I'm also stuck exactly here... I dunno if the TacView helps any, but it looks like Spear flights weapons were on target but no effect? AAAs are still active after Spear strike... Tacview-20240525-153357-DCS-9 - The Oil Business - Part 3.zip.acmi

Can someone help me on the carrier landing
Razor18 replied to SUHANG's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Descent at touchdown should be no more than rather 700 feet/min. And if you are not overweight, AND fly the ball, it keeps it usually around or under 700 feet/min. -
Yup... must be something in my system (have a ton of campaigns, never had this problem before). Already dealilng with customer support, but what they suggested u to now did not work out...

Hi There, After installing (new campaign folder is indeed there among the older campaign folders) Green Line doesn't show up on the Campaigns/F-18 tab. Support had me delete everything from Saved Game/...../Mods folder, cleanup, repair and reinstall, but to no avail. Anyone else has this problem? Thanks

Can the CBUs still burst up properly only at 1500 feet? Any solution for that being really variable any time soon?

Is Easy Comms on by default (cant see all comm menu items), or am I missing something? -
I think you have to set up any jet newly spawned, but why not just launch again with the same jet already set up?...
-
Based on the BIT screen still blinking on your right DDI, you might have made a bit of a rather hasty startup?...

You can check whether your joystick is offset from dead center, if you go into Controls, choose Axis command, and look at the pitch axis in the joystick column. If you move the joystick fwd and back you can see the white lines moving accordingly. In center position there should be no white line be visible, meaning dead center. If you let go of your joystick, but you can still see a tiny little part of the white line being visible left or right, then your joystick is not centered for the game, even if you think your joystick is phisically in the middle, because you do not touch it. And it is easier to set a Deadzone of 1 or 2 in the Curve setting window of DCS, this will make the tiny little white line go away. Try to find the minimum deadzone though, for obvious reasons.

How to set the main default cockpit view in the F18?
Razor18 replied to maverick90's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
RSHFT+RCTRL + NP Arrows move it up down left right, and RSHFT+RCTRL + NP/* move it FWD and back. Then save it with AltGr + NP 0. The proper vertical POV height is when, in the top right corner of the HUD, the horizontal part of the crosshair aligns in height with the little dot in the other mechanical pipper. -
You meant rather pdf, I guess?...

This way you maintain original max movement speed of each sensor at the far end of the axis movement range, but the initial sensor moving speed will be damped. You start with increments of let's say "3" going up each axis (0, 3, 6...) entered manually in each little window at bottom. At the end you leave the far right axis to 100 no matter what, then by adjusting the next to last slider with your mouse now you smooth oour the last "oscillation wave" on the curve graphic (ended up at 40 on my picture). If you need more damping, you start with increments of "2" instead of "3", or if you want to have more movement, you make increments of 4 or 5. Your discretion.

Not sure I understand what you mean...

Make sure you try it in the Throttle column in the first place. And you can only assign it to an analog stick axis (and not to a 4-way switch), if you choose Axis commands. On the TM Throttle, only the nipple under your middle finger will be the only analog axis there to assign it to.

Just like Wasp said it. Also refer to as "corner speed". It is somewhere around 360-380-ish kts for the Hornet depending on weight and altitude. And you only pull the stick so much as to "sustain" this speed, nowhere near "max stick deflection", because max deflection is only to see the instantenious turn rate, but you can not SUSTAIN it. When at corner speed, if you see your speed going up, pull the stick a bit more, if you start slow down below that, release the stick a bit until speed catches back up. THis way you can have max turn rate "all day long" (until running out of gas of course realistically). Anywhere faster, and your turn rate will be lower because of G limit, anywhere slower and you will not be able to pull and SUSTAIN max G.

You can set if you want it to be displayed in the front of your right eye, or left or both (I guess). Guess in Options/Special/F-18 or something similar.

Which recovery type do you try to train, Case I, II or III? "Established" is for Case III only I guess.

Axis binding for NVG Gain
Razor18 replied to SickSidewinder9's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
No axis command for that. For keypress, choose Search (in controls) from the left side and type "gain". -

How can an Xbox controller add any input to any axis that is assigned to another controller (likely a joystick)?
