Or go for VR. Nvidia settings have some options in between sync on and off. The best one I tried was called Fast sync.
  15. You can only get away with that against the AI. P51 engine is borked. WEP will seize the engine, just a question of how quickly.
  16. Not an assumption. Find me one example from ww2 of a pilot whose engine stopped mid flight only because of pilot error. The literature has many examples of the contrary, where pilot error did not seize the engine.
  17. One of those threads where someone wants to show off his specs, demands great frames with supersampling or some other ridiculous setting.
  18. You shouldn't be able to "blow up" the engine. These machines were operated by 20 year olds under extreme stress. The engine might have to be replaced, but it wasn't going to just die because someone did something dumb.
  19. Not a chance in DCS. You can't pull enough G without blacking out.

The two free offerings are fine. Anyone can watch youtube to see what the other modules have to offer.
  21. Who is labeling these bugs "Cannot Reproduce?" This is the easiest thing in the world to reproduce. Just try out boresight mode, it is obvious. Immediately noticed by real-life Viper pilot too when he tried the module.
  22. Not sure what GPU you have, but DCS runs great with my 1070 and a 32" 1440p freesync display. If you're going to stay at 1080p then 27" is probably the biggest you want.
  23. If the engine can be replaced after the flight then there are no limits. These engines did not just die because the pilot did something dumb or because he forgot to reduce power and ran at WEP for 45 minutes (there are examples of that).
  24. Israel also seems to be absent for several aircraft.
  25. The AIM-7 (any type) is so bad you're better off leaving the fuselage rails empty.
