So, now FuG 16 radio works as it did IRL in A-8. Will the radio work the same way in the rest of LW planes. And please correct it in A-8 manual, p.76, where is thenl old description, which is now confusing.

Very remarkable news in the last patch!

At least I./JG 2 got order to use WGr.21 against Allied invasion. Lt. Wolfgang Fisher from 3. Staffel "... our Dodels (rockets) were prepared and we took off at abour 9.30 hours for lour first low-level attack on the landing fleetin the English sector of Caen - Bayeux. The landing craft provided good targets" ... But successes were probably very limited, if any... -
One from many...

One from the most important information from todays Weekend News: With the Wulf finally out of early access, we look forward to further improvements. Making the aircraft even more complex with the F-8 attack and G-8 light bomber variations. F-8 and G-8 are still planned for DCS W  -

It was mounted from July 44, like you wrote. Part where 1,58/1,65 is described says something like :"It is tested in Rechlin now, but it has not been approved yet" -
In document issued by USAAF in 1946 is written that Detrola has range 150 miles, no 5-10... But, it always depends on beacon transmitted power because Detrola is only receiver. that is your point of view, and IMO it is not correct Btw. pilot should start to turn a new heading when he lost beacon signal, in that moment he was above beacon and he knew his exact position... (cone of silent) BC-1206 Detrola description from above mentioned document: ..indicates by aural signal the aircraft's position in relation to right or left bearing of the transmitter. ..
-
Yes, you are right, in Air Navigation textbook from that era it is called that.
-
OK you receive your NDB signal and then WHAT? Nothing... BC-1206 Detrola is NOT NDB device, it needed A-N beacons for proper function and they were placed only in the USA. A-N beacons and NDBs are not cooperating systems, each requires different plane equipments. Their basic principles are different. One shows azimuth related to magnetich North, second provides audio signal related to ground beacon antennas positions. %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/vSJNlIc.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/IdaUid0.jpg[/img]

You need proper functional environment for these. SCR-695-A IFF - Alied WWII radars with interrogators AN/ARA-8 - functional CW mode for VHV radios BC-1206 Detrola - continental USA map from 30. - 40. Nothing is in DCS W already or planed for future. Without these, there is no reason ...
-
I hope that autoTWS will solve it.
-
Yes, it is. But not fast one. Open Jesster menu then open - Beyond visual range radar - Scan azimuth radar and after that you have menu with 4 azimuth settings plus center radar (and AUTO elevation and azimuth radar, means center radar too)

Hello, USA got a new AAA unit, Third Reich equipment 8,8 Flak 36, with the last update - 2.5.6. Is it intention or mistake?
-
Only AB bombs are available for only A-8. The rest from your list is not even on airbases storage list in mission editor.
-
I like them :D Now ED, please give them to the rest of Luftwaffe planes

Bulk cargo ship Ykushev and Dry cargo ship Ivanov vanish too.

Actually modification which brought increased power was not applied (retrofitted) on 8th AF P-47s, they already had increased power due to use 100/150 fuel. So, you can take it as a plane with better fuel :). p.s. modification for increased power were introduced during D-28 production, all D-30 had it
-
The main difference between D-25 and D-30 were dive flaps. D-30 were produced with increased WEP from 2300 to 2535HP, D-25 needed retrofited with kit for it, it was with 100/130 fuel. Minor were different propeller, but it could change during service, flor in cockpit, some changes inside cockpit. Both models left factory without dorsal fin, both were retrofited with it.
-
All external P-47 view show D-30 standard MK.VIII gunsight, one cockpit view shows MK.14 gyro... Which one will be used, or we will have option to select from them?
-
P-47 units in ETO used except bombs bazookas. No P-47D-30 left factory with capability to carry HVARs, D-40 was first model with that. But since August 44 406th FG 9th AF has started to upgrade unit's P47s to carry 4 HVARs as a first unit (finaly was not only one unit, btw French P-47 unit use them too, there is foto from spring 45). Do not forget that only 4 HVARs are correct for WWII ETO era, post war modifications for 10 of them do not fit for WWII scenario... Except -N models :) 406FG P-47, August 44

Can't wait... both, Jug and map

[NO BUG]Problem with rocket firing when the bomb is suspended.
saburo_cz replied to Padonis's topic in Bugs and Problems
You can use only one external loadout. That is not bug. Dora's "weapon system" can not switch between two external loadouts. I think, it was discussed here in past. -
According to todays newsletter, Allied are going to get 90mm AA gun plus 0.5cals M45 Quadmount. It looks like that "the disproportion" will be erased with incoming Assets pack update. As always, question is when? :)

All airbases i have tested talk to my Mustang/Spitfire, on ground or in the air (have not tested all, but most of them). Tangmere is the exception, this tower reamains quiet. It is reported but without answer yet. I just set the tower frequency in ME and in game open "COMMS MENU" - "F5" - then select intended airport, this works. On ground / cold start, you need only battery "ON", proper chanel button and open comms menu, nothing more is required.

This is reason why ext. fuel tanks are connected with two pipes, one for fuel goes out and secont for pressured air goes in. Not 75 galls which we have in game, they were from metal, only 108 galls from UK production were from paper...
