  1. Looking forward to details regarding the pre-order offer.
  2. I would like to register for the next round for blue team: Lonewolf Callsign: Skjold Preferred aircraft: Mi-8, SU-25T, Mig-21, F-15, A-10C
  3. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.878036548949651.1073741841.316077818478863&type=3 Alot of new screenshots were released today. Looking good.
  4. Nice video, might have to do a new one after the 1.5 release tho :-D
  5. Love the server! Keep it up.
  6. A Gotland map makes perfect sense for any swedish plane becouse of these reasons. The island was of strategical importance for both NATO and the Warsaw pact, and ofcourse Sweden itself. The Gotland area had major airbases during the cold war, and to my knowledge also a network of road bases. The baltic sea east of Gotland was one of the most active intercept regions throughout the cold war with Soviet, DDR, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, German, British & Americans flying there almost daily. It is small enough to be made fairly quickly, and fill out the rest as the baltic sea.
  7. Good video, have no criticism that hasn't already been mentioned.
  8. Q: Will the L-39ZA carry more weapons then the AI plane already does in-game? It currently carries dumb bombs and S-5 rockets but should be able to carry more such as gunpods and air-to-air missiles.
  9. The only flying Viggen in Sweden (maybe world?) is a AJS-37 Viggen, IF it is the Viggen that one might have been used for FM data. There is also numerous Viggens in stationary displays in musums all over the country.
  10. Yes as someone else said, viggen is not a multi-role aircraft (attack variants could only fire Aim-9's.) AJ and AJS is the attack variant JA is the interceptor variant. The Gripen is still heavily classified including such things as its datalink system, the Viggen is out of service and much easier to get access too. I would LOVE a Gripen, but i don't see it happening.
  11. The pictures don't mean anything.
  12. Yep, that is indeed a real candidate. It was also operated by the Black Sheep squadron (Cobras avatar). The Black Sheep's also operated the F4U Corsair. They did say that one of their planes would be related to their namesake (Leatherneck, nickname of Marines). I think the hints so far is Duck (Vigg=Tufted Duck, Viggen= The Tufted Duck), Swedish Air Force Emblem (Cobra Avatar), RB 04E anti-ship missile (Cobra Avatar, used operationally on the Viggen), Ground Radar (PS-37 used on both AJ-37 and AJS-37 Viggen variants), "Complex missiles with Advanced Targeting Parameters" RB-04E would fit to that description, as it is a sea skimming missile. "New or unique methods of propulsion or force distribution" Thrust Reverser on the Viggen to support it's STOL capability. So, my bet is still on the Viggen.
  13. A guess would be that they are trying to build hype, the F-14 would be a smash hit no matter what becouse of Top Gun and its many fans across the world, but them not announcing what what the other two aircrafts has made atleast everybody that i know that plays DCS talking about what it might be and it seems like the speculation threads on here is some of the most active threads on the DCS forums as a whole at the moment.
  14. Nothing of the "mini-update" disqualifies Viggen as a candidate, yay.
  15. Thanks for the update, really interesting information. As a Swede, im obviously hoping for the glorious Viggen that i saw so much growing up but im keen for the modern plane whatever it is! Also, welcome to the new member of your dev team.
  16. Actually, it is 2 new modules being announced. I am dying for news! MiG-21 made Leatherneck my fav 3rd party developer and i can't wait for more quality products coming out their door.
  17. I had my HUD heading show 120 degrees off the other day, no mods at all. It normally works tho, it was a one-off thing.
  18. Nope, more interested in the suprise projects myself.
  19. Do you count scuttle losses where repairs was technically possible but the crew decided to jump ship and scuttle the vehicle to save their own lives? If you do, alot of them has been knocked out. If you don't, there is still a fair number that has been lost in Iraq & Yemen to ATGM systems. Not sure if i can post liveleak stuff on here, so feel free to google "Saudi Arabian M1 Abrams Tank Cooks Off After Being Hit By Yemeni Houthi ATGM" for example.
  20. Nobody seems to have mentioned that the defensive guns should also be implemented on the Hip at some point.
  21. Where do you get the information that the Gazelle will carry Mistral's? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=145461 Nothing here regarding it.
  22. Thats an odd choice, from wikipedia (yes i know, amazing source) "Several types of ammunition were developed, including practice, armor-piercing, high-explosive and incendiary. In operation, however, two major ammunition types were used: Minengeschoß ("mine-shell") and high-explosive incendiary."
  23. Not aviation, but i bet alot of military nerds can appreciate it. Strv 122, (Leopard 2A4+) 3rd Tank Company attachment of the I19 Infantry Regiment, Swedish Army.
  24. Check the videos below, it does way to little damage to tanks. SRUqNrmx-Ik l4v7pPcKZKs nyZ4AiRD3ow
