  1. No, I boltered and went around. No way I ever dropped below 40 KTS, I wouldn't have been able to take off again I guess... ED probably knows their Case III departure picture to be wrong, as in their text above the pic in the SC Guide, they also write: "Following the launch, climb straight ahead at 300 KIAS, crossing 5 nautical miles from the carrier at 1500 feet AGL or above." And in fact if you look at AI Case III launches, they also don't do clearing turns. I understand, but maybe you can set the TACAN distance as a trigger? Other recent F-18 campaigns did the same feature flawlessly, "release" message came exactly at 7 NM TACAN distance. But it's not that big problem after all...
  2. Hi Badger, some small things just FYI: At least on Mission 5(?) (wondering if on others too) mission is declared "completed" as soon as you touch the deck, even if you bolter and have to go around. Case III departures do not have any clearing turn (as shown on the kneeboard graphic), just climb straight ahead (on BRC), crossing 5 NM at or above 1500 feet. On Case I departures, messages triggered by crossing 7 NM come way too late, sometimes even beyond 8 NM. Just a feedback...
  3. Sorry, I guess I mixed up something. I also set GSPD to 410, maybe that threw me off...
  4. I will too fly again, and let you know. And I guess if you stay back a little more, it can not happen. Judt doesnt look that cool .
  5. Hi Badger, as the title says. Am I doing something wrong?
  6. Hay Badger, they ram me when turning in arrow too. Watch the end of the attached TacView file. Tacview-20240818-171536-DCS-SYRIA M2 IT IS TAKEN AS RED.zip.acmi
  7. Yeah, but by the time I could have switched I did not have enough fuel, and the other tanker was far away from me, cause I followed my tanker in the opposite direction. As you wished, TacView file attached. Tacview-20240817-150207-DCS-Mission 15.zip.acmi
  8. Hi There, I chose the riskier return, but Jaguar 2 (who was supposed to wait for their own tanker at BE according to radio commands) hooked up on Texaco 3 (meant for Jaguar 3) instead, and stayed on the basket for 23 minutes flying around in tow, until I starved on gas and had to eject. I dunno if there was any gas left in Texaco 3, or what was the reason Jaguar 2-1 did not disconnect earlier. If you could fix it (if validated), please...
  9. Another weird thing - I know not your fault - the rain effect on the canopy was just as blurry at 190 kts, as it would be standing on the carrier. Totally unrealistic, as the wind blows off all water already at any speed that keeps any aircraft airborne...
  10. Yeah, it is rarely needed, but especially on those rare occasions you REALLY need it. I overrun the tanker 3 times in the clouds, meaning IMC, until I could find him again using the HSI, join and refuel starting from 600 pounds. I was sweating bullets by then, needless to say... In retrospect, probably should have used half flaps...
  11. Hi There, as the title says. It is freaking difficult to refuel at that speed... Thanks for looking at it maybe...
  12. ...and that's why the off SA page I mentioned earlier makes M12 a pretty difficult problem for me at least . Altough I did not go back and try again, but I'm pretty certain the SA page was wrong also after being airborne. But will test it again for sure. THanks for your reply.
  13. Hi There, as the title says. D/L is on, but at any time in the mission, no any enemy called out by the AWACS ever appears on SA page as a D/L contact. If it is a feature (due to low alt?), then sorry, if not, why is it so? Or is it user error?
  14. In M12, still on the carrier if I look at the SA page, the TDC BE position in the upper left corner seems to be totally off in relation to the Bullseye shown. TDC being on the left edge of the SA page, it shows BE 236/9.1, but the Bullseye is about 130 NM away on the opposite edge of the SA page. So it should show approx. 200/130 from Bullseye, shouldn't it? What am I missing?
  15. "...if you take off without adjusting the trim,..." But you know if you take off from a carrier, TRIM Reset is not enought, you have to adjust the trim to your takeoff weight, resulting in trim setting somewhere between 16 ad 19?...
  16. Goggles refer to NVG, so has nothing to do with HMD. Just mentioning, because you marked that particular answer as solution...
  17. Only ECHO 19 sound mod (DCS general and Hornet specific) comes to my mind...
  18. It happened in fact twice I guess, have TacView from the other occasion, if you think it helps, I can send the other TacView file too.
  19. Oh, maybe I missed it? But if you look at the attached TacView, the helo acts sooo weird all the way... Then I did not have enough patience, so I quit the mission... Oh, by the way, the wind is horribly strong, I dunno if this made the helo act like it did... Tacview-20240729-201354-DCS-Mission 11.zip.acmi
  20. After destroying armour, nothing happens. Helo crabs very much while inbound, but I guess it never made to the crash site, then flew away, crabbing even more. Please advise...
  21. Hi There, M9 is simply brutal... Or am I just too pessimistic?...
  22. Hi There, I hope it's not just me, but (I guess) in Mission 9 the Rockeyes don't work at all (not opening, no any effect on impact), as there is no height that can be set in the new fuze system (only arming delay). But CBU does have burst height, so can you maybe consider changing RE to CBU? Or could we users change it in ME maybe, just for that single mission? Or could you upload a mission version with CBU, to enable that mission until ED fixes the Rockeye? Fix was promised by ED, but recently I'm a bit reluctant to trust such promises. Thanks a lot !
  23. You probably meant SCS?...
