  1. CPU yes. Every bit you can squeeze out of that single core used by DCS adds FPS.
  2. It would be like buying a VW Bug and expecting a Ferrari's performance.
  3. Dude, you've reached the absolute height of British stereotype. Good on ya!!
  4. I'd go for the F-5 as well. Its a flyers jet, as in its not reliant on too many knobs and buttons. The gauges you need to see are large so work well in VR and it has just enough sophistication to keep you interested yet not enough to be overwhelming. Basic bombing and rockets along with sidewinders keep it fun. Take offs are easy and you get to use the chute for landings. Cool jet.
  5. I'm sure it will be amazing as always
  6. In my experience, ABSOLUTELY!!! I mostly fly online with my squad mates.
  7. Always the negative that comes out isn't it.
  8. From what I've seen it'll be a step up from the Rift. That's really all I'm looking for. A better resolution, a wider FOV and hopefully less PD requirements. I'll build the system for it, in fact I'm going to start next week I believe but like dogbite said, this is simply my next VR device. Pimax is an evolution, not a revolution.
  9. Gave me a good laugh. Seriously, that would be an awesome easter egg.
  10. :blow::megalol::megalol:
  11. It lacked feeling to me. Seemed as though it wasn't a story, it was just clips. I did like the angles and ground views. The music made my ears bleed. I had to turn it way down. Still better than I could do.
  12. You may need to press and hold the "ENT" key for 3 seconds. I've been told it will blink but I haven't had time to check it out.
  13. On my X55 I had a 2 deadzone, 98 for the next two (can't remember the name) and a 25 curve. Worked great for AA refueling, carrier traps, formation flying, you name it.
  14. Thanks for this Jar. I appreciate it this time as much as I did the first. I wish the best to you and the Stingers.
  15. Thats a tough bug man!!!
  16. Looks good dude. Thanks yet again!!!!
  17. You should send an email to Milan, I've only calibrated my pedals twice in 2 years. Once when I got them and a second time when I rebuilt my rig.
  18. Dude!!!! Be happy we even got one.
  19. We restart ours for mission changes, skin and mod updates, hardware changes, and various changes due to management decisions on say what you can see in the F10 map or tacan changes to carriers and the like. Its not a lot but ours is dedicated to our group and will never be a public server. I'm sure its not that different for the public ones though.
  20. Me too. I don't even know how many successful traps I have now with a Rift on my head.
  21. They will be welcome additions. I like the direction.
  22. Well gents, you need to look at the reality of PD. I don't know that but a few a currently running 1.0 PD. I personally am at 1.3-1.5 with MSAA. That means I am running a huge amount more resolution than at 1.0. What Pimax will offer with its upgraded resolution is the ability to run at 1.0 PD. That means that I will get the same performance (or close to it) as I do running the Rift at 1.3 - 1.5. There is no inability to run DCS with a Pimax. Given that, I certainly am going to buy the 1180 or whatever its called when it comes out in the next couple months but I would do that anyway. Here's a great thread about DP and resolution from this very site: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=170126
  23. Valid point. I would suggest that the CSG and a few others that are posting here maybe don't fly in the 104th and etc most of the time. I know we in the CSG are self contained having both blue and red squads, its just the way we play. So given that I see what you are saying but I think it safe to say the vast majority of servers would not have any issue at all.
  24. I've never put a deadzone in the rudders. I'll have to give that a try.
