It was at this moment he knew...he f'ed up. -
they've been waiting for half a month. and to OP, i think some directories in textures/skins got switched around sometime during the 1.5 era, not sure if you've been gone that long but it could be an issue. after long thought though i think this only affected land textures. if you could link me the mod, that would be great, we can see whether it's your or the mod's issue. :)

they think the RWR texture is too dirty/hard to see if i'm reading that correctly. i understand their point but it's their problem if they can't stand to replace a few files every update. this probably means they also don't bother to make a jsgme directory for ease of installation. removing and putting back in my modified files isn't that hard when there's both backup folders by default after every patch and JSGME at my hands. OP, you say it yourself: "it's not that hard." it's literally a single drag-n-drop, and it's done. all the files in the backups are organized so the modified files are in their parent folders. you only have to drag and drop (or cut and paste) to the main directory and you should be set. or do yourself a favor and download JSGME if you haven't, saved me loads of frustration.

There definitely has to be optimization in that front, I'm guessing two different cpt models for the pilot and RIO.

nice! almost like i'm looking at a copy of beczl and his work in the FC2 age

Catapult failure I still play Fighters Anthology regularly, yet IIRC I've only encountered a random cat failure once. Would be a neat feature, but it might be a good idea to have it as an option so some people won't be annoyed at the fact that they have to ditch on takeoff should one occur.

no. every aircraft mod has a DCS manifest file. these don't pass the int check.
-
The mods you are using fine normally do not interfere with the integrity check. Some mods such as most aircraft mods do; i.e. integrity check looks for certain types of files and sees if they are added or modified in any way.

MYSE1234's Realistic HUD mod

MYSE1234's Realistic HUD mod Looks very nice  -
Well, that just adds to the charm! :D

I have had different opinions, but those were quite a long time ago. It would be nice to have an aircraft with at least some minimal COIN capability, whether that be from field modifications or built into the aircraft before it's sent into war. An AT-802 would be pretty solid, but I'd wager its name has been beaten into this thread plenty by now. Some medium props/turboprops could also be nice for STOL transport and cargo near the battlefield, especially whenever grass runways come into play, like a Skyvan or a Skytruck Another suggestion for a COIN aircraft, the weaponized CriCri :P joking of course!

Would anyone want the CV/MV-22? Hell yeah. Would anyone get the CV/MV-22 in the recent future? Hell no.
-
the onset of structural overload is going to always be much quicker than the onset of G-LOC if you do that kind of stunt.

Late reply, but it works fine for me, with v. 1.02. DirectX 10 supported cards and above will experience problems using the full-shadows mode, where pretty much every aircraft and object is under a shadow or dark overlay.

What?!?! Did we get Su-33 PFM with the latest DCS 2.0 patch?
Harpoon replied to Schmidtfire's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Your install is clean, right? Make sure no mods interfere with the 33's flight dynamics. I know a mod that allows you to perform cobras in SFM fighters like you used to be able to. -
Possibly a Basic variant Su-30 for full fidelity Flanker
Harpoon replied to carss's topic in DCS Core Wish List
FSX is nowhere near this sim as a whole. They likely didn't get any "certification" other than if they used another guy's model or coding. Licensing is usually the first thing a developer will mention on an aircraft if they received licensing (ex. PMDG). I see none of that. FSX developers don't have to go through multiple levels of authorization before even starting the project. The choice of whether or not the aircraft you're seeing in game is realistic enough to buy is at the hands of the user entirely in that realm. Here, you will get shut down by higher ups before even attempting to make profit from an aircraft that essentially sources some vague "official documents" as its center point for realism. Weapons used that were previously unused would also need to have a flight model of sorts either implemented or tweaked. FSX's flight modelling is from the early 2000s without the use of third-party plugins. Current flight modelling in DCS is continually evolving. Now, as a mod? Sure, I don't think anyone would stop that from happening. Hell, there's a very well done PAK FA being developed at an alarmingly fast rate by cubanace, and to be honest, I don't give a crap how realistic it is, it's free. That's where the issue comes into view with payware models. You expect quality to meet the price point. Or exceed it, in some circumstances. There should be enough detail to meet the price point and if that detail is there, it should be just as it is in the real thing. Case-in-point when it comes to failure to produce quality that meets quantity, Abacus A380 for FS2004 and FSX. They actually charged money for this. (they still do at $15). I've seen dozens of freeware aircraft better than this. We should probably stop or take a turn from here, FSX shouldn't really be discussed in this level on the wishlist sub-forum. tl;dr There is no comparison of DCS and FSX aircraft when referring to the level of quality actually needed on a project before being able to earn profit from it. It's useless to try to make a payware Su-30 to excellent detail, let alone ask for permission. -
Very well done job on the reticle, it's as if i'm looking into a real sight! :D I wonder if coding is possible to add a smoother transition to a dimmer reticle as you shift away from the focus of the reticle, instead of a simple cut-off point. Like so: [YOUTUBE]G7KvpWloagE
