If you are not getting any value out of it, you shouldn't be forced to pay. If DCS' quality suffers that much, people will move on. It happens all the time. In the US, ESPN, an all sports network, waded into politics and alienated 50% of the country. So naturally, they lost customers in droves. They decided to stop with the political commentary and decided to focus on what they do best, sports. That's the market economy. NO ONE is forced to pay for sub par program, and subpar is defined by one's own experience. I purchased the BS when it came in DVD (CD?) format. I bought the BS2 upgrade, and the next few times I upgraded, I couldn't be bothered with installing from the CD/DVD to use the BS upgrade. But after a while, ED decided to give us a BS2 license that didn't require the CD. The point I'm making is that I *didn't* think digging for the BS1 media was worth the effort. And I didn't feel like buying a new license and I didn't. But for FA18, F14, Huey, etc, I'll gladly pay. It ain't perfect. I want the JHMCS, I want the new shaders, I want the VR fix, and I'm willing to pay for it because *I* think it's worth it. So much so that I own ever DLC and module except the MiGs. I don't even fly most of it, but I wanted to support the 3rd party and ED. So I voted with my wallet. We're not different at all. You don't see value where I see value. It's as simple as that. Neither of us are wrong. The market will decide. It always does.

And June 5th is the eve of Normandy, 75th year anniversary. What it must have taken to jump in, or land on the beaches. Especially Omaha and Gold.

You can boresight, drive etc. That's being in the game. It sounds like you haven't tried VR. And I get it, you can play the game on a monitor just fine. But you can't *be in it*. And VR makes that happen.

Some folks learn best when there is a guiding hand. Nothing wrong with it.

I don't believe you can play VR in any resolution other than the native one. At least for CV1, Odyssey, Vive and P5K+. There's no way to change the resolution, and when you change it in-game, it's just ignored.

Played with it for an hour trying to dial it in. I double checked the distance. 5 and 10 miles out, I can see the specks moving. In my test miz file, I have 3 sets of A10s flying an oval pattern at 2500'. Set of 3 at 5 miles and set of 3 at 10 miles. I can spot them around 11-12 miles away. But I can't make out what type of planes they are. I'm flying at 300' and the planes circle at 2500'. So I'm looking up, but not by much. At 5 and 10 miles out, it's almost level with the plane. And the bonus is that I confirmed with shopblt that I read the inventory report correctly when I pre-ordered. I'm in line for the first batch that comes into the warehouse. Soooo excited to check it out. The ETA to the warehouse is still around June 5th. And the email stated "Currently, this item is scheduled to ship to us from the factory for arrival on 6/4/19. Should the manufacturer miss the estimates, we will notify you and provide you with updated estimated arrival date(s). In the meantime, we have secured your place in line for this popular item, and as soon as stock is available, it will ship immediately. Maybe it's time to delete the contents of shader/fxo files or do a repair? Mine certainly don't look that awful. The shader and FXO files are in (default) C:\users\Your_UserName\Saved Games\DCS\metaShaders and ...DCS\fxo folders. I don't know if it'll help, but it's simple to try.

1 1/2" (~3.8cm) with the housing. Not very thick, so it may need a braced cantilever if it's mounted in current form factor. Cantilevers. Makes me think about my statics class in school. Probably one of my *all time* favorite class. If I had a week to brush up on it, I could tell you what load would shear the lever :D:D
