  1. It's with all J-11A, F/A-18C Lot 20, SA-2, SA-3, Flat Face Search Radar, KJ-2000 for both M2k and Harrier. Not just P-19. The fix never went through.
  2. Just curious, why not?
  3. Heck I'd even go for a non armed version of any medium to long range UAV! Make it a two part process to deliver in the field. A UAV, whether catapult or runway launched, and the Ground Control Station. On MP you can use a helo to transport the GCS on to a ridge line and have LOS, giving greater range. Destroy the GCS, the UAV returns to home base on timers, giving you a chance to deliver a new GCS. Place several GCS around the map to pass off the UAV to another kill box. So many possibilities.
  4. Yup! Day one purchase for me. As a former UAV operator myself, something like this would bring the battlefield to the 21 century! Using an F10 type map to plot courses, speed, alt, CW/CCW orbits while scanning, lasing and even firing on target.... yeah ok.. got to be done! Implement a pseudo triple screen display, map, engineering tables and sensor display. There is no sim or even game on the market that offers anything close to real world UAV operation. Arma comes the closest but the controls (at least since I last used them a few months ago) are very clunky and don't respond most of the time.
  5. Its lighting dimmer setting to be used during the night. The darker it is outside the more light you need.
  6. no, perfect condition means everything must be perfect: Altitude, LOS, temperature, baro, right down to the air quality at surface. Not modeled in DCS.
  7. Just for reference: https://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/agm-65.htm The Maverick E Used in conjunction with ground or airborne laser designators, the missile seeker, searches a sector 7 miles across and over 10 miles ahead. If the missile loses laser spot it goes ballistic and flies up and over target -- the warhead does not explode, but becomes a dud. Range: 17+ miles (12 nautical miles/27 km)
  8. Price of missile in no way reflects its effective range. According to wiki, max range of AGM 65 E is 12nm in perfect condition. In DCS it's probably in the 8-10nm region.
  9. It's not a MP issue. Its the limit in DCS (as Jojo satted) Although I thought it was 10nm, but regardless, there needs to be a limit (as actual RL limits are more then likely classified) and 8-10nm seems very reasonable.
  10. Agreed 100%! Although at least 3/4 or more of my DCS time is on MP I get a kick out of those who make the ridiculous claim that DCS is primarily a MP game. I do believe the game shines on good MP server (my go to is DDCS but there are many great servers for all levels!), but looking at the MP numbers there is NO WAY in hell any company would be able to invest the ridiculous amount of money DCS and its third parties have so far if the module sales weren't in the high 5 to 6 figure count. It's just not mathematically possible!!! Unfortunately a game like DCS has probably 1/10th or less the population of arcade games like BF series and all the "world of XXX", but hopefully as the game evolves further, we will see more coming and who knows MP may end up see a huge increase in numbers.
  11. Sorry I should have been more clear. I bought the set second hand, heavily used with rudder pedals. After about 3 years of heavy use myself, one day it no longer responded (windows no longer detected it) so in my drunken brilliance one friday night I started playing around with the firmware and ended up bricking it and then I took it apart and sure enough broke some of the sensors. The TM F18 stick will more than likely have the same base and will be interchangeable but will have a few less buttons then the original WartHog stick. So for me even though I will end up buying the F18 and F16, I'm much better off with buying the WH stick to ensure all buttons will be available when I play with the A10c (no need to map anything using this stick/throttle with DCS A10C!) Besides there is no date of the F18 stick yet.
  12. the TM stick will have less buttons than the warthog stick though. So I'm going to stick with the WH stick. When I bought mine off kijiji I went to the guys's house and he had it setup to try out first. I was blown away how big both are and the die cast metal give it a really authentic feel. Other than trackir, this was easily the best investment for sim gaming. I'm waiting for black friday to see if it will go on sale. Bestbuy, staples and walmart all sell from their websites any other PC store will easily charge >100$ more for the set. I'm just looking for the stick so currently 349$ BB and 329$ walmart hoping it drops sub 300$ in the coming weeks. But you should be able to get both for around 500$ Currently best price in Canada is Walmart for 549$, for the cheapest route and save you HUNDREDS of dollars over importing anything else.
  13. I've priced out some of the other products (I bought the TM WH second hand years ago but looking to replace my stick) and you are looking easily at double cost to import equivalent products import to Canada. Virpil controller and throttle setup that is equivalent to the TM WH setup will cost over 1000$ CND BEFORE shipping!!! VKB does not have a separate throttle so again you will need to spend much more then you would for the TM WH. Not to mention any issue you have with these product will require you to reship back to them and pay for shipping back to you (waiting weeks in between and costing easily 100-200$) But in the end it doesn't matter as both of these companies are currently completely sold out,. These are "boutique"manufacturers most likely run from a small shop or even someone's house, that may or may not be open next year. So your only real choice (and best choice in my opinion) is to go for the TM Warthog if you live in Canada.
  14. He's being sarcastic, by making up an arbitrary number, like you did with your 65 people affected by your ISP problem!
  15. "DCS would need to "auto-save" those 8 small datasets every 250ms in RAM and then "load" these again when auto-slot joining was successful). Just one way of how it could be made possible. " Unfortunately you really have absolutely no idea. So many things wrong with that statement!!! But, again you won't see a simulator allow disconnects or allow ping of 3000-10000ms. Battlefield 1 2 3 or 50 may allow this but DCS won't, neither will any other combat simulator. You need to get a new router where you can set the setting for specific time to renew IP. It's not a DCS issue. I think it kind of ridiculous to dedicate 12 pages to this topic that won't get changed nor would server admins even want this.
  16. What you essentially are requesting is changing max ping to 10 000ms or higher depending on how long it takes you to come back online. I don't know of any high fidelity simulators allowing disconnected players from resuming their session. I doubt you will ever see this changed in DCS.
  17. bug since day 1 (almost 10 years) I believe. I don't remember it ever working.
  18. But this is affecting SP missions, campaigns, MP, Caucasus PG (havent checked other maps) single monitor, multi monitor configurations, It's not a stealth bug. anyone who opens the map will see it. Since 2.5 came out there has been one single patch which fixed the issue then the next patch messed up all maps again. I have seen the bug reports when it first came out and even remember ED confirming the issue. Now after 10 months of living with this bug they are asking about it????????? Come on ED get it together.
  19. Is ED not aware of this bug????? It's been around for a few months now. All resolutions and all setups affected. Open up the map and it's there!
  20. I think if you pm Wags he can get it done quicker, since it's only been around since M2K came out
  21. I should have said overhaul. I believe this radar fps bug affects other plane radar systems, but not as obvious as the antenna elevation on M2K. As for the rest, yes you are just guessing.
  22. It's been like that with the mirage since day one. I'm guessing until DCS gets radar upgrade, this will continue.
  23. that's not what I was saying. I said that selector for backup HSI/ADI has no bearing on alignment of the M2K."No bearing on alignment" meaning has not relevance, or impact on alignment. You would not use that selector to align in any circumstances. its used when in flight for emergencies only.
  24. nope that button has nothing to do with start up alignment. its for emergency use when primary HSI/ADIfails. it uses backup gyros. which is why you get horizons secours on hud.
  25. The selector on the right is the backup HSI/ADI switch. it will then display "Horizons secours" on HUD. Has no bearing on alignment and is only backup if primary fails. As far as I know selecting (no alignment or whatever the option is) in your special options menu for M2K, it will override server settings. Whether a bug or not, not sure. I never have to align the INS in M2K on any MP server unless I deselect the option.
