  1. I was making a D-day mission and saw this. It was only visible from certain angels. Somewhere near the yellow square. Wheather settings was 'Overcast 2' Might be worth pointing out the the mission was object heavy.
  2. Yep. Great sound but noticed the same. There should be no reverb inside (nor outside- unless stationary). It sounds to me like the guns sound the same inside and outside when they should be different.
  3. Normandy 2 looks gorgoeus, but it will indeed need the same colour treatment as provided in your previous Normandy mod. Hope to see it happen:)
  4. I think that Ugra calls the Channel area 'low detail' to respectfully not step on ED's toes by making the Channel map less relevant. Many of the examples I saw in the preview vids of N2's "low detail" channel area looks better to me than their Channel map version. That includes port towns, cliffs, coastline etc. There is no question that the texture work, especially on agricultural fields, forests, streams, etc (which is 95%) of the landmass- is much better done in N2, at all altitudes.
  5. I assume it is because it is WIP; but in Stormbirds preview, I noticed that the ridge above the white cliffs of Dover had tree coverage. These were not present at the represented time (I assume they dissappeared way before). Like I said, probably will be fixed, but wanted to point it out, given that it is an iconic location. https://stormbirds.blog/2023/04/09/dcs-normandy-2-preview-part-one/#jp-carousel-58452 https://historicengland.org.uk/images-books/archive/collections/aerial-photos/record/EAW020459
  6. ED (Not Ugra) need to fix the knee (almost waist) high grass that is everywhere. When sitting in the Spitfire, that grass clips though the wing. Airfields as well as most agricultural fields would not have that high grass. There are plenty of exception ofc, but seeing that savannah grass everywhere is annoying. UGRA: Latest updates are stunning. Especially impressed with ground detail and (The creek-dogfight video) and the bare-trees spring version. Wonderful!
  7. Plenty of Tomcat action in the CVW-66 cruise video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x9EtEphcQE&ab_channel=CarrierAirWing66
  8. Maybe after they update PG lights for the third time;) Kidding aside- I sure hope this is happening..
  9. Regading Reflected: He initially said it was "no way" he would convert his campaigns for the upgraded Normandy map- as it would be impossible to maintain both versions. Later however, he said he had some "great news" for the new map- which I interpreted as they might very well be ported over. The reason might be the the 'base' Normandy (which he uses) will be updated as well, meaning that the missions will be identical for both version of Normandy (Normandy 1 and 2). If so, that is great news indeed.
  10. This looks phenomenal. Like everyone else, I hope winter will be considered as well. Spring and autumn looks fantastic. Colours as well;)
  11. Other than colour balance the map looks great. I realize that some have pointed out issues with correct hangars etc- and it would be nice to see that adressed, but overall it looks nice. Except for the colours..
  12. It is just personal preference. Both are good. I prefer this one. Test both and keep the one you like.
  13. Fantastic additions- thank you very much for your efforts! I was hoping to see the navy supply ship you showed off earlier- so fingers crossed it might come in V.3:P
  14. Fantastic news! Looking forward to it.
  15. Alright. I'm ready. Sell me this map.
  16. You can't overlap two full blown texture packs without issue. All the similiar files will be overwritten by what was last installed- and there are adjustments made to other things as well. You might achieve something if you start to pick and match file for file (I actually did it some before), but the chance is that it will mess with the overall palette. You are sure to be better off using one texture pack.
  17. Looks stunning. Great work!
  18. These WIP shots are much appreciated. The detail is very impressive. Also nice to see you engage on the forums and take constructive criticism to make it the best map possible. Would it be possible over time to see some shots from a higher altitude as well? That is where we spend most of our time, and some maps look great from 2000 feet, but are far less convincing at altitude, especially when not using satelite textures.
  19. Snow works now. But it requires temps to be quite lower then 0 deg celcius (5 or 10) for it to appear.
  20. Ship pack off course! Your mods are top notch Eight Ball- never stop:)
  21. You need to download latest version after previous patch.
  22. Thanks for the info- I stand corrected. Points remain valid though- so I am cautiously optimistic:)
  23. One can hope. One thing is certain- and that is that DCS is capable of more objects and sharper textures. Considering that the latest products of Ugra have been of very good quality (Syria, "Other sim" Normandy) I think it is likely that the quality will be matched and hopefully even surpassed. I still think Normandy is far superior to the Channel in terms of texture crispness- and flying at over 3000 ft. The Channel is superior in terms of airfields and to some extent towns and cities. In terms of fields, forests and textures, Normandy is still king IMHO. Since the "other" sims Normandy now has a believable colour palette, one can hope that this also rubs off on DCS. Throw in London and Paris as well as detailed UK coastline and we will have the best western front map yet.
  24. This is an excellent version Barthek. Seasons and textures look natural and crisp. Both winter versions look excellent as well, with the snowless one being a huge step up from its last iteration. If I might offer a minor input: Is there an option to make leafless tress for winter- or are you locked with using a 'dark autumn' color? That was the only thing that I noticed. Had a flight over the snowless winter yesterday. Put the temp at -10 and put on the 'rain-1' preset (Which will then be snow due to temp). Looked great and was very atmospheric.
  25. That shot is from his previos version: "Caucasus redone 2021". The current download is a newer "Caucasus redone 2022" and an altogether different version.
