Just to re-confirm (given the time from my original statement), I very much still want to get this product. I think it'll be a real game changer.

Deadlines and statements of implementation of kinda like soggy cereal in the flight sim world. You want it, it could still be good, but its never what you thought it could be.

I believe ED already said they are aware and looking into it.

Bun, I haven't quite decided yet but I'm probably going to sell my Rift now that I have the Odyssey plus. Its a slightly different experience but no screen door with the O+. I'll have a Pimax soon and the Rift will be gone.

Ill be happy to stick with reality. Mileage will vary.

I assume holding the TDC is functionally accurate. If so, Its what we need to learn to use if we want a study sim. That said, I look forward to their update.

Yep, the Rift is on the shelf. The O+ is in the number 1 spot.

Good HOTAS make a world of difference. I'm torn on the topic because I understand not all can have the good stuff.

Definitely both. I love the complexity of using the advanced AG weapons but then get a craving for AA. Its a problem. Hell, lots of time I just like tanking and carrier traps.

I have a Logitech G13 that would probably work well for that application. Give you a few extra keys to boot.

I ran my Rift on a GTX 780. Not well and with the lowest settings but it did work. I don't recall the FPS.

Got my notification today that mine will be shipped. They provided a survey with it to tell them which version you want and a $100 dollar credit for addon items if you went from the 8K to the 5K product line.

So no experience with the plus. K.

Do you own or have you tried an Odyssey plus? Do you have a Rift?

Well, firstly take a look at my computer specs in my signature. I'm running 1.8 PD with almost max setting. I did the same with the Rift. You don't have screen door. I mean, its clear man. You can read instruments better, you can see further and clearer. No its not a revolution but a very good evolution. The thing I don't like is that with the Rift it seemed you had better peripheral clarity where with the Odyssey you get a clear picture looking forward but its blurred to the sides. Takes a bit to get used to but once you do, its a great upgrade.

Just got an Odyssey. Its definitely better than the Rift. Go with it. As for your keyboard.. Eliminate it, go with DWVAC for voice commands or similar.

Yep, I had a Hercules. Oh the power that thing had man. Not a game I couldn't run.

BitMaster. The worst that can happen is I get a blue screen or it shuts down. I've dealt with this type of thing before and I'll deal with that if it happens. I'm aware that the CPU under load of all cores can cause many more issues but I use the system for DCS alone, 2 cores max.

Well, we all have a choice. Put the time in and get good at it, or don't. Its up to you.

Real pilots know where the switches are. So do VR pilots. We don't have a choice right now and it does make learning hard but once I got onto it, the Harrier was and is one of my favorite aircraft.
