  1. F-5 on CAP, South Vietnam, November 1973 gave it a side vignette to look like a partially undeveloped photo made from this screenshot:
  2. A snap roll after pulling too fast with too much torque. :music_whistling:
  3. same problem, client log attached (converted to .txt for valid attaching). p.s. lots of "this is a bug, you will be punished" going on in there CPU: Intel i7-4790k, 4.0 GHz, Haswell GPU: Zotac GTX-970, 4 GB VRAM (non-amped) RAM: Patriot Viper 3, 8 GB, DDR3 MB: MSI Z97S Krait HDD: unknown company, 1 TB storage space, unknown read/write speed OS: Windows 10 Home Edition x64 dcs.txt
  4. what happens when you play a rhythm game drunk with another person :megalol: warning: some swearing involved [ame] [/ame]
  5. Trojan Horse 2.0
  6. ...no. That's assuming that ED must be in complete partnership with Sukhoi and have all information regarding their aircraft; they don't, of course.
  7. ah, excuse my vagueness, if you don't know the nickname you probably don't know the video. "i'm going to get court-martialled" is probably something else sgat saw before they said it themselves, anyways, i'm not all up to date on stuff like that.
  8. is that from a certain line from (i think) sgat?
  9. By my uneducated understanding of physics, the wing on the lower side will snap first because of the center of gravity pulling slightly to the lower side as that wing dips closer to Earth.
  10. I'm very skeptic about this "flight instructor" stuff, so I have to choose no. I just can't think of how that would work well without a group the user belongs to, or without a friend that they are able to communicate proficiently with. [sarcasm]besides, simming is why we don't have many friends in the first place, we're lame Royal Chair Force geeks who spend thousands of dollars on our vidya gaems, haha...ha...[/sarcasm]
  11. Well, US debt is 19 trillion USD (hopefully i'm not leaning over the line on politics rules) i don't think they care anymore about cost. :P
  12. I've always loved these helicopters. They're agile, look fun to fly, and sound amazing. AH-6 could be as useful as a Huey for CAS missions. MH-6 can be used to transport infantry to places where the Huey or Mi-8 couldn't. OH-6 probably has more information declassified. They are all still in service at the moment. Good wish?
  13. sir/madam, i must inform thee that thy video hath encountered an embedding issue.
  14. one of the best battle themes in an RPG i've heard in a while. [ame] [/ame]
  15. "arghburghghghulrg hagbugab money gulgulg butane fur cigarette" literally, that's all i could decipher
  16. April Fools is two months away. It really doesn't make sense. How could it reel in more people with all of these disadvantages? All it would do is just cause confusion and disappointment. When you buy a product, you (should) know what the product is actually capable of. When it's handed to you without prior explanation, you ask, What am I supposed to do with this? Then you bring it on yourself to assume. The MiG's reputation doesn't hold up for the truth. Short legs and two Cold War era BVR missiles aren't going to help much, if at all. You know that thing with the friendly detection on radar? Doesn't always work. I'll bring myself as an example. Back a long time ago, fresh into DCS and Flaming Cliffs, I didn't like using the English setting for the cockpits. So I locked onto a friendly approaching hot from the enemy side. Thought that the "launch authorized" sign didn't show just because I was out of range by the computer's estimation, so I quickly overrode the launch computer and launched it myself. And yes, it was a kill. It's just going to feel like punishment for being a free-to-play fighter.
  17. this has to be a tradition now.
  18. They can't do anything about eachother, so why bother? ;) Sunset belly landing. Missile launch. Missile vs. missile.
  19. At 5 Panther supporters to 7 Bronco supporters, the Bronco supporters win with an ending score of 10 - 24.
  20. There's no question. They're done for as far as a few minutes left in the last quarter.
  21. Time to predict things. I'm not voting, because I want to see this, not do it. Besides, I haven't done much research on it.
  22. Navy SEAL copypasta, kindergarten edition:
  23. Yes. In the 2.0 alpha, the only map is the payware Nevada. 1.5 essentially has the same amount of features as 2.0, but the map tech for the Black Sea/Caucasus areas dates from around 10-15 years ago. If you can't buy anything, throw away 2.0 off your HDD/SDD as you won't be using it anyways. Hope it helps.
  24. Love you Skate, but really, it is in the mods and apps directory; if there was any confusion made, it would be pretty hard to fall for. Let me bring up the Wings of Russia F-14A, are you saying that it is a waste of time too? Not to mention their F/A-18? I'd like to hear a more elaborate way of your point of view, as what you typed was rather confusing to me. I get your point of view, but as would be obvious, different people have different opinions. "A waste of time" it may be, but to say it in such a blunt way coming from such a highly respected member of the community may really lower the OP's spirits. It's fun to create a simple mod. No, really, it is. :P That's why I believe it is best to let the OP finish his/her work in peace. Yes, it may be considered to be "blinding the OP from a reality check," but what would be the real harm of it? It's also good for the consumer base, as they have something to feed on as an appetizer before they get their meal. (The F-5E mod and the official F-5E, for instance.) In another way of helping the community, a consumer may not have enough money at the time of release, so they quench their "thirst" for the official module with the free mod. It's just plain fun to fly mods, anyways. You get a Standard Flight Model designed for that aircraft, AFAIK. It'll likely keep some of them from complaining less about any release nonsense, as long as it's a good mod. As it is, however, the coding present in the game is not necessarily bug-free on modders ATM, nor are those bugs easy to fix. TL;DR: Let the OP finish/feel successful with their work, don't discourage them. No matter how big a modder's project is, it's best for them to know that they couldn't finish but were able to be proud of how far they got in their project, instead of giving up when they only started.
