  1. To find the proper vertical seat position, look at the mechanical crosshair on the top right of the HUD, and lower your seat, until the pipper on the far part of the HUD are aligned horizontally, in other words until the crosshair is on the same height as the pipper. On all the above pictures you are sitting too high.
  2. Set the TACAN course to BRC, but don't use the TACAN to measure perpendicular distance from the boat, as it will only show the value you are looking for accurately, when you are abeam of the boat. Instead, put the HSI in the AMPCD between your legs, then you can see the paralell/offset distance of your downwind leg from the boat's "axis" in the bottom right corner of the HSI. Don't put the HSI to the left DDI, as the advisory line will obstruct the distance value.
  3. Sorry to chime in in an old topic, but anyone knows if the A-10C II training missions are dealing with the new HMCS features and the corresponding changes in the HOTAS functions? Thanks.

Press Undesignate, or if in GUN mode, select another weapon.

What do you mean by "select"?
  6. No, WMR will be fine, since Open XR became native. And you do not have to extra download OPEN XR Tools app either, just if you fancy dicking around even more.
  7. \ is the default key for the COMMS menu, that only works on the ground.
  8. I suggest you use the "User curve" setting. Start at 0 for the left most band, and increase the value band by band by 2 (or 3 on my attachment) as you go step by step to the right. The last slider (on the right) should be on 100%, and the next to last one should be tried and set with the slider so that the curve is smooth where it bends upwards. If still not enough "dampened", try 2 for increment (0, 2, 4, etc.) instead of 3, like on my pic below. By the way you don't have to fiddle around with the sliders, you can click into the fields below and write in the numbers with the keyboard directly. With this method you maximize the length of shallow part, but on the edges of the movement range you still can achieve maximum/original slew speed for both the FCR as well as on the SA page, for quick/coarse slew. You can play with the deadzone too, with a Deadzone of "1" I just wanted to avoid the cursor being moved inadvertantly when depressing TDC to designate something. If it's not enough, you can try 2 or 3. (However I do have the TDC slew upgrade on my TM HW Throttle ( click here to see ), not the pretty much useless original "nipple"...) Setting 20 for deadzone seems a bit overkill for me, you pretty much loose the rather fine middle part of the TDC movement in my opinion.
  9. Re-flew it, now it was all OK. Still don't know what could have triggered it in the previous attempt...
  10. Oh... I forgot to save it. But TacView doesn't show any weapon employment, nor any target destroyed at that time...
  11. Unless I'm doing something wrong, it crashes my latest DCS OB...
  12. Mission 9: while in orbit, trying to locate friendlies' position, out of nowhere JTAC comes up and says "Good job shacking that bunker!". Uhhh... what?...
  13. Mission 6 Base altitude on the pdf doc is 9 000, on the kneeboard 10 000. Push time: kneeboard :20, Briefing text 15:40, pdf doc :40. Hope this helps.
  14. Hay Sedlo, just found this "official" channel for campaign feedback. In Mission 5 "Rescue", based of the TacView review, of all the Tomahawks launched, 7 missiles never go anywhere, just loitering in circles over the sea all the way until I land back on the boat. If it was intentional, then disregard. Thanks for your work nonetheless !
  15. I can not select a Build in a first place. It seems it couldn't find any:
  16. I guess that is the max, but I guess the bottleneck is, how "fast" (lbs/minute) the receivers can take fuel...
  17. Using a shrinked "standard" kneeboard (I surmise), are you sure the fonts would be big enough to read them?
  18. Yeah, good call, thanks
  19. Oh and Stennis doesn't seem to have any landing strip lights on, at least when returning at the end of Mission 4.
  20. Anybody can look up this Growler Jams video showing a real life refuel. The totalizer (left DDI top left corner group, top row) starts winding up after contact from 12470 lbs at 1:17, and ends up showing 19160 at 10:40. The so it took 9 min 33 sec to take up 6690 pounds. Divide the 6690 by 9,5 gives you about 700 lbs per minute offload rate. I know it is a Rhino, but I don't think the difference between a Rhino and a Hornet would be astronomical, and even less chance the older Hornet would be the better one..
  21. Nope, it was M4 Retribution. Also, there is a green rectangle visible inside the fuselage of all Hercules. All program mods off, VR. See images. Green and yellow wands invisible, Herc rectangle. Hope this helps. Also, in the briefing, TGT is a command bunker, on the kneeboard TGT is an "ammo dump edge of town". See Briefing text in front and kneeboard in the background on the same picture.
  22. As I can remember, wands were missing in all missions from the beginning, even before 2.9 update.
