Another thread down the tubes by a poster not taking the time to research through this forum before asking a well discussed question. By the way, there are many folks alive who take great umbrance from this emblem having lived during the time of its activity, if not their parents. We are not all 20-40 somthing flying DCS. Like I said, find a mod for it.
-
Not a chance! Someone will have to make a mod. And . . . . .this has been gone over many, many, many times as to the reason so I hope we are not going there again.
-
He explained the reasons. I don't think anyone, of any rank or any service, would like to have ANY investigation on them. This is not a civilian enterprise! The outcomes can be disasterous to one's own career, the rankers around you, your superiors and possibly higher up should some arm of the gov't or military wish to make an issue for various reasons. Even if you are in the right. Like Greg said - "It's not worth it."
-
I watched every one of these vids in sequence and it taught me a great deal. I thought they were very professional and I also accepted the fact that these must have been approved by superiors. For the minority that forced this closure of a great and informative series of vids - shame on you! So sorry Greg, really feel for you and your endeavor to help this community.

Yes, I think it would be a nice option to have it in a separate window if required. I endorse this because of fine vision issues. IMHO, I think it would help many "older" sim pilots. The boat is much harder to see the meatball than when acquiring lights when landing on an airfield. Thanks.

It is not simple nor can one expect others to conform to structure. Perhaps just enjoy what comes while you are in the learning curve. It's easier on the gut. If that is not acceptable, then wait for the final product. No one is paying the customer to conform and no one is forcing you to purchase it.

Hopefully, if they go that far, it will also have a new gimball assembly. :)

Nope: Listen to what he says. Original equipment.

Hopes for DCS Crimea map anytime soon possibly dwindle even more ...

Already stated by ED - not going to happen. -
Where did you get the big green spring?

TM Warthog - VKB Gunfighter MCG Pro - VPC T-50
Davee replied to Abburo's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I find the TM Target Script easy to understand and program variables. I find that the MCG-Pro, even with all the variables it can do, far too complex for me to program. I have the manuals, but what I would like are some examples of how to program certain sequences like they do in the TM manual. Following examples and inserting your own data and adjusting equations is much easier for me if I can see the written sample. For that reason alone, I am thinking of picking up a new TM F-18C stick and base when it becomes available. My current WH base is worn out. Then I'll have two stick options - WH and F-18C on a new TM base. -
I expect that the base or a link has a pretty good ground radar. I can't imagine a WWII sneak attack in a modern scenario that hasn't been detected by something other than a RWR.

If humans are still around, you'll be lucky to find food. I feel sorry for the folks in that era.

With my WH the afterburner works fine going through its detent. I just unticked the "afterburner detent" box in the setup.

It appears to permit downloading to a different drive if you want.

Just a comment but I had the same issue and found it to be caused by my anti-virus program.

So many interesting variations that work for different people and all very helpful. My setup is: Monitor 1080p Nvidia Control Panel: I run DSR x 2 Vsync set for fast in NCP - not in game. Ingame: MSAA 4, AF 16 Note: no lens flare as that is a camera optic, not what the human eye sees. No Depth of field. Best I can get for now. Subject to change of course. :)
-
Exactly! It is stick dependent including options such as extension.

My take is that they've been compiling the download for some time today and checking that it unpacks OK. This takes a bit of time so I don't expect any early release except for perhaps a couple of hours to unburden the servers a bit with the expectation of massive hits on their systems.
-
Yes, it is a difficult choice at this stage. For the OP, it is important to be aware that many/most online servers throughout the years tend to use the release version as generally, it is more stable having gone through the beta stage first. Many anomalies are introduced during the beta phase and this can be a big issue for scripting. Offline, who cares which version one plays. Just sayin'

I believe that "Guns" is now a flight instructor on the F18. Please correct if wrong.

Recommended RPM/Boost settings for approach/final?
Davee replied to Nealius's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Hi philstyle: Always nice to read your posts. I'm too busy ducking my head far inside the cockpit as I watch the center-line paint job zip by while I'm perfecting my upside-down braking technique. :) I read most posts but refrain from participating because of the "enthusiasm" of differing opinions but couldn't resist this time. Hoping to save someone from having scrape marks on their canopy. :) Cheers Mate Cats . . . -
+1 The updates required for the Mirage 2000C are far to late and the next aircraft the Hornet is almost on the scene. For me, the Mirage is off the my system and I've decided to work more with aircraft that have TAD features such as the A-10C to become more familiar with procedures in anticipation of the arrival of the Hornet. I will not be looking at acquiring any RAZBAM products in the future.

Recommended RPM/Boost settings for approach/final?
Davee replied to Nealius's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Full fine pitch puts you in danger of torque management and can set you on your head. Recommedned is 2500 rpm on approach. Set boost to maintain speed you have indicated. The lower pitch setting to maintain 2500 rpm will prevent torque issues initiating wing dips. In the book somewhere.
