  2. No, i'ts just increased boost for already built aircraft. The charts from '44 show a comparison between A8 that have standard boost and A8 with increased boost. There was a A9 planned with changes under the hood.
  3. No, there are no real differences between a A8 with standard boost and a A8 with increased boost, except for the boost lever in the cockpit. I hope we get the boost with the engine damage model.

You can fly all the warbirds till May 18th https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/2020-04-17_FT_MONTH/ The Anton has weak performance at high altitudes. 6000m is okay-ish, but it is challenging at 8000m and more. But if you get your guns at the bombers, the bombers fall quickly from the skies. The Anton is currently the worst dogfighter, but good for bombing, as she doesn't all apart as quickly as the others when getting hit by ground-fire. Fox
  5. If you have a dual throttle, you could use one for full range, the other for limited range. But be careful. When using custom curves, pushing the limited throttle full fwd, will give full fwd to the sim, as the last value is always full value. Fox
  6. I agree with your post nearly completely. I think that the problem is that people "feel or think" that they are unable to compete and, as you said, feel they are cannon fodder. The K-4 can fly with 2600/1.45 till the tank runs dry, cooling is no factor. The Spit otoh needs 18lbs to fly with the K4 here and might explode after a while. I prefer SoW. There is a range in the throttle, that has no change in virtual throttle setting despite physical/real throttle movement. So if you don't blindly firewall the throttle forward you don't kill the engine. And it is easy, if you have a afterburner detent on your physical throttle. Adjust your throttle curve, so that you have 2600/1,45 at the afterburner detent. That's your stop gate. Fox

But it would be better if ED released a G14 or late G6, added increased boost for Anton and then it would be better for the Normandy timeframe.

Testconditions: 40°C OAT No Wind Severe sunshine 50minutes full throttle (4*Left CTRL+Y) Prop gov manual Fine pitch Cowling flaps fully closed -> Engine RPM 3500rpm and above -> Oil temperature: 100°C++ -> ATA went once, for a minute or so, to 1,8 -->Nothing happens Is this supposed to be that way? DCS is able to recognize when the head is outside of the canopy, as the sound changes, when this happens. I think blurry vision, if the players head is a few cm outside the cockpit would be a good compromise. Fox
  19. March '44 the boost was increased. You could instantaneously see, if it was retrofitted with the increased boost, because there was a lever to pull in the cockpit then.   20. You do realize that I wanted to please the "balance!" crowd? I want all major WWII aircraft types and subvariants in DCS. I don't care about perceived balance. True balance is only achieveable if both sides have the same aircraft painted in different colours. I'd love to have Me262 vs. Meteor fights. Just for the fun of it. And because it could have happened if the war continued a few more months. Beside that: War, was never balanced. I have the impression, that Anton was a testbed for this. In the Keycommands you see a few copied commands from Dora to Anton. I hope we get a Bf109G6 soon (both late and early versions) Fox
  21. Absolutely agree with you both. I think ED should really really push to the Me 262, because it is in the original "promise" of this Kickstarter as a strechgoal. I´m happy we´ve got the Anton(non-Kickstarter). I will immediately buy the Jug(Original-Kickstarter) and Mossie(non-Kickstarter). But the Swallow should be the next one after the Mossie, as we are already in the year 6 after the Kickstarter. It´s about time. Balance? ED should make the Gloster Meteor right after the Me262. Fox

  23. It's terrible in VR. There just needs to be one Anton in your vicinity and the fps drop drastically, so that it gets a poor Slide-Show. Try to distinguish a Spitfire from a Kurfürst in this situation.... Is it so hard to implement an intermediate simple prop OPTION, like a different cockpit option, until the root of this problem is found? It's not a new problem either. No fun flying or having someone fly the Anton in the Normandy in VR. It kills the fun. It's the same with the Yak btw... Fox
