Not sure I understand what you mean...
-
Make sure you try it in the Throttle column in the first place. And you can only assign it to an analog stick axis (and not to a 4-way switch), if you choose Axis commands. On the TM Throttle, only the nipple under your middle finger will be the only analog axis there to assign it to.

Just like Wasp said it. Also refer to as "corner speed". It is somewhere around 360-380-ish kts for the Hornet depending on weight and altitude. And you only pull the stick so much as to "sustain" this speed, nowhere near "max stick deflection", because max deflection is only to see the instantenious turn rate, but you can not SUSTAIN it. When at corner speed, if you see your speed going up, pull the stick a bit more, if you start slow down below that, release the stick a bit until speed catches back up. THis way you can have max turn rate "all day long" (until running out of gas of course realistically). Anywhere faster, and your turn rate will be lower because of G limit, anywhere slower and you will not be able to pull and SUSTAIN max G.

You can set if you want it to be displayed in the front of your right eye, or left or both (I guess). Guess in Options/Special/F-18 or something similar.

Which recovery type do you try to train, Case I, II or III? "Established" is for Case III only I guess.

Axis binding for NVG Gain
Razor18 replied to SickSidewinder9's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
No axis command for that. For keypress, choose Search (in controls) from the left side and type "gain". -

How can an Xbox controller add any input to any axis that is assigned to another controller (likely a joystick)? -

Does joystick center position has any effect on yaw (unless you have a twist joystick)? -

Turn around 180 degree. If the FPM swings out to the other side, it is the side wind. -

Side wind?... -
If you haven't tried already, you might try to play with adjusting Zoom and POV positions back and forth, using NP / and * keys for zoom (I guess), and RShft+RCtrl+ NP / and * for POV position. I would try to pull back "my seat" first, which will make the HUD picture (being constant size at infinity) fill up the visually decreased HUD frame size more, then zoom in to your liking.

Cursor Slewing on AGM 65 Weapon Page

A simple search for "slew" in the F-16 topic will find this: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/318374-cursor-slewing-on-agm-65-weapon-page/#comment-5142835 -

Orion 2 throttle will not move in cold and dark startup
Razor18 replied to FJR Pilot's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
...and if it is there by default, then it's better to move it up and back down again, so DCS kinda "wakes up" and recognizes the hardware is there. Weird, but it is what it is... -
Go into Options/Controls menu, select Axis commands, and look up the roll axis. Move your stick a bit then let it go. If DCS feels your stick is really centered, you should not see any small white line going out from the middle in either direction on the axis, after you released the stick to center itself.

Mission 1 kneeboard
Razor18 replied to Pyrocumulous's topic in DCS: A-10C Operation Agile Spear Campaign
I had no problem with rearming twice (maybe even 3 times?) at Senaki (the closer one to the action). Did you open your canopy when issued request to rearm? To be honest I had to even shut down for repair, so not sure if you also have to open canopy for rearming only, but I'm quite sure. -
What is your experience, what is the fuel flow figure just before AB engages? Just curious why the difference between the two methods? To make it a bit more complicated, I have slightly different values just before the AB lights up (with the throttle going up) compared to when AB flame extinguishes (pulling it back out of burner). For me it seemed like at the point when you (going up) have reached the RPM% 100, the fuel flow is also about 100 lbs/h (meaning 10000 of course). If you push up more, FF jumps way up, but when you pull it back from that point, the reduction of FF is rather linear, which for me tells it is about the sweet spot. Just my 2 cent, not arguing.

There is a ton of very useful videos about this topic (among others). Their lengths of over 10 minutes shows how complex this stuff is, I'm not sure learning it by coming back always asking the next question here is an effective or fast way to learn it. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=f18+case+1+ I suggest you pick one and watch it. You can stop it anytime and watch as many times as you deem necessary. But you always take off with half flap and always land with full flaps. Flaps should be opened under 250 kts, even though there is protection against flap overspeed.

need track replay F-18 Comms Menu works "off and on"
Razor18 replied to CyberJohnny's topic in Bugs and Problems
Comms menu only works while on the ground. In the air you need to use the two radios specifically with the Comm1 and Comm2 radio menus. Sorry if irrelevant here. Though I never used Easya comms, dunno if different in that case. -
On page 90-91 the numbering of the collective button functions are borked. Nr 2. is instead 15., then continues with 3 and so all numbers are 1 number offset from the numbers on the picture labels. Just saying.

Aligning AB detent and Throttle Calibration (How to)
Razor18 replied to MustangSally's topic in Winwing
When you calibrated, you did NOT go all the way into OFF, right? First you need to pull to Idle and click OK, then calibration move 3 times between Idle and MAX (all the way to end of AB), then separate AB detent callibraton goes from IDLE to MIL. For me, Idle is 65535. -
Aligning AB detent and Throttle Calibration (How to)
Razor18 replied to MustangSally's topic in Winwing
I mount my AB detent on the Orion 2 to full forward position. I go in game and test, at which throttle position on the Orion does the F-18C AB light up in game. It happens before my throttles even hit the detent. SimApp reading is 11300 at the Orion AB detent, but AB lights up in game at 16400 So I should rather pull back the detent a bit, shouldn't I? I'm not sure I understand how the AB can/should be set in SimAppPro, as I do not see any change, whichever value I set and activate there. The light blue lines showing the throttle position goes up and down just the same. What am I missing? Thanks !
