I've been flying BFM recently, and it seems like the AI is practically unbeatable on any setting (rookie to ace). Is there something wrong with it?
-
The F-15 was designed with dogfighting and BVR in mind. They wanted it to be a monster across the whole spectrum of air-to-air combat. That's why it has big wings, powerful engines, a high bubble canopy, and an internal gun.

I've been testing the "turn&burn" capabilities of the DCS Strike Eagle, and I'm surprised by it's lack of flight performance compared to the DCS:F-15C. I never thought an F-14 could easily get on and stay on its tail...
-
Last I read, only the F-15EX has true FBW.

Here's Red Air!

Notice the vortices coming off the top front corners of the inlets and the condensation from the vacuum created over the wings? This effect would probably be uniform on all F-15's in the right weather conditions.

NTTR MAP WRONG WEIRD TEXTURE COLOR TINT
mytai01 replied to GumidekCZ's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
I just flew into Vegas. I'm literally now waiting for a flight to Portland. Most of the terrain looks light brown with some areas sand. There's a lot of variation in brown, sand, and dark brown. The DCS map looks way too yellow. Real life look grey/brown overall. -
It seems to me that these two AI aircraft are a bit overpowered, and or don't bleed airspeed enough. A clean F-15 with almost no fuel can't seem to hang with them. Seems strange since I have better wing loading and better thrust to weight ratio. I should be able to outmaneuver and out accelerate them both.
-
It seems fixed now...It was that the gear animation didn't raise the gear, but the logic acted like they were gone.
-
I describe it as winking off, but that just me...
-
Is there a list of yet to complete features for the DCS: F-16?
-
I've only seen the wing root lights flash like this on the new F-15EX. All the F-15A-E wing root lights flash like the wing tip nav lights currently do.

I won the campaign, however, the congratulatory message at the end swore at me! It called me a "soldier!" It should have called me, "Airman!" That's how all Air Force personnel are properly addressed in a generic manner. "Soldiers" are in the Army... "Sailors" in the Navy, and "Marines" are in the Marine Corp.

I noticed that airfield objects would only appear in one eye (HP Reverb G2) depending on head movement. At least on Nelis.
-
Well, if that was the reason then other modules would have been the same way, but that isn't so. It's obviously just their choice.
-
I forgot to mention that I have bleed air off as I'm checking difference. It's still pretty quiet with the canopy open as it is with it down.
-
I don't hear any difference with the canopy open or close when the engines are running. It's just as quiet with the canopy open...

I believe, C.W. Lemoine has said something about having too much drag from the wing pylons, and that it was pretty good without the pylons.
-
I noticed that there are none of the finishing touches on the F-14, like load screen pictures, the manual, and such. Seems like things aren't done. Are there ever going to be any of these things?
-
I was wondering if the Flight model is going to get anymore attention? I'm hearing real fighter pilots of these jets complaining about excessive drag issues on the DCS: F-16 and F/A-18. Especially, in clean configuration.
-
Main landing gear animation not working to retract gear.
-
It seems the head position in the cockpit changes all the time, especially, when I change views. I'm always having to hit the KP5 key to get it back to the right position. I have a HP Reverb G2, with the room lights on.
-
I actually didn't try to reset it. I just started it...
