  1. I opted for the generic mount. I'm getting the Reverb soon so I figured I'd go with the generic one. Will report on it this weekend.
  2. Hmm, that's not too bad. Do let us know!
  3. Maybe the thread title should be changed from "Yet Another ...." to "The Most Successful Warthog Slew Mod" :)
  4. Damn, I was just in Prague too. (beautiful city by the way).
  5. You are about to embark on a great adventure. For which we have striven for many years. The eyes of the DCS World is upon you. the hopes and prayers of DCS loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave gamers and VR brothers in arms on Caucuses front. Your task will not be an easy one. And just know that all of us will be living through your reviews vicariously! :D:D:joystick::joystick:
  6. Honestly, I think it's a paradigm shift for developers. Every game programmer dealt with a static 2D environment where latency between eye's were never considered. If ED can find shader optimization that can bring huge performance gains, imagine what programmers will be able to do when they build the software natively for VR.
  7. You'd rather that they let it ship hoping no one will notice "whatever it is they need to fix"? It's certainly not an auspicious start, but better than the alternative. We, DCS'ers should be used to it by now. Edge engine, F14, etc.,etc.,etc. Patients is a virtue after all.
  8. It's just X and Y coordinate. So if you should be able to specify the UIMainView to the center view. Or Also, you can just tell Windows that the middle (or the right) monitor is your Primary. It's a logical designation. See https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2616874&postcount=799 for more info. PS: But I do recall a thread where someone said that the MFD's can't be on the left. But I'm not sure.
  9. Therein lies the problem. If you look at DK1, to DK2, to CV1, that was about 2-3 years. And now you have Pimax, HP, Samsung, Oculus coming out with next-gen'ish devices. So that's a lot of coin to drop on a disposable tech. Of course, if you have money to spend, by all means go for it.
  10. Don, Are the pictures representative of what you see, or is it the mirror on the screen?
  11. I *HIGHLY* recommend Bunyap's youtube page. The series is called Down on the Range (something like that). there are A10A videos, but you can skip those and move on to A10C videos.
  12. Industrial strength!! Thank you. I'm always curious what folks se. I use Vectric (way easy to use) since it's a combined cad/cam program in one.
  13. Out of curiosity, what CAD/CAM programs do you use?
  14. But you will lose everything on the 500GB disk. Acronis can/will mirror your 250GB, and will expand the partition to match the 500GB automatically. But it does overwrite everything on the 500GB drive. So make sure you back that up.
  15. Couldn't hurt to just try it. VR can use any and all less latency.
  16. There's nothing wrong with Pimax. The software is a little glitchy on the smoothing etc. But I flash back to first ATW and ASW attempts by Oculus. The better resolution *and* the increased FOV is pretty cool! After I get the Reverb, I'll keep one and sell the other off. I'm sure the Reverb will look better, but I have to weigh the wider FOV of Pimax. I really don't know if I can go back. We'll see. EDIT: Well, I guess glitchy software counts as something wrong! LOL
  17. I'll check when the PDF is updated and report back
  18. Oh I'm sure it'll be an improvement over CV1. But the question is, will it be good enough when others have surpassed it by quite a bit. I can tell you that my P5K+ *is* way better than the Rift. Although the software is still catching up. The good news is, you don't know what you don't know. If one's frame of reference is CV1, you'll be happy with the much better resolution.
  19. Are you planning on adding a custom copper/water cooling for the 2080Ti? The righ above is water cooled CPU/GPU isn't it? The radiator is on the bottom of the motherboard? I always bought EVGAs AIO GPUs (titan, 1080Ti) but this time I couldn't wait and grabbed the 3fan air cooled GPU.
  20. Through the lens always look worse than real life. Mostly because it's hard to find the sweet spot. However, the relative difference is what's interesting. Assuming the pictures were taken in a similar condition, and judging by the angle, it's not too bad. One can make a reasonable conclusion about the pecking order of clarity. Again, because relative difference between the various HMDs. I've owned four of them, and I must say that for the most part, it's spot on. Not the actual picture quality, but the relative clarity amongst the contenders.
  21. Chuck mentioned that he will not be writing a tutorial for the F14. However, he did have a mini-me review/guide on mudspike. https://www.mudspike.com/dcs-heatblur-f-14b-tomcat-preview/
  22. Hm, Interesting. Maybe it'll make a difference in VR?
  23. Ah...I took the "didn't update" to mean any and all updates! :D
  24. Which Pitool version are you using?
  25. You guys are forgetting that you can turn off PD (apparently) with Reverb. And I'm also banking on the DCS improvement for VR coming in the next few months.
