Splitting the community in any way is detrimental even for the biggest of games such as CoD, yet alone a small but dedicated community such as DCS. As somebody said, in the long run maps are not viable to be sold for 50 $ at least to the multiplayer community, as we want to play together but then again they can't really give away a map for free either. I think that lowering the prices of any multiplayer maps in the future will be key to their success. I bought Nevada and don't regret doing it but knowing that it has limited usefulness in a PvP scenario due to the lack of outer airfields and the relativly high price making some friends of mine refusing to buy it leaves me very skeptical about buying any new maps coming out in that price range. On topic, i would imagine since they are small maps they are either packaged into the module or sold s eperatly for a substantially lower price then the nevada map.

Welcome to DCS! TrackIR 5 is an amazing piece of kit, once you buy it you won't be able to fly without it. I wouldn't know about the Saitek stuff so therefor not the right guy to answer that. I am not sure if you actually bought any modules but it really depends on what you are interested in / wanna do with the planes. If all you care about is being competitive and the most efficent at certain tasks in multiplayer PVP and COOP then there is very few planes that truelly are competitive. A-10C is currently the best all around ground pounder, with the Su-25T having the unique ability of being the only SEAD (Suppresion of Enemy Air Defense) capable aircraft in the game. The only truelly competitive fighters are currently the F-15C and the Su-27S in the flaming cliffs package, which are not full fidelity module, I.E. clickable cockpit etc. If all you care about is flying around and doing aerobatics or joy flying, then any plane could really float your boat it is all personal preference. Personally my favourite joy flying aircraft is the MiG-21 partly becouse it is an interesting aircraft to fly with the possibility of engine cutting out mid-air and that landing it is notoriously difficult and that it also has good afterburner performance but mostly just that the module is so extremly well made in every respect. To learn any plane the best method of doing that is reading the manuals that come with the planes or watching YouTube videos. Cheers, Skjold.

Yeah, it is indeed still a problem. 104th for example i know is up and running right now and i am able to connect to it, but nowhere to be seen in the server list. I would have hoped this would have been fixed by now :(

Hopefully they fix it soon so we can have these great missions in 1.5 :)

These keys do not seem to do anything: Landing Gear Down (LShift + G) Landing Gear Up (LCtrl + G) Drag Chute (P) Flaps Up (LCtrl + G) Flaps Down (LShift + G) Flaps Up/Down (F) Jettison Fuel Tanks can't be bound to a keyboard key.

Stuka is iconic, can't wait!

Very good news! A question for you, will the various types of Gazelles and Bo-105 be a part of the same module or seperate modules? I will buy the Hkp 9A no matter what but just curious :)
-
Stuka would be a nice addition!

Not Aviation, but more footage from the tank company of the I 19 Infantry Regiment / Swedish Army. Seemed to like the last one i posted, so why not.

Any Tornado would be an excellent addition to DCS.

I wouldn't expect too much, making 3d models is expensive. Don't get your hopes up too much!

Surströmming is for real men! They have said that supporting AI units will come with any plane that "feels out of place" which the Viggen would fall under. However, if they do make ground units they are bound to be CA capable. For example, i think these units are needed to support the module / just for the cool factor. AI JA 37's for the interceptor role. RBS 67 (Hawk) battery. RBS 70 Manpad. Bkan 1A/1C SP artillery. Strv 103 tank or Strv 121 tank. Pbv 302 IFV or Strf 9040 IFV (CV9040) Logistic and Fuel trucks. Picture from my own collection of a Strv 103. Such a unique tank.

Good point that i didn't consider. I wouldn't be suprised if it was made compatible with our existing bomb arsenal however. I wouldn't hold my breath for it but maybe someone who actually has worked on the airplane that knows anything about other bomb types for the Viggen? Swedish Military at the time didn't let alot of things go to waste, hell we even mounted Hispano 20 mm cannons from J 29 Tunnan and J 21 fighters onto an APC/IFV called Pbv 301 in the early 1960s.
