Mission 1 ATC instructions
Razor18 posted a topic in DCS: F/A-18C Operation Mountain Breeze Campaign
Hay Badger, I think in Mission 1, after separating Lion flight for DME ARC approach, ATC instructions are false when saying "join inbound 253 radial". Inbound radial 253 is on the opposite side of MESA 073 indbound radial, bringing any aircraft towards Akrotiri (inbound) on the 253 radial. In fact ATC should say join inbound 073 radial, as stated in the briefing for MESA approach anyway. Great campaign though ! -
Dang... after buying and installing the latest F-18 campaign "Mountain Breeze", it showed up fine among the campaigns. Then I tried uninstall and reinstall Green Line, and it turned out it doesn't appear as "Green Line", but together with F-18C Green Line Campaign, being way earlier in alphabetical order... So at the end it was user blindness from the get go. Sorry for the false alarm.

Thanks, but we are way beyond that with CS. They had me do repair, send them a lot of logs, disable all mods, still Green Line is not listed among F-18 campaigns. However all files are in the proper directory installed for Green Line. They are lost unfortunately.

As the title says. Just one click away from being switched off totally, IFEI is still too bright green in night mode. ALR-67 when trying to dim it, around half way between full bright and full dark starts to flicker on and off instead of dimming down any more. HMD is as IFEI, still halfway bright, then switch off, no any transition to near darkness. Already mentioned way back when... https://forum.dcs.world/topic/279906-dimmer-in-the-fuel-panel/#comment-5164913

cannot reproduce targeting pod issue (AT flir)
Razor18 replied to mla306's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Do you have your FOV/HARM SEQ/RAID button binded? The F-18 uses the radar elevation up and down AXIS or same keypresses for TGP zoom, if you put the priority diamond to the tgp screen. -
Nope, still flying the missions one by one.

need track replay BDU-45B and BDU-33 cannot use CCIP
Razor18 replied to krad_1337's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yup, probably that. With a designated target, you can only drop in AUTO. TO use CCIP, undesignate any target. -
Actually Customer Service couldn't fix it, whatever they suggested. But they promised to keep searching the solution. THey say I'm the only one not seeing it, and their version and about a hundred other campaign works well for pretty much everyone... WOuld be nice to fly it as campaign and not just as individual missions one by one (as I actually have the files at their proper target folder in File Explorer too)...

I'm also stuck exactly here... I dunno if the TacView helps any, but it looks like Spear flights weapons were on target but no effect? AAAs are still active after Spear strike... Tacview-20240525-153357-DCS-9 - The Oil Business - Part 3.zip.acmi

Can someone help me on the carrier landing
Razor18 replied to SUHANG's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Descent at touchdown should be no more than rather 700 feet/min. And if you are not overweight, AND fly the ball, it keeps it usually around or under 700 feet/min. -
Yup... must be something in my system (have a ton of campaigns, never had this problem before). Already dealilng with customer support, but what they suggested u to now did not work out...

Hi There, After installing (new campaign folder is indeed there among the older campaign folders) Green Line doesn't show up on the Campaigns/F-18 tab. Support had me delete everything from Saved Game/...../Mods folder, cleanup, repair and reinstall, but to no avail. Anyone else has this problem? Thanks

Can the CBUs still burst up properly only at 1500 feet? Any solution for that being really variable any time soon?

Inherent Resolve has now been upgraded to V2

Is Easy Comms on by default (cant see all comm menu items), or am I missing something? -
I think you have to set up any jet newly spawned, but why not just launch again with the same jet already set up?...
-
Based on the BIT screen still blinking on your right DDI, you might have made a bit of a rather hasty startup?...

You can check whether your joystick is offset from dead center, if you go into Controls, choose Axis command, and look at the pitch axis in the joystick column. If you move the joystick fwd and back you can see the white lines moving accordingly. In center position there should be no white line be visible, meaning dead center. If you let go of your joystick, but you can still see a tiny little part of the white line being visible left or right, then your joystick is not centered for the game, even if you think your joystick is phisically in the middle, because you do not touch it. And it is easier to set a Deadzone of 1 or 2 in the Curve setting window of DCS, this will make the tiny little white line go away. Try to find the minimum deadzone though, for obvious reasons.

How to set the main default cockpit view in the F18?

Glad it helped ! -
How to set the main default cockpit view in the F18?

RSHFT+RCTRL + NP Arrows move it up down left right, and RSHFT+RCTRL + NP/* move it FWD and back. Then save it with AltGr + NP 0. The proper vertical POV height is when, in the top right corner of the HUD, the horizontal part of the crosshair aligns in height with the little dot in the other mechanical pipper. -
You meant rather pdf, I guess?...

... on the F/A-18??...

This way you maintain original max movement speed of each sensor at the far end of the axis movement range, but the initial sensor moving speed will be damped. You start with increments of let's say "3" going up each axis (0, 3, 6...) entered manually in each little window at bottom. At the end you leave the far right axis to 100 no matter what, then by adjusting the next to last slider with your mouse now you smooth oour the last "oscillation wave" on the curve graphic (ended up at 40 on my picture). If you need more damping, you start with increments of "2" instead of "3", or if you want to have more movement, you make increments of 4 or 5. Your discretion.
