Gents, I'm a bit confused whether there is any default factory detent(s) on the stock Orion 2 throttle base? Or you only get any detent if you buy the finger lift kit extra? Thanks

An easy workaround until better/official solution arrives, not saying anyone is right or wrong... This way the extremes of the range will still enable the "original" faster speed for SA, while the inner shallower parts slows down the too fast cursor speed for the FCR for "fine" sorting, but you still can use range or azimuth bump by yanking TDC stick to the edge. Adjust the initial steepness ("center sensitivity") and the point of transition arc with the sliders as you see it fit for your own taste...

Good idea from ED to schedule the release of the latest (and pretty big) patch and a brand new map to the very same moment in time. They probably didn't see this coming, right?

Did you switch HMD on at all with the rheostat in a first place, on the right bottom corner of the instruent panel?

Sorry to be late to the party, and sorry to say it too, but I see rather your head position being off to the right side, throughout the whole pattern. Almost aligned with the right edge of the HUD, no wonder you see the whole HUD symbology being off to the right, but it has not much to do with the wind I guess...

Go into your Settings, Controls, choose Axis command from the scroll down menu just right of choosen type "FA-18C", then in the Axis commands, scroll down to where the joystick is shown (Roll and Bank Axis). Wobble your joystick back and forth to see in the Pitch (Y) axis the little white lines to extend left and right then retract to center when you let the joystick go. If you see even just a tiny bit of white line on either side off center, then the system feels your joystick being off center. Dunno what joystick do you have, but you either need to recalibrate it for the center to be really in center, and/or increase the dead zone setting until there is zero white line visible in neutral position. To adjust deadzone, RIGHT click on the cell in the joystick column and Pitch axis line, and choose "Tune combo axis". Find "dead zone" slider and increase it a bit with the mouse or with keypad left or right arrow after clicking on the slider button to highlight it.

In the Docs Download section of ED homepage, the Viper manual is a bit old atm (last update was around March and this one is from January iirc) . Any other place for the up-to-date manual to download (I'm not at my own PC with the manual in the Doc directory, hence the question)...

If you mean the helos, aren't they even more perfect at 3000 feet?... Unless I misunderstood something, apologies then...

Maybe if they would also not fly straight and level at 3000 feet, rather contour or NOE?... Just speculating...

Just had the same thing. The lead helo gets shot up, turns around and flies back. The other one goes to the next waypoint I guess, and it loiters there round and around until you just quit the mission. And the helos are flying at lousy 46 KTS.

I might mix up some things, but isn't there a "SET" button to store some settings for at least the RWS mode?

No STT, but you can't undesignate it, even if you switch off A/A mode. So if you fly behind lead, you will L&S him no matter what.

Just finished a group mission, and everybody experienced like in TWS the radar will lock up something even if you don't even touch it. And you can not undesignate it. And if you Reset, it goes back to lock something, as if it were ACM mode... Track file too long after a 2 hour MP session, but hope someone can second this with a track file...
