How accurate do you think the bomb frag are compared to real life in this sim...? Is it that close to the frag pattern IRL? That a few knots will put you in the frag? Immersion.... for you maybe, not for us mere mortals that have not flown the A-10C. This is just ammo for the kids here and for you to try and get your way lol. It would take more than one SME I think. If your flying and dropping IRL bombs and evading IRL strela's maybe.... I still would like to know how accurate the real A-10C sim's are compared to IRL and or DCS. You can possibly tell us.

I usually just delete the things in the FXO and metashaders2 folders within the Saved Games folder with each update. Hi mbott, SzuszuPL Welcome to the forum. While it's good to download and take a look at other profiles, which I also have done in the past. I ended up creating my own setup based on the real controls, look at other profiles and where they are and the controls I have at the time. I recommend you down load the A10-C guide here and look at the real controls in that guide. Then print out a picture of your controls and write down what you think you want and where....Have a play with it. It's important long term to get this right for YOU, as it will become muscle memory. It's difficult for it to become second nature if you keep changing the keys. Saitek X52 reg / pro Profile Template Also add one button on the throttle to DCS as a modifier button. This button will only be a modifier and nothing else now. The A-130 and tankers would fit very well into MP and SP for logistics support roles. The AC-130 Gunship would create a game within itself, online and off. That mission in Call of Duty 4 was very cool and there is millions of people that possibly... would very much like to play a full SP or Dynamic campaign using the AC-130. We can also do co-op and throw in the A-10C like it is IRL.

At the moment with DCS more Ghz bound for now. Go for AMD or Intel above 4+ Ghz 6 core cpu. I would not go under an RTX 2070 super @ 1440P or VR for DCS with high settings MSAA x 2, It eats FPS at 4x. That's for 1440p monitor. You will need to drop a few setting for VR to hold 45 fps. I still run a 1080ti and 4 core cpu, not upgrading yet. Yo-Yo can only go so far manipulating the equations to "fit" ALL the pilots and that did work on the A-10c PLUS hit the charts closely as an engineer. It's sort of like a race car driver explaining what he needs to an engineer out of the car. It should do this out of the corner etc. Yo-Yo then has to look at the complete model and think where would this be? Without destroying what's already correct with feel and charts. Very hard to get that last 3 to 5% without messing up the spiderweb.

My guess is that they have a contract with Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group and an OK from Beijing. Otherwise they would have been reeducated already lol. Except you cannot get Yo-Yo to reverse engineer a feeling.;) It's Engineer vs Pilot. Not so much the chart. ED and parties build the aircraft piece by piece to makeup the model for the FM. If it's correct it should closely match the charts. It does. All the aircraft are reversed engineered first. They do get feed from pilots back as the model is made. They still cannot get away from the design and physics. Yo-Yo will not play with the spiderweb of equations based on those feelings. He wouldn't no where to start. Will the A-10C be perfect? No, If you want that last 3% you need to fly the real thing and have all the variations of the real thing too.

One of ED's / former BelSimTek's D level simulations. From the pilots I've talk to. The A-10C would be a step up from some of the flight test type rating sims they have used lol. Not sure about the military side, from what I've seen the graphics is certainly better.:) They do use DCS at the Air Force ROTC for training.

This all comes down to HOW accurate is the A-10C? (Never enough right and never will be) We always have had someone saying "This pilot said" and always will. The A-10C is accurate enough across the spiderweb of equations that make up it's FM and for it to hit 97 to 99% of the chart numbers. That 1 to 3% would take ED years to get and possibly impossible. Is the A-10C good enough or possibly better in many area's then most D level sims? Could this be use as a D level trainer IRL?

Why not use ICLS like they do IRL to help out starting the groove. Just use long enough in the groove until you pickup the ball etc. That's what I do anyway. Most of the time you don't need it if your at the correct groove length etc.

It should work, as long as there is an ammo truck and fuel truck on the farp. Edit. Quick test shows it works with the ATZ-10 Fuel truck with the chopper running or not. Does not work with the ATMZ-5 Fuel Truck. The missions possibly have these trucks in them? Should they be able to refuel the Ka-50? Guess so...? Otherwise the missions will need to be updated with the ATZ-10.

The install is as simple as copy and paste. (Make an external backup or simply move your new SSD to the new pc with DCS on it and done) As long as you don't care about all the "proper win links". It's also a ram issue Laer. DCS use a lot of ram + what windows needs. So 16 in my book is absolute minimum here. Otherwise it's using the hard drive and system page file more and more. This needs to be minimized as much as you can for large high rez graphic files like DCS has. Load times will be much MUCH quicker to. Definitely an SSD (This will speed up load times and help with all the sim's you use) Look at bumping your ram up a little when possible too.

Why all the partitions? Never done it. Even on standalone drives....What for? For a large company network / perhaps. I've done this every PC build not a problem. No need to make this difficult. I have dcs backed up on an external drive. Build new pc or install new drive. Copy DCS to C: D: F: G: whatever you want. Copy links (Right click (Send to ---> desktop Create shortcut)) from the bin folder. DCS.exe or and DCS_Updater.exe These are the new links to run the game now. DCS.exe will launch game and not look for updates using this link. Also backup and copy back the save games folder (Control configs) C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta You can have as many installs as you like(Copy and paste) anywhere you like as long as you have the room. EACH install will launch from it's own BIN folder links. you can change any of these installs to any version of DCS using the windows command prompt or with SkateZilla's tool

System spec would help. Ram 16gb (minimum) SSD drive a must. dcs preload radius. try changing this. I have it maxed out, running 32 gb ram. A mechanical drive can do this if using a page file etc. Updated lately? Try deleting the stuff in the FXO and metashaders2 folders. DCS will rebuild these when you play next time. C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta -->FXO Updated GPU drivers? Do a driver clean or rollback to the one's you had that worked etc. More ram and get an SSD. Even an SSD will help here a lot, ram would be good to tho (set your windows page file to the ssd) very easy upgrade. Just add the drive to your system and copy the DCS folders to that drive, grab the links from the bin folder and done. No need to reinstall, I have backups of DCS on external drives etc.

Also try connecting by IP at the top right. Some servers list the address in the instructions. It will remember your last server IP address and auto fill.

That's why I'm holding onto my setup for another year or so.... Same with the GPU.... Wait till all this different hardware matures, including DCS. The last of the 7th gen with a well matured Asus board, that hasn't miss a beat (touch wood) after setting it all up. I don't think these new cpu chips would make a real big difference with DCS then the 7700 - 4 core, running the same GPU. I also record, multiplayer and watch video's on YouTube when flying no probs. Max settings with fps locked at 60 and hold 60 with large missions etc.
