  1. Gotta say, I'm very interested in this product. I've been watching the thread for updates. I don't know what this whole "stole" the idea thing is and I don't care. Either its on the market or its not. You put it out, I'll buy it.
  2. For most its not worth it. A few FPS. If your trying to get every frame out of VR or a triple screen 4K setup then maybe, but even then its a lot of cash for very little. I'm currently building a new system myself and I'm struggling to justify the 4266 Ram. The bonus I see to the higher Mhz in testing (not mine but reviews) is that the low end numbers are higher. So you may only get a few extra FPS on the top end but the bottom end will be say 5-10 FPS higher than 3200. Its a head scratcher.
  3. Well I don't know that I'd slaw slaws are the best. Period. MFG's I would say are as good. The better may be in the minutia that 99% of even we picky guys wouldn't notice. I sit in the I havent used the TM product but I wouldn't buy them until they are proven such as the MFG's and Slaws are. I use TM Warthog HOTAS but now that Virpil and etc are on the market I probably wouldn't buy them again. Once the TM internals were proven to be an issue and the Virpil all metal joystick base wasn't, I quickly changed my mind on TM products. Whatever your choice, I'll look forward to the feedback or the confirmation of MFG's/Slaws dominance. Happy flying.
  4. Sounds like its intermittent. I know its basic but have you taken a good look at the cables? I've had similar issues historically, spent way too much time on software when it was a bad connection.
  5. IF vulcan is implemented it will be beneficial, but I think it unlikely we will see it soon. There are many other topics ED seems to be working on.
  6. Loading times and FPS went up with high number of asset missions in both single and multiplayer. Well worth it for what I do.
  7. I'm pretty sure you and I want the same thing and you misunderstood my post. And hey, my attitude got me this far and life is good, thanks for your concern.
  8. The i7 9700k, i9 if you want multithreading but DCS doesn't support it, goes on sale in a couple weeks. Any 300 series motherboard will handle it. It OC's to 4.9 and 5.0 respectively from my understanding. You'd be better with one of them for the long run. 32GB of Ram for sure, I was rather amazed the difference it made when I installed it. Others will counter this but for me it was noticeable.
  9. I would suggest you stop looking at the minority problems and focus on the majority problems. I also fully understand this statement will be ignored.
  10. Very unfortunately, it was removed. There have been a thousand cries for its or something similar return, but to no avail.
  11. I've never seen the price go up on a module with the exception of after a sale of course. (back to original)
  12. I couldn't be happier with the Hornet. The time it takes ED to implement new systems gives me time to become proficient with the existing. We do a fair amount of AA in our group so the current systems are very welcome. Every-bodies mileage will vary.
  13. Jimblue if you jump on youtube and type in "DCS Hornet Case 1 Recovery" or your other topics you will find video tutorials. Its the best that can be offered right now. Here's a great one from Jabbers. I highly recommend his work: Wags also has a bunch you can check out: Also check "Charlie Owls" work. He has an amazing document that covers how a lot of the systems work. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765 Hope this helps.
  14. I actually fly the Yak on a regular basis. Maybe I'm getting old but its a nostalgia thing to just jump in and look at the old gauges, pump the fuel a few times and crank the prop. Flying is so casual, it actually made me appreciate the work that goes into the maps much more. Cool bird.
  15. I imagine its done by people all the time but landing on the LHA without pedals would be less immersive. I fly the Hornet primarily but I can't help but keep up on landing the Harrier on a moving carrier. Its absolutely amazing. To be honest, the twist will work but the pedals, oh man, the pedals really make it feel like your there.
  16. Its not a DCS issue. Whats your CPU? How much Ram?
  17. SLI has never been supported. I wouldn't hold my breath.
  18. Really he's just the wrong guy to give an opinion on DCS. I was really hoping Jabbers would get one.
  19. Visibility in DCS right now is rather poor. If players can't or won't realize that the zoom view is completely unrealistic there's not much that can be done to help that. Model enlargement was the best thing to come to DCS and I would rather ED works on it than listen to those that don't get it.
  20. I'd love to see functional AI Growlers, but thats the end of the topic for me. Even that, I'd rather Prowlers simply because it would fit the timeline better.
  21. A good set of pedals is a absolutely worth it but if your going to get saiteks or similar, not so much.
  22. I went with the water block for the 1080 founders edition. It would not fit a Ti and yes it does require an extensive installation. As pictured is not the final install but serviceable at the time.
