  1. Oh my! Yes! And if I may go one step further and add to the NATO list: Breguet Atlantique, Breguet Alize, EE Canberra T.17 and PR.9, HP Victor K2, Vickers VC10 K1, L1011 Tristar K1, Avro Vulcan B.2/K.1, HS Nimrod MR1/2, the God like Avro Shackleton AEW 2, Dassault Mirage III/IV, Lockheed C-141, Saab 32 Lansen, Saab 35 Draken, RAF Phantom FG1/FGR2, USAF RF-4E ( so missing on the Germany map), CF-100 Canuck, amongst many others... Edit: NATO P2V Neptune! And... AN-2, AN-22, AN-124, IL-14, IL-20, Tu-134, and more TU-95 variants for the Warsaw Pact.
  2. To recreate Rolling Thunder accurately, make sure you have the F-105D Thunderchief (Thud) in your mods, and be sure to lose a lot of them
  3. Hey Flappie, thank you very much for the update. Good news for sure.
  4. Hey Flappie, is there any fix planned for this ILS issue? It has been some time since the error was originally reported, and it remains present on the map. Edit: Looking for an alternative to Bodo due to gubbed ILS, I noticed Andoya's RWY14 ILS is missing... Alta's ILS for RWY's 11 & 29 are gubbed/missing. This is kinda concerning, ED/Orbyx. The map has been available for a while now, and these are likely minor fixes.
  5. I have always wondered, quietly to myself, how ED knows if the model is high fidelity or not? If ED already has all the information to benchmark a potential model by, why doesn't ED itself hire a shedload of creators and release every aircraft known to man? Unless I am acting extremely naive, which I do admit to being from time to time... I sit and await an education.
  6. I think the AI creators would do all of us a great turn by creating some dedicated Cold War "packs" for the major NATO and Warsaw Pact countries.
  7. Superb, thank you so, so much for bringing us the PussCat.
  8. Ooooh! Holy hanna! Hey, thank you for posting this. I have not come across this variant before.
  9. I think you may be thinking of the 2K22 Tunguska.
  10. Oban, real life always takes priority. This is wonderful news regarding the Lynx. Thank you very much for all the work you do.
  11. Thank you, Dali, for posting and keeping us non Discord server folk in the loop.
  12. I have recently installed it and it appears to be working on the latest patch...
  13. +1 for the Lynx.
  14. Hate to ask... But is there any news, updates? Is this mod still being worked on?
  15. TeTet, in all honesty, a Voodoo is a Voodoo. The 101B being such a rare aircraft, I think it's fantastic that we will have it in DCS, so thank you very much. Great news to hear that the 101C is being worked on by another group. We are all being spoiled. Thank you for your reply
  16. That's a shame, please excuse me for being something of a "rivet counter" but the variant used during the Vietnam War was the RF-101C. The RF-101B didn't see service during the Vietnam War, as they entered service too late (early 1970's) to participate. But, a Voodoo is a Voodoo, and very grateful I am for any AI additions to DCS.
  17. I agree with everything you have said here. Regarding the SHAR, the Blue Vixen (FA.2) is most definitely still under tight wraps, that's for sure, and as you say, the RWR would be problematic; likewise for the Tornado GR, the Sky Shadow pod, etc. The Lightning, Sea Vixen, Buccaneer, Hunter, Jaguar, and Harrier Gr.1/3, in my opinion, would be fair enough game for DCS, based on the amount of information that is available, more than enough for a DCS FF module. But, wouldn't it be a perfect DCS world if all these and more were available as AI assets? Hint, Hint, CH.
  18. When the F-86 was released, it was way out of its depth DCS wise, then the Mig-15 came along. We had the Mig-19, also very limited. The Harrier Gr.1, Gr3 were vastly different from the AV-8B. The Gr.9 was in a class of its own compared to the AV-8B and would certainly have a place in DCS. The FRS.2 would also be a very competitive airframe. The Tornado in development is the German IDS, a very different beast to the Tornado Gr. 1, 1a,1b, and would require a lot of imagination to pass it off as an RAF aircraft. The Bucc is a superb prospect, one that I am surprised hasn't been picked up. The Hunter is in the league of the F-86/Mig-15, it certainly has a place. The Sea Vixen and Lightning would also be strong contenders, in my opinion, given the growing trend for 60's era aircraft. As RB are now sitting in their corner and withholding their toys, the opportunity is there for someone to pick up on the Harrier, etc. Regarding the PvE/PvP statement, I am unfamiliar with PvP as it does not interest me. PvE is a different matter; in PvE, the older aircraft have massive potential (Kola and Germany Map), so it's somewhat ignorant to say they don't. If the argument that older aircraft with early weaponry are non viable, then surely the C-101CC, L-39ZA, Mig-15, Mig-21, F-86, F-5E, etc, have no place in DCS? Why are we waiting for a C-130? The Mig-29A, a VERY limited aircraft, is literally just around the corner. The A-1E Skyraider is in dev, the F-104 also in dev, the OV-10 Bronco by Split Air has a decent following... PvP and PvE non starters by your definition.
  19. "We don't have a single British jet, even old stuff, as the British government simply doesn't grant access to that stuff. Both the Typhoon and Tornado we are getting are German aircraft. " Whilst the British Government may not release information, there is more than enough information available in the public domain. A potential developer would only have to contact museums (ala Tangmere Aviation Museum, which I used to volunteer for) or such organisations as the LPG or BPG, who have restored and "run" older aircraft such as the Lightning and Buccaneer, for unrivalled access to their libraries of Aircraft APs. As a former Buccaneer part owner/operator in the UK, we had in our possession every AP regarding the aircraft. We would have been more than happy to assist with a potential Simulation project. Stating that the British Government does not release the required information is somewhat moot. Whilst this sounds as though I am on something of a crusade, there really is no excuse for British aircraft of 50's/60's (Hunter, Sea Vixen, Buccaneer, Lightning, etc) and even 70's/80's (Jaguar Gr.1/T2, Tornado Gr.1/1a/1b perhaps even early F.3) era to be precluded from DCS as a high fidelity model. My question is... Where's the Recce capability? However, that's straying from the thread.
