  1. What I usually do if I screw a long mission (1H+) and I don't have the stomach to do it all again : - save the track - replay the track, fast forward to the point where I screwed up - Escape -> Take Control Voilà ! This also can be very educational as to how to handle a situation from different approaches, this way you can try different ways to plan your attack and not replay the whole thing every time.
  2. I recall that in the Vietnam in HD documentary they said that the majority of medevac where an hour long back to the nearest field hospital. I am not sure if it's an absolutely reliable source of information though.
  3. In the DCS World Overview video posted by Matt he stated that the SU-27SM and the F/A-18C and F-15 were created by ED and their "partners". As Matt never referenced to their SU-27 (nor in the video nor in updates) as a SU-27SM, I guess the SM will come from a 3rd party. At least that's how I understood it.
  4. Hey not at home right now so I can't verify but there are two firing options under your control options. Weapon fire and weapon release, you want to configure the binding corresponding to weapon release to fire a missile, Right Alt + Space if my memory is correct.
  5. This is the AN/APS-13 Rear Warning Radar warning light. It will light up and you will hear an alarm when an object is detected rear of you (and of course only if the AN/APS-13 is switched on). The AN/APS-13 Rear Warning Radar control panel is located on the right side panel of the aircraft after the radio panel.
  6. Hi did you make sure that in options-> gameplay, the list on the right entitled "Cockpit language" is on English ?
  7. Nice find Griffin. Do you have precisions on the where and how ? If the SU-27 were intercepted, was it because they penetrated Finnish airspace ? If so, is it standard procedure not to fly with RWR on when flying off domestic airspace ?
  8. Apparently the cargo broke loose and shifted aft, causing the aircraft to pitch up hence the stall. That must be a tough situation, knowing that there is nothing you can do to control the aircraft :(
  9. Yep, those 190 are gorgeous. I wish this damn patch was downloading faster than the 50 kb/s it is doing right now.
  10. Please don't Dazzyd. There is no argument going here, just a polite explanation of technical terms between 2 gentlemen. On the contrary, post more ! Your last shot was really cool.
  11. Slightly off-topic. Aaron, I disagree on this. The bokeh effect is the consequence, tilt-shifting and depth-of-field are the cause. Both tilt-shifting and a shallow depth-of-field create the bokeh effect, wich means "blur" in japanese, and designate the blurry area outside of the focus plane.
  12. This means that to intercept the runway entry point you need to fly to a heading of 225 This means that to intercept the runway entry point (runway number 13 ) you will have to fly 80nm. QFE 29.69 is the local pressure (so you can set your altimeter right, but this is not possible with FC aircrafts). The pattern altitude varies between around 2500 ft and 3000 ft depending on the airports, but this isn't a really useful information for now.
  13. Nice one Dazzyd. However I am not a fan of fake bokeh on shots like this one, it tends to give a "toy" feel to the scene and makes it unrealistic where it could have been almost like a photography without it. Would you release the same shot without the bokeh, that would be my wallpaper for sure.
  14. Isn't it 4 on the B-1B and Tu-22M and 5 on the B-52 ?
  15. Thank you for this detailed explanation Cookie
  16. +1 It would really make sense in modern conflicts and battlefields.
  17. Thank you Weta43 and you guys for the quick confirmation and that is awesome
  18. Out of pure curiosity, can the bullets ricochet actually damage anything or is it a purely cosmetic effect ? Tried to test it IG with no luck so far.
  19. Weekly updates will be awesome  :megalol::megalol: Ok, you can't see me already, I'm outta here ==>
  20. Ah nice, thank you for pointing that to me
  21. Hey Silver_Dragon are you sure a CY-25T 6DOF cockpit is in development ? To my understanding, the SU-25 being a FC3 aircraft was to receive a 6DOF cockpit, and not the 25T wich belongs to DCS World. I can't find an official announcement about the 25T in Wags updates.
  22. Sad news :( RIP
  23. Something tells me you do not want to be anywhere near Cowboy when 1.2.4 and the Huey hit because I think the guy is gonna be loud, defeaning loud I mean. Something made of "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and "Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaah" and "Yeeeeeeeeeepeeeeeeeeeee" :megalol:
  24. Hey there ! 2 things that I whish could be improved in the UI : 1. I would love to see an option to select a skin (with a drop-down list) that would override the skin selected by the mission maker. That way, you could always fly with your favorite skin. Of course there also would be an option in the list like "no override". This would avoid messing with every skin files. 2. I wish the pre-briefing and ingame briefing could be displayed in fullscreen, at a higher resolution than the 512x512 we have now. On complex missions, it is sometimes difficult to see every objectives on these tiny maps.
